    Thank you very much! You just saved my marriage. I wanted to clean the door and my husband was against it. We got into a huge fight because we couldn’t figure out how to put the door back on. Thank you very much and God bless you. 💜💜

    First, thanks for excellent instruction!! I have always hated the dirt between the glass. BUT - for those trying to get the door back on (which I thought would be the easiest part!) I ran into trouble. The answer is in a previous reply but thought I would repeat it here again. The door hinges that are inserted back into the slots in the stove may need to be "opened" slightly, otherwise the notches on the hinge bottom will not engage with the stove slot and the door will fall off. If the hinges are at 90 degrees, use a pair of pliers to position them slightly "forward" (away from the center of the door). You can then insert the hinge all the way into the slot and the notch will engage. Sadly, I needed a repairman to show me this trick but now I know for the next time!!! :- )

      "If the hinges are at 90 degrees, use a pair of pliers to position them slightly "forward" (away from the center of the door). " I can't for the life of me understand this tip! The hinges have to be rotated slightly DOWNWARD (with the door upright)? Take some force? Help, please.

    Thanks for your video ! An appliance repair man told me a few years ago that I couldn't clean the inside glass, he said it was sealed, and it has really been bothering me ! I was getting ready to order all new glass and thought I should check out a video on here to watch the process before I ordered them. You saved me $125 to $150, and my glass looks like new !! Thanks again !

    Many thanks for this! I have a Samsung Gas Range, NX58K3310S, purchased in 2016, and the only difference was the removal of the interior glass panel, which, fortunately for me, I didn't need to deal with. So glad I searched for and found this since I would have removed every screw I could see to get where I needed to go, and still not be sure it could be done!
    The best part was doing the whole project in the time I'd be waiting on the phone for tech support from either Samsung or Lowes (to tell me it couldn't be done except by a technician). Saved again by the internet, TH-cam, and the kind people who share their expertise!

Instead of taking the oven apart and then figuring out that I have no clue what I'm doing and then having to call a service person to fix the mess I made (which has happened many times); I was able to fix this myself. That's what I did! I took those big screws out at the top and let the outer shell of the oven door down gently to where it stopped. Then I couldn't go any farther. So I've been studying this video for a couple of days every chance I get. If I can get someone here to give me a second pair of hands, I think I can put it back together. Signed, Oma at 80 but still thinking.

    Just as you indicated regarding boiling over items, the wife boiled over some pasta and I didn't realize it had dripped down the vent holes and onto all three pieces of interior glass. You saved me big time starting with unlocking the hinges and getting the entire door off. Before I searched youtube I was contemplating several alternatives which would have cost me tons of time and possibly unrecoverable errors. I also couldn't understand why the bracket holding the middle glass only had 4 versus 6 screwes. Again, you had the answer. Bottom line.......I truly appreciate the video. After about 30 minutes I have an oven door that looks new again. Thank you.

    Thank you for posting this video! We followed your instructions and everything worked great, except for the last step - reinserting the door back into the oven. The issue was that if we put it back almost vertically at an angle of 15 degrees or so, as you show in your video, the door sits too high in the closed position and comes nearly flush with the upper lip of the oven and not closing properly leaving gap at the bottom. We tried to wiggle the door, press harder, inserted and took it out several times, but all with the same result - the door was sitting too high to close properly. TH-cam to rescue - we looked at the videos that other people posted for other oven brands and confirmed that this issue seems consistent for all other oven doors with similar hinge/latch systems. In order to get it in at the correct position, the door hinges need to be semi-open to about 45 degrees. To do that we have pushed the hinges open to a 45 degree angle and in order to keep them in that position we used spare screwdriver bits inserted into the opening between the hinge and the opening in the door where it is attached. After inserting the door into the oven we lowered it to the flat open position, lifted the latches into the locked position and removed screwdriver bits that were no longer needed to hold hinges in place. After that the door closed at the exactly correct position. PS: Some people had to use pipe as a lever to get hinge to open to 45 degrees, but in our case I was able to use kitchen towel as a cushion and simply push it to the needed level by hand.

    • @IanDavisPhotography
      @IanDavisPhotography  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Konstantin Chabanny I just tried removing and installing the door and ran into problems. It turns out that there is a small notch on the bottom of the shiny metal, hinge arm. That has to fit precisely in the receiver. Now that my door isn't perfectly square after 3 years of use, I found that I had to push the door in, pull it back slightly, and make sure the locks are not tight against the door. Then I was able to push the door in a bit more and seat the notches properly.
      I did find a video online that used screw driver bits in the manner you suggested. It seems that would work too so is a viable option. Thanks for your suggestion.

    Wow. You are amazing. I have a Samsung stove and it has the same slots. I was cleaning the glass top with a solution of vinegar and baking soda and it somehow went over the stove top into those vents and now I have these horrible stripes. I am not very handy. I am not sure I can do this. Something tells me those long screws will be hard to line up. Its Covid 19 and I am not sure I am strong enough to get the door back on. Maybe I will put a piece of art on it for now with rubber suction cups and then when it is safer I can at lest have a friend near by to help. You made it look easy like If I tripled the time and allowed half an hour to clean the glass I could do it.

    I wish I would have seen this video before. I tried to clean the inside window without removing the door and broke the 3 attachments to the 3 screws at the bottom of the front panel. The first step you demonstrated to remove it. Not sure if Samsung will have a part for it.

    Oh my gosh! Thank you!! I asked a technician several years ago if there was any way to clean in there and he said there wasn’t. 😏I’ve had a disgusting milk streaked door for years. I just found my next project!

    Liked! Not all inner glass brackets are the same. You are the only one I could find with this style component as the thermal glass bracket. I've used this video for the door removal several months ago. Now I'm using it for the inner glass removal. Most importantly to me was understanding where force could be applied, especially when the seized debris held the frame to the glass. I have a GE model. Neither GE nor the big box store have a manual. Mmmmm,
    My Archived Manual model # J BP66W0K1WW,, has the same inner glass bracket. Thanks.

    Thank you for the easy step-by-step instructions My stove is a Samsung but it's a different model. I had no problems at all. It was a breeze. I had assumed that it was going to be much harder to do until I came across your video. Looks like I got a new stove.
