- On the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of November Network rail carried out a full track relay between whitstable and chestfield and swalecliffe including digging right down to the clay and mud and putting completely new sand, ballast and track down in replacement. This was a continuation of a track relay done the week before nearer to whitstable station which i couldn't see much of due to working but i managed to film this on my week off from work.
This video includes shots of freight trains arriving and leaving the engineering possession including GBRf class 66743 in Royal Scotsman livery along with Colas Rail Freight's 70811 which is a rarity down in Kent so it was a nice change. Also included is clips of work being carried out and idle shots of the loco's. I hope you all enjoy this different kind of video, Thanks for watching!
