I love that you mentioned Underoath because the opening of the song reminds me of early Norma Jean.
This single took a little time for me to dial into. But, after a few listens, it clicked. I too had to look up vore, so with the imagery and the lyrics, it all makes sense. It’s just so brilliantly crafted. I’m really excited to see what the entire album will hold for us.

Really got a throwback with this one, too. In college I went down the rabbit hole of atmospheric black metal from all over the world and the vocals on this one really remind me of that. It's like blackened deathcore. There was a band called Celeste that really had a similar sound (but all heavy). ST is my favorite band and a lot of that is thanks to you.
I race to your channel whenever new Sleep Token music is released… Your succinct and intelligent take on it is always refreshing. But that is only secondary to the real reason: It brings me such joy to witness this sort of excitement for music that we have a mutual love for. There is value in discovering that, how you feel about a particular piece of art is similar to another’s, especially for something unusual and unconventional as Sleep Token’s music. It is certainly nice to know we’re on the same page. 😅

I've said this in other comment sections, but I'm pretty certain IV is doing all the screaming in this. It's the same tone as the scream IV does in the summoning, and it's amazing.

I was wondering if you've ever heard of the band Loathe and if not, maybe you could do a react to them? The screams for me are a bit wet, by that I mean from the throat and are quite easy in a vocal sense, ie. not damaging, but sound rough, high and screamy. Vessel like all vocalists understands his instrument, and damaging his instrument is not good in any sense, so if he needs to go outside his comfort zone, do it in the safest way possible, he knows he's not Will Ramos and can't do what he does without hurting himself.
