I love watching the hands of a master guitarist. This is a beautiful song. Thanks for letting God work through you, John Mark! I'm pretty sure you don't have a song I don't like. LO
@@chelseagreene7883 James Duke (green guitar) used to play with JMM (brown guitar), making sublime music that combined incredible heartland songwriting with otherwordly ambient electric playing. To me, their partnership was a high point in CCM. James is no longer a regular member of John Mark's band, and I really miss those days and the albums they made together.
I do have a question, it looks like you wrap your thumb over the top of the neck for the top string. Do you not play the top string? Or is that just to help you hold the guitar, as I've seen that being done before....
@mrspaix With Gibson acoustics, it's really hard to find a nice sounding one for less that $4,000. Look at Martin's or Taylors. Amazing sound for around $1,500.
I love this song. If anyone wants to learn what the lead guitar is playing, I just posted a video so you can see all the parts. Im a James Duke fan haha.

Thanks for posting this, John Mark!!!
!! the begining he says " Hi this is John Mark, and James" and I thought ( and Matthew, Peter, Paul...
My J-45 (same model as his in the video) was $1599 in '03...I can't find another guitar that I like better. It sounds unbelievable.
Watching this in 2018 is like finding a video of when your parents were still together.
JJ Surma 😂
I don't get it.
