The 1994 self titled album was really heavy and rocking. John Corabi on vocals and rhythm guitar. Freed up Mick Mars to play his solos. His best work. If you want to check out more with John Corabi check out The Scream - Man In The Moon. He was also a member of Union (with Bruce Kulick from Kiss). Check out Love (I Don't Need It Anymore), Tangerine and Do Your Own Thing.
Thank you so much for reacting to my requests Milli! This is by far one of my favorite Motley Crue songs. This is one of those rare instances where the band "changes their tune" with a different lead (think Van Halen). BTW, your face when you found out this wasn't Vince Neil as the lead singer was priceless. Would love to see you perform the bass line to this song!
This album is the only one made with Corabi, and arguably their best. They missed an opportunity to make some more great music, instead went back to Neil and the rest is history, or lack of music history.
That album with Corabi is still one of my all time favorites. One of the heaviest albums they had put out up that time. A lot of fans at the time never gave Corabi a chance.
Millie!! You back! Millita, regresaste. Qué bueno verte por aquí. I was watching your Star Wars collection on Patreon. I love your highlights 😍 Im with you on this one, Millie. I know Mötley Crüe. You like the drums? Tommy Lee is great, and hilarious! There’s a a reaction on Tommy reacting to kids.. reacting to Mötley Crüe! Hysterically hilarious! I didnt know this song, either. Great tune! The guys of Mötley Crüe would be so honored hearing say that this tune of theirs gives you a Led Zeppelin vibe. That’s high praise 👏🏽
You know, Millie, I like your modesty; tu sencillez inspira. Mira, I’m a musician and record producer. I love your reactions because you’re spontaneous. You ARE a musician; you react to music first, then, video, lyrics. I love that about you. You listen, you appreciate music first. My favorite reactions, Serú Girán and Héctor Lavoe; I watch them over and over 😄 No video, no nada; you absorbed the music first. La letra de Ruben Blades en “El cantante” es imposible de ignorar, and even though you were focusing on how intrinsically complex salsa percussion can be, you picked up on the lyrics, as well. Amazing reactions; both.
Sorry about the lack of views... but this version of Motley Crue was not popular when they debuted in 1994 w/ new vocalist John Corabi. Original Motley Crue singer Vince Neil was fired in 1992 because he wasn't into the band's newer music and was no longer showing up for rehearsals... Bassist Nikki Sixx was a fan of the band The Scream and asked their singer/ guitarist John Corabi to join the band and co-write a new album... Drummer Tommy Lee was also relieved because he wasn't getting along w/ Vince Neil at the time. The self-titled 'Motley Crue' album was produced by Bob Rock (who produced Metallica's 'black' album and Motley's '89 album 'Dr. Feelgood') and the record ran a $1 million price tag... It was heavier than previous Motley records and they were hopeful they could appeal to fans in the 90's grunge rock era. Unfortunately, the vitriol against 80's rock bands had decimated the careers of platinum selling bands in the 90's... and Motley Crue w/ a new singer had no chance, even though John Corabi was a better live singer than Vince Neil... Motley's '94 album went gold in the US (half million copies) while the previous album 'Dr. Feelgood' sold 6x platinum in 1989. Motley Crue was forced to play smaller venues and the tour was over that very year w/ no dates booked overseas because of poor demand... The financial loss was staggering. Vince Neil launched his solo career in 1993 w/ the album 'Exposed'... it sold poorly as well. In 1995, Motley Crue began work on a 2nd album w/ John Corabi on vocals. However, the band was at a crossroads musically and could not agree on a direction ... John Corabi recalled hearing names of bands he couldn't care less about - Oasis... Manic Street Preachers... that the band was trying to emulate. Finally in 1996, Motley Crue decided to bring back singer Vince Neil and record the album 'Generation Swine' that was released in 1997 after Corabi was fired... That album actually sold worse than the 'Motley Crue' album. For his part, John Corabi formed a new band called Union, which recorded 2 studio albums - 'Union' (1998) and 'The Blue Room' (2000) w/ former Kiss guitarist Bruce Kulick... very impressive hard rock albums but neither sold commercially at the time.
Este disco el slave to the grind de skid row, el grandioso balance de van halen tambien el face the heat de scorpions excelentes discos muy pulcros y llenos de grandes canciones pero el grunch ya dominaba la escena saludos
Nice choice. As much as I like their old stuff with Vince, I think this record was a damn good effort to transition the band into the 90s with Grunge getting big and the "Hair Metal" genre started to fade. Unfortunately it hadn't the success it deserved IMO.
I just discovered this channel. Dr Feelgood is one of the best rock albums in history in my opinion. I’ll have a look to see if you’ve already reviewed any of those songs, if not I recommend them! Start with the title track.
lm 54yo...and a Crue guy from the 80s...and This Album IS "CRUE"...! Vince was DONE and His voice and ETC. John and The Guys wrote and recorded this BAD ASS music. and Nobody bought it. WHY...!!!!!! ??? The Whole album is GReat...! Find it....!
I miss this Crue. They were on top of their game with John Corabi on vocals and guitars. You should check out Corabi's latest band, The Dead Daisies. Mexico, Let It Be (Live at Woodstock), he also has a great newish solo song called Casa Bella (She's SO Beautiful) an amazing song by an amazing singer song writer, unlike the current version of Motley Crue who couldnt write a good song to save thier lives, anymore.
Alice In Crue. Attempt to keep up with changing musical landscape turned out to be one of their best albums. Corabi was a very talented guy and they made a mistake letting him go IMO. Look at Bloated Vince now, miming to Backing Tracks and it's pretty embarrassing.
the bass is basic because its nikki sixx playing...he was never a real bassist...he was a partying junkie who learned just enough to be part of a famous band....btw; why do all reactors now begin videos with a snipette from the middle? and still reminding us after 20 years, that theres a like button..
This is one of the BEST rock albums of all time by ANY band. John Corabi is kick ASS, known him for 14 years, such a humble person!!!
Best crue album!!!
This one & girls girls girls are my favorite albums.

This is a great album & have always like Corabi's vocals.
Il migliore dei crûe🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Tommy has some awesome drum parts on this album

Pienamente d'accordo con te grande Corabi🤘🤘
THE Best. lm 54

BTW, every time I watch a Millie reaction, I end up having that catchy outro-song stuck in my head for hours...😅
I saw this tour…1. ALL the older songs were way heavier with John on vocals. 2. There were naked chicks everywhere
1. You're a lucky man. 2. I envy you.
John Corabi is the current singer for the band The Dead Daises
John Corabi is very underrated 👍 After Too Fast For Love & Shout at the Devil this is the 3rd best Crue album 🤘

Underrated song...
It was an awesome song, only good song that I can recall from the album with John.

Must check out their 80's stuff. "Wild Side" for example..
Great
Millie, we ❤ U. Check out Against The Current, Guano Apes and Dead Sara
Give a try to David Lee Roth - Yankee Rose
Hello there hey there hey Hello hey there
Hands down one of the best rock records ever made. John is a beast.

Need to look at Skid Row, hard stuff not ballads. Youth Gone Wild. That’s your time capsule of a generation.
Vince Neil cannot sing a song anymore, sadly, but good move from the Crue. They should have done it a long time ago.
