This was a great tutorial, packed with information and tips. The explanation about brushes was very enlightening. And seeing the way you approached drawing helped me think what I might try better. The explanation of your painting process is so clear and detailed but calm and relaxed. Thank you very much!

Thank you very much for your advice, you are very generous, and when I read your biography, it fills me with emotion to know that there are people with such beautiful thoughts. I understand you and I identify with you. I am a musician and I fully share your ideas. I congratulate you for the beautiful family that you have and deserve. Thank you.

thank you! I’m watching now and happy to see this topic because I am doing a portrait of an infant this weekend. Wish me luck! I think it will be OK because I have watched your portrait tutorials and I am using a limited palette. (and I have your brush set)😊

Thanks Eric! The tree is a perfect, seasonal subject for me to practice wet on wet w your brushes (which I have) and get more use out of them 😊

Wow! I watched you starting in & all the way through COVID! I recall you got aTH-cam award for lots of subscribers. I did learn lots about watercolor & sold hand painted post cards for those years. Snd have kept going so had 18 of my crazy 5x7 paintings in a gallery here in Marfa, TX! So thank you.
AND I was on craftmo to order Sarah Burns brushes …. Wow! So I ordered your brushes too! Haven’t received yet but I’ll let you know. Think they are just what I needed for my desert plein air fun. I’m going bigger ..

Eric, I learn a lot from your clear explanations and demos. I'm glad it's okay to use a ruler and masking fluid, as long as I work on basic skills and don't rely on them too much. Thank you for this great video!

This is a great video, but I'm wondering why, when you started the buildings, and the wash was pretty wet, and the sky was still wet, how come the buildings didn't bleed into the sky and get all fuzzy? Mine always bleed into the sky if I don't dry the sky first. Thank you!

Hi, if you meant the skyscraper on the back, when I paint it the sky was indeed dried.
Becaues I paint tilted, the sky usually dry pretty fast because all the moisture and water flow down to the bottom. So the top of the painting usually dry pretty fast unless I spray extra water on it.
