      Hopefully, we will make it happen at some stage soon, the volume of travel I've done this past 2 months has been inane ( thousands of kilometres) so is very difficult to plan ahead and collab, Nevs prob in the same situation covering new spots and creating great content.

    Great video Alan; Mallacoota is one of my favourite places to fish for bream and flatties inside. I usually only fish soft plastics, but this video has convinced me to give hard bodies a red hot go on the bream. They do go well on the motor oils too.
    Really appreciate your time and effort editing these vlogs showcasing great content on the Victorian waterways.

    Awesome work bro! Great to see someone actually catching fish… the fishing has been REAL slow up here in FNQ, 5 hours yesterday and today and only 2 fish… it’s just because I suck at fishing 😂😂
    Keep up the amazing work! Loving these bream ones! Tight lines bro! 🇦🇺🎣🤙🇦🇺🎣🤙🇦🇺🎣🤙

      Yeah, fishing the last 2 months has been tough and historically every year July and August are the slowest months. Already seen some amazing signs over the past 2-3 weeks so it will be a massive season ahead so hang in there as the catches will come on strong soon.

    Great episode Al ! how heavy was the winning bag and what was the longest bream caught ?🍻

    • @fishingmad
      @fishingmad  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The winning bag over the 2 days was 8.6kg, wasn't a lot of huge ones caught in this tournament biggest one was 1 kilo about 44cm I believe

    i love your videos and you are one of the main people who have inspired me to start fishing i was just wondering on your website you give some tips on fishing at Rowville lakes but you have no videos there are you planning on filming a video there? if so i recommend go on the kayak great video!

    • @fishingmad
      @fishingmad  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks !! It's great to hear the content has inspired you. It does get pretty tough filming at all the locations. The fishingmad website in over 15 years has covered nearly 250 locations and we have filmed at almost 100 of them. The volume of travel and hours has become insane, I have a list of spots that we will try to cover next, so hopefully, at some stage we will cover that spot too.

    Great vid AL! What do you reckon i need some opinions, ive got the 20 ex infeet but ive always wanted a grubfreak seeing as that rod you were using is a twitchfreak? If you’ve used a grubfreak before does it feel better or worse than the infeet 20 models i remembered you used to have a 20 ex aswell cheers.

    Hey Alan, what rods do you suggest for whiting fishing, I see videos of people using 1-4/2-4 kilo rods and a big sinker on a boat dropping it straight down, and I thought the rod would break. I fish land-based so I can't just drop the sinker down, but a big sinker would snap my rod. Also, how can I get my burley/pellets for whiting out when land-based fishing because the burley/pellets will float. thanks

    • @davidfargetta2851
      @davidfargetta2851 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you fish port Phillip Bay you won't need a big sinker to get to the bottom

    • @fishingmad
      @fishingmad  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It all depends on where you're fishing. Port Phillip Bay for the most part is not tidal so only requires very small sinkers and 1-4kg or 2-4kg rods. That's what I use and it works great. Even land-based fishing, a small sinker with a 1-4 or 2-4kg rod will cast heaps far. If you are fishing tidal areas like Western Port then 100% need to go much heavier to 3-5 kg rod minimum.
