- One year ago, I bought and built the Particles kit, thinking I understood what it did. I was wrong. Now I've got the hang of it, I wanted to show you what it does with a bit more certainty and point out that it's pretty awesome and is starting to become a permanent feature in my case.

I’ve had a number of modules like that. I plugged them in, tried them and just didn’t get it, but couldn’t part with them. Then, often about a year later, something clicks and I’m glad I didn’t sell it off, and then it gets used a lot. I think sometimes modular synths are about discovery, and RE-discovery over years. (For me at least). Great video, sir. I love your approach! Thanks for the hard work.
Well said!
Thank you for this fantastic follow up! Built a Particles module awhile back and never fully implemented it in my music making process, as I initially thought it would be something of a complex Grids (which as I recall, you mentioned in your last video as well). Thinking of it more as something to manipulate and add spice to a pre-existing pattern is a much more accurate way of understanding its functionality. "Gater" was always a feature on the module I just had never fully explored.. thank you for the insight on its application! A very creative and complex module and a fantastic example of the brilliance of modular synthesis.
Thank you Robin.
I've had the same issue, at least I couldn't get it to do quite what I expected it to do. I assumed that I just messed up the build somehow. I'll have to revisit it now, thanks, Robin!
Just spotted the M1 mixer from DPW, great little mixer that really glues the mix together but I may have to change the knobs for something my fingers can use easier.
I know what you mean about the knobs, it's just a little tight in there
There’s definitely a Roman amphitheater vibe at 3:17.
It's awesome!
Yeah I had one and sold it lol
looks cool and a bit like idum
now absorb makes more sense... i thought id stuffed up something in the build..!!!
All we need is a levering nerd translator .. hahahaha..
I can cope with a lot of the nerd levels my self... but i struggle with super genius level nerd.....
god love the super genius nerds.. without them we would not get so many amazing modules & synths..
maybe that's a app idea.. hahaha..
Oh it had me baffled for ages :D
You look like Oleksander Usyk’s dad.
all right
You are HILARIOUS 😂!!! Just read the damn manual silly man ~❤
I tried and it was beyond my understanding. I talked to Mr Panda and the words did not describe my reality. Some things you have to work out for yourself.
@@MoltenMusicTech😮 Oh, that's not good at all 😢...
I think I prefer the idea of a Stolperbeats from @makingsoundmachines
I like the idea of Stolperbeats too but in use i've found it very preset pattern driven and either very straight or too wild. And it's huge.
