Sensational video. Suilven is very special for me as in June last year, it was my first Scottish mountain I’d climbed up and my first Scottish wild camp. Had glorious weather with stunning views in every direction. Thank you Feargus for helping bringing back such special memories. ❤️🏴
It's arguably my favourite walk, a wee dauner I had with my father when he was a tender 72 years young. The idea if paragliding is something I fancied giving a go when I was younger. Bottle is not what it used to be. 😂 Enjoyed the video. 👍
Wow that was fantastic Fergus. Breathtaking scenery hey. I’ve been up Suilven twice and camped on it once. So great to see it from your flying experience. Really love your footage. ATB 🙏👍
Fergus!!! That was incredible. We’ve just got back from two weeks in Scotland, our first week we stayed in Lochinver with a view over to Suilven. We climbed it a few years back and it’s still probably my fav. That walk in is brutal, can’t imagine doing it with all that on my back. Superb video and an incredible experience, beats coming down that zig zag path. We did Quinag and the Fiddler while we were up there, we got the same clear blue skies for Quinag, I’m just in the process of editing our vid for that. It really is a stunning part of the world up there. Thanks for such a brilliant vid. I always keep an eye out for your new uploads. Andy
Thanks Andy. I’m delighted you got the weather to do Quinag - we’ve had a great run of autumn weather up here after the windy summer! Quinag is another iconic Assynt mountain, and on my list for paragliding at some point as well 🙂
Hi Feargus, I met you on the path at the base of Suilven as you were heading up for your summit camp and paraglide down. I was making my way back down to my bike. I kept your card and finally got round to watching your video - incredible!! This took me right back. How lucky we were with the weather!
Thanks Laura. Looking back on the rest of that week you must have had a wonderful next few days cycling in the sunshine. Hope the legs weren't too sore after the mountain 🙂
Amazing Fergus, just wondering when you was there as I had a week of incredible weather on Orkney and Hoy middle of September, bike and tent, basking in it 🌞🚴♂️🚴♂️👍🍻
@@cooperswayadventures Thanks for the comment :) This was in the first week of September. While you were in Orkney I was unfortunately unable to get out camping because of other commitments 😭. Awesome that you timed your trip for the good weather though... it's not something that can be taken for granted!
@@feargusc i tried to get there in may during that aurora thing, heat completely crushed me with two bags, got to the bothy, had to rest for two days, but while sitting outside staring at suilven, i saw somebody standing just to the left of the peak cairn, and got a vertigo panic hehehe
Hahhaha brilliant love the landing. I wonna do a crash course in how to do this solo man I wonna buy the gear learn and do it man Thanks brilliant video
Hi Fergus, brilliant footage, I've been up Suilven twice now its beautiful. just a question did you paraglide down with your rucksack loaded with your camping equipment.
Thanks Steve... It certainly is a stunning peak alright. The old harness I use had an integrated big foam cushion in its original configuration - which I removed and I use the fairly large space to stuff all my gear into :)

You’re very welcome. It’s an awesome one for your first Scottish mountain - and quite a long way to go as well 🙂
Great video. Such a stunner of a mountain. Great rapid takeoff too. See you in the next one ❤
Thank you - glad you enjoyed it :)
So glad you got the weather for this one. Wonderful views and a very adventurous way to see Suilven .Who needs a drone! Fantastic photos too.
Thanks a million 🙂
Cracking video! Looked like an exciting take off in the end. Some great shots, love the clouds rolling over Canisp.
Cheers John. Yes the clouds were amazing that evening, and thankfully not covering Suilven itself.

A lovely thing to do with your Dad. My bottle's not what it used to be either believe it or not!
awsome Fergus!!! loved this one 😊
Thanks Brendan :)

Thanks Wayne. Glad it brought back some memories for you. It's a really special one :)
Fergus yes please to the question about photography, great videos.
Cheers, I will get one or two vids out over the winter with some more photography tips than I usually do.
Wow Fergus, absolutely stunning mate, what a way to descend off a mountain! 😀
Loved it mate.
Thank you!

jeezo!.... it takes courage to climb a mountain, but you have to be a superhero to paraglide off one hehehe
Thanks. Don’t know about a superhero… lots of things scare me - just not this sort of thing 😅

Thanks Ev. I did the training 20-years ago (!) and it took a few weeks - with a lot of waiting around for the weather. As you can see I'm a bit rusty!
Another incredible video my friend. Wonderful stuff. VBW 🙏🏻
Many thanks Dave.
