I've ordered a ton of things from Popflex! I'm not much of an expert, but will say there have been pros and cons. Pros: + Designs are usually thoughtful (pockets, warmth, etc) + Quality is often nice in regards to stitching, little details & embellishments, etc + Leggings so far have been squatproof Cons: - Pockets are often too small to carry a full size phone - Sports bras do not work well for DD+ - Material choice is hit or miss, the brunch sweatshirt for example fades, attracts stains even from sneezing, and pills - None of the clothes are designed with curvy bodies in mind; the leggings work best on column bodies, the hems of tops/dresses are never longer in the back for coverage, the proportions do not seem to change as sizing goes up (ex. extra space where fat would naturally be or extra material for "chub rub"), etc I really love some of Popflex stuff, but for the higher price point (and lack of sales) I do expect to not be disappointed as often as I have been.
@@Talley.I believe you and it was good information since I've been interested in the brand. However, I remember Cassey doing a TH-cam short on how she altered the circle shirt to be longer in the back. Not sure if that helps at all. I love the thought put into the designs, and it's a shame that the pockets aren't big enough. She had videos saying you can fit a whole 32oz water bottle in them, which nobody would do, and it would stretch them out, but I think she was just trying to show off the pocket size.
The best leggings I've ever had are from a brand called Mondetta. I'd never heard of it, but they were £2 in a charity shop and the colours were nice, so I bought them. I've been wearing them at least weekly for over 2 years now and they still look new. I was surprised to find that Mondetta is a cheap brand in the US/Canada (I'm English) and their clothes are sold at supermarkets. I presumed they must have been a premium brand!
The best leggings I've ever owned were $14 from walmart. Never pilled, breathed well, not see-through, and I went rock-climbing in them multiple times. Also mostly polyester but they were great. 2 years later, still in good condition, just need new ties since mine fell out in the wash.
It’s crazy how alo entered the market. To me it came outta no where. Came super fast and they have sooo many retail shops. But I’m so glad you’re educating everyone about how doodoo of a brand it is.
thank you, i use your tips a lot while thrifting so i can find high quality pieces! you’ve convinced me to replace everything with natural fibers and to look at seams, buttons, etc before purchasing. i ignore brands more too, and just focus on construction. it’s amazing how some pieces that were originally expensive turn out to be crap.
Reminds me of Armani. Back in the day, i could walk in and see materials like imported Alpaca wool and cashmere. Now it's all polyester. I'm a polyester ho for my gym and hiking wear, but not for my nice clothes. Thank you for calling them out!! Edit: and no, I was not in Armani Exchange. I double checked after seeing those materials.
I didn’t even know channels like this existed until just now 😂 also, why do I just love a loose tissue-thin tshirt? Maybe it’s a sensory thjng, but I find it so comforting.
I'd love more long form content from you!!! A video explaining more about polyester and when it's okay in clothes and when to avoid it would be super helpful ❤
True.. I have been buying from alo for years on and off. A lot of their items have changed over time 😢Part of the reason I do make purchases is because I am a licensed yoga instructor, and they do give a discount if you can prove this. Otherwise, I think most of their items are extremely overpriced, and as you mentioned… So many items pill terribly! You are definitely paying for the name half the time. However, I really do enjoy their alo soft leggings, their yoga mats, and many of their sports bras… although I did recently purchase the muse bra and was incredibly disappointed. Thank you for your channel! New subscriber here! ❤
I am a thrift store worker and I knew brands around 7 years ago, but since I quit modern fashion, I have forgotten. I mostly price on quality and condition. I had no idea alo was a “good” brand. Don’t buy it unless you can find for five dollars used.
thank you for not putting your captions right under your username like a lot of ppl do to force ppl to subscribe so they can see the captions, i appreciate the accessibility
I got tha muse sweat set for Xmas and gotta say mine haven’t pilled and have held up extremely well since I’ve been practically living in them for a few months ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I got some joggers from alo 2 years ago, I love them so much and still wear them all the time so I wanted to pick up another pair. but the new ones pilled and are such bad quality! So watch out, the decent stuff of today might end up bad next season when they cut more corners. Now I don't trust the brand at all anymore.
I would love to see you review some of the REI products! It's a PNW based outdoor supply brand, but they have a lot of non-gear based clothing as well.
I only ordered from them one time and I’ve decided it’s not worth it I got - 2 sport bras - lemme just say that I get sport bras to hold things in place during movements and it did not do that job at all!!! - leggings - looked cute and they’re durable, but were so itchy and imagine sweating in them when they’re already itchy - hoodie - kinda cute but didn’t keep me warm at all, it was the velvet cropped hoodie and it feels like a style hoodie rather than a hoodie to keep me warm (and I don’t wears hoodies as a look often, so it’s sitting in my closet barely used) They didn’t pill but the material wasn’t natural and I was lenient because I just assumed all athletic clothes are made from synthetic fiber but I found better options at similar or cheaper prices, so I’m sticking to those from now on and not wasting any money on Alo. Like hollister has really good leggings made of 95% cotton and I prefer those for my workouts over alo, and they’re half the price.
I can get the same value at Walmart for $20. People are all about the name. Actually the Tshirts at Walmart are thicker and better quality than that for $20.
Can you please do a video on where we actually can shop for a somewhat reasonable price? Everything is bad quality now and I don’t know what to do :’-(
Love thrift shopping! I have noticed that some thrift stores will sell brands like SHEIN and fashion nova. Any advice about finding thrift stores that don’t carry these fast fashion brands?
All I have from them is a polyester blanket. I like it, it's lasted years, but you can get the same thing anywhere. I did have a button-up coat from them, but not for long enough to test the longevity. It felt decent and was warm enough for being a thinner coat.
I love a lot of their styles, but as a working class girly I mostly buy their stuff on sale/clearance. Most of the skirts and dresses have linings. Their cotton jumpsuits/rompers are fantastic loungewear. I would steer clear of their shiny polyester dresses. They are beautiful but wrinkle SO EASILY. Luckily they have a pretty good return policy. Also, beware of their online listings. They will list things as “wool pea coat” or “leather bag” but if you look at the composition it’ll be all synthetic. They justify it by saying it’s in the style of a pea coat or it’s “faux wool”
You should do some videos about the growing scandal of the new Major League Baseball uniforms by Nike and Fanatics. The MLB players all got new uniforms and the pants are so cheap that they are SEE THROUGH lol. If ever there was a crossover clothing line to roast for being cheap, this is it! I’ve been thinking of you with every update I read!
Do you have Marimekko near you? I have Marimekko wool jacket. It has been good now, for not everyday wear (the weather changes in Finland are very common in winter, one day -4, then -10 and suddenly -20). It was under 200 euros. Usually Marimekko has good quality clothes, but sadly the clothes are not made in Finland anymore. The style is very hmmm scandic and sometimes "aunt like" tho (minimalist, yet often loud big prints, loose style in fit). So the brand may not be everyones cup of tea.
I confirm that the airlift leggings will pill 😢
This comment made me laugh unintentionally lol. Sorry u had to go through that
They definitely do
I would love to know your thoughts on PopFlex!
same !! i wonder if they are worth it
Yes, we need this.
I’m planning on making an order soon and I’d actually love to know what Jen thinks of the products quality before then!! 💛💛

Can confirm!! I bought a pair from TJ Maxx almost 10 years ago and they're still in great condition, one of my go to's for the gym

Its actually retails for $77 aud so pretty close to lululemons
Mondetta is good. Really good quality and I can always find it at the thrift store.
@@busrayalavac Weird, it's 17 USD for a pair at Walmart over here.
It’s crazy how alo entered the market. To me it came outta no where. Came super fast and they have sooo many retail shops. But I’m so glad you’re educating everyone about how doodoo of a brand it is.
Maybe it's a rebrand, topshop/h&m situation. They'd already have manufacturing and retail in place.
thank you, i use your tips a lot while thrifting so i can find high quality pieces! you’ve convinced me to replace everything with natural fibers and to look at seams, buttons, etc before purchasing. i ignore brands more too, and just focus on construction. it’s amazing how some pieces that were originally expensive turn out to be crap.

Not sure nowadays clothes are getting thinner and thinner but more & more expensive
I didn’t even know channels like this existed until just now 😂 also, why do I just love a loose tissue-thin tshirt? Maybe it’s a sensory thjng, but I find it so comforting.
nothing wrong with that, it just shouldnt be priced like a normal shirt

would love to know all ur tips on how to thrift!! xoxox

Jenni, do you have any advice on how to spot if polyester is good quality or not? How much of a blend is typically ok in a garment? Thank you 🙏

I walked into Alo for the first time today and was shocked that people would pay for junk
Homeless man who's worn the same thing for the past season: oh for sure girl, thanks ^^
Love thrift shopping! I have noticed that some thrift stores will sell brands like SHEIN and fashion nova. Any advice about finding thrift stores that don’t carry these fast fashion brands?
Alo is incredibly diaappointing. So little colour. It is for beige people with beige lives and more money than sense.
I'd love to see u review brandy melvillle :0 everyone says they have good quality
Super ❤
Nice video❤
You are doing a great service❤️👀
Fantastic
All has some work pants/trousers that I really want but I can’t justify the price just yet. Would you suggest those?
Not sure if you’ve already done this, but I’m curious to know what you think about skims!
Best tights, Old Navy! And they have tall.
after washing my alo's leggings, it became super static-y and pilled; not worth the mkting hype. back to lululemon
Hi, I love your content! Can you review Brandy Melville
is pilling purely a visual downside or does it wear the fabric away gradually as well?
Cute 😍
Honestly, I stopped paying attention to where I get my clothes from after I aged out of Forever 21. Now I'm Forever at Goodwill.
can you do bershka please, these dont exist in my country and are too expensive
Nice ❤
What brands do you recommend for teens?
Hey! Would you recommend buying a Jacquemus bag? I heard that their quality is a little poor
Xx
You should also do gymshark 🥹
Can you review mate the label sweats?
Nice😊😊😊
their yoga mats are the best thing they sell
Have you done skims?
Have you done blogilates active wear? I'm curious to get your opinion. Is it worth the price?
I don’t know ANY of these brands but I love watching her rip them to shreds 😂😂😂
Where can I learn about materials??
Super
What is a good active wear brand? I'm in Australia 😊
Can you do a what makes something quality faux fur for the mob wife aesthetic?
Have you heard of Eric Bompard? Would love to hear your opinion.
I prefer my Alo pullover over lululemon oversize sweater.
Could you review Altar’d State? I don’t know what’s worth it for the price

are they in Canada? she reviews whats in Canada
I ❤ it

plz plz plz do popflex!!
Please do butter tna

We don’t sell them at garage😂
