- Amagi-Goe, which means going over Amagi Mountain Pass, is one of the most successful Japanese old fashioned songs called En-ka.

Sorry, but that's a shamisen.
For "Amagi goe", I think a shamisen is a much better choice than a biwa.

三味線じゃなくて琵琶ですね。結構こういうの好きだな。ほとんどの人が奇をてらっていると感じるかもしれないけれど、アジア圏のメタルバンドで伝統楽器や伝統歌謡をメタルと融合させ手いるのも多いし。音楽的趣向と素養の問題だけだろうけど。
相性とかあるけど
これだけ一流の方々が一堂に会して音楽を奏でたこと自体に大きな意味があると
僕は思う。

Wow. I read that comment and was watching out for him. He's Takeshi Kitano. He's a badasss movie director that has done a lot of yazuza films and so on. He was also in Battle Royale (Taratino's all time favourite film). He always looks like that. Tough guy demeanor 100 % of the time. I think he's probably enjoying it. Who knows. Cool detail though.

I just think that ....they do not match that well....they are like three different "voices" put together....I am starting to think that M Friedman being in Japan, just wants to play with everybody and in every type of music....I love instrumental M Friedman...but in this ocassion, I think the guitar was too distorted, acoustic would have been better I think. ミスマッチだろうがなんだろうがチャレンジ精神旺盛な一曲だと思う。
ましてやMartyの腕はピカイチだし、琵琶自体耳にする機会はほとんどない時代なのに、その琵琶をピックしたことは素晴らしい。
ただバックの音が石川さゆりよりも目立ってしまったから余計に不釣り合いに聴こえたような気がする。
石川さゆりじゃなく、こぶしばりばりでもっと声量のある歌手を選んだほうが良い気がする。

演奏自体は良いのかもしれないが、歌唱と伴奏のテンポが合ってないような気がする・・・
「歌唱と伴奏のテンポが合ってない」というのは表現の仕方が悪かったかもしれません。
技術的な話ではなく、この歌にこのテンポはマッチしていない気がするということです。ただ、気に入っている人も多いようなので、これはあくまでも主観的な話です。
ギターが歌を食いすぎ ビートを刻まないほうがよいのでは

Sometime I want to hear and see guitar playing like Marty's and Jason's styles and other times I like to immerse myself in Enka.
I don't want both at the same time.
Plus I think that it is an insult to the old formal and beautiful Japanese expression.
Let's keep the music separate.
