Hyojoo has changed my goals for myself in long boarding. I seriously did not conceive moves like hers. I feel compelled to try to move around on my deck after watching hers videos. For that I am thankful to her.
When I first saw her videos, I was really amazed by her moves and I really wanted to try longboarding as well ! Many years passed and I still haven't tried it but I still think about it. And it was so sweet of her brother to defend her ! I'm sure she is way happier now and wish her success :D

This video is a sign. After riding longboard for two years now and being aware of those dancing fairies from the beginning, yesterday a girl based in Europe where I live advertised her classes and I will take one of those. I can recommend longboard as means to get to work and general fun to everyone.
It's so chill to watch her do her thing, can't imagine how relaxing it is to actually be in the moment. Can totally see why quitting IT is a dream though...I look for a way out, daily.
Those "step 180's" she does remind me of the old school freestyle stuff that Rodney Mullen did. I think the only problem the interviewer had was trying to learn that many things in one day. Just learning to push while keeping balance can take a while. I'd also love to see Hyojoo out of her element on a shortboard, trying to learn an ollie or a drop-in.
I'm a UI/UX/Graphic/Web designer and it's extremely impressive she was working for Line. It's one of the new messaging companies that consistently and continually release big updates to their UI and functionality so I totally believe she had no time to rest. However, as a designer I'm kinda jealous! Haha. Glad she's pursuing her dream tho. I saw her videos went they went viral a little while ago and I was mesmerized.
