Awesome collection of Jim Beam bottles! Also once whiskey is taken out of its barrel and goes into the bottle it stops aging in terms of flavor and character, it tastes the same as when it was initially bottled however many years ago

The one yall drank from is a Beams 135 Month Old Yellow Rose Decanter bottle. It's from 1978. Empty it's worth about $35 - 60. Unopened, sealed, and with box its selling for about $10k and up.
Beetle kill wood, a result of the Nark Beetle, which we also deal with in PA and NY. We had close to 50 pines on the 1.5 acres there. All but 2 had to come down in the 10 years my wife, daughter, and family lived there. And yes/s, some if it was hauled to the Amish and made into planks for shelves, a few of which are here to in the new place in PA. On the Jim Beam bottle with the buck on it, I have 2, one green, one brown, from that set, with foxes on them, bought by my parents, for the fox collection, started when they for married. One is empty, the other still sealed, tonne opened by my wife and me, on our 50th anniversary, should we love that long (we were in our 30s, when we got married. Her first, my second, so we'll be in our 80s, if we make it that long.) Love the finished bar!
I used to work for Beams and as far as I know they still make the decanters. They can only be bought from the still house. I’ve never went up there to look and never seen one come down the line so I can’t confirm, that’s just what my supervisor told me.

My buddies mom had assorted old ceramic ezra bottles like that. Haha we found a fire place one and a musket handgun shaped one... we of course made bongs out of them.
Wow, my grandpa has that same bottle in his garage that’s been in the same spot for as long as I can remember and I’ve never seen another one until now. The one you showed about the conservation with the geese on it. I recognized it right away when you went to the bar. So crazy, great vidja. Keep it up outlaw
These old decanters are a pretty big thing to some bourbon folks. I would say since they are family heirlooms, don't be afraid to crack a sealed one and try it. The thing to do is save a newer empty bottle, use a funnel and a coffee filter, pour the old Beam through that into the new bottle. If the bottle was sealed and the liquor doesn't seem cloudy after you filter it, its perfectly good fantastic stuff!
