I pity the newbie medical students who were given Code Black as legitimate study material (3 universities with medical programs -- near me -- did so, last year) and nearly had their hearts broken. A couple of third-year medicine proper students I was acquainted with nearly broke down, before the blood transfusion episode.
I mean I think it puts the science into an analogical view, as it helps make more sense when learning about it all

I swear there's a version that is the exact same but the genders are swapped. That's the one in familiar with and why I was surprised when I saw this. I have no hate towards either versions but I didn't know there were different versions in general

Fun fact: bacterias are smaller than red blood cells and white blood cells are bigger than red blood cells and white blood cells eat and destroy bacterias. So basically the more accurate depiction is that bacterias would be gremlins and white blood cells are bigger and casually hunt and eat the bacteria. And whats even funnier is that viruses are much smaller than bacteria and harder to detect but nonetheless killable. I can see why they chose a more customized path instead of the accurate one 🤣

There’s actually something almost exactly like this with them gender swapped so if you wanna see a more wholesome with a lot less gore and more abt a clumsy wholesome red blood cell trying to find her way around the human body delivering O2 with a white blood cell she met some how always running into one another THERES one on Netflix and I highly recommend

As far as I remember, the original Cells at Work is no longer on Netflix. Its now on Crunchyroll, but it's behind a pay wall. I used to show my students the original when we talked about the human body.
