Lucky you Donald. Moved to Windsor Locks Ct in 1981, and began collecting data on the NH line. Would love to do an HO scale from NH, through Hartford, Windsor Locks, terminating in Springfield, with it's roundhouse...circa 1950s. Maybe when I retire...maybe.
@@donaldbartram6315 I like the idea of the round-house, and if EH was used, maybe I could scale down the display. Thanks for the tip Donald. Is your N scale still alive?
The foundation was still there back in the early 2000;s I use to deliver to SouthShore Wharehousing That was right behind it. Across the street was an A&P Whse that had RR sidings, I guess most of the business on that street had RR sidings back then.
I used to take the train out of New York in the mid 80’s to late 90’s and remember 2019 and others pulling the Danbury and Waterbury line trains out of grand central.
SD70ACeofspades My old man was ALL trains all day. Anyway he took a beautiful picture of the FL9 coming through High Rock State Forest during the fall. Beautiful picture that he entered into a calendar contest but didn’t get selected & he was bummed. He passed away suddenly years ago & we had the picture engraved on his headstone. I guess watching this made me think of that picture. Great video, thanks for your time.
It is a New Haven engine. Built for and run by. Originally 2049. Yes of you want to get technical it's owned by the Naugatuck, as mentioned and thanked in the video.
Grew up when that NH was running the rails past my house in West Haven Love seeing NH trains

There use to be a roundhouse in E Htfd off Park ave . I had a N scale layout of the New Haven to Bridgeport area. Mostly a switching layout.
I did the 60's before Penn Central takeover but also had some 59's green & orange equip. mixed in

I saw the NH 2019 when it was on the way to Spencer. It was south of the Deerfield yards in MA. (2014).
2019...how appropriate. (Now that it's 2019). Beautiful job on the resto. Thanks for sharing.
The number of the engine is 2019, they mean the year.
"New Haven was awesome to ride on in its hayday.
Great video!
Nice shots, nice video and nice engines! I would have crashed trying to get this video! LOL!
Thanks Christopher!
I was drifting all over, but luckily it was a dead end road at the end.

There's actually a p32ac pm with the new haven paint design
Thank you! Sorry I havnt been on here in awhile. I plan on doing more once I acquire an "arial camera" lol
How fast were you going at the 7:00 mark when chasing the engine?. Thanks. Looks like a good time.
sardu55 if I remember correctly around 50. The track speed is about 50 through that area
2:20 This reminds me of the movie Runaway Train 1998
The poor gp50 lead,g the first train has a clogged up horn :(
So beautiful, but have never heard of Pan Am railroad...Related to the airline?
That's a good question LOL I'm not sure if there is any connection
It’s the former guiltfort rail, ex b and m and Maine central lines
No.
Consider yourself lucky not hearing of so called pan am
Why if Felix the cat in that blue freight car
Elijah Trofort what?
Is that Pan Am an ex New Haven????
No, originally Canadian National, then VIA, then Conway Scenic, then PAR.
Just got to ask, Why being towed and not under their own power??
This looks like the movie Runaway Train 1998
Ouch 0:56 worst horn I ever heard! Wtf is wrong with it
That horn is ill
Haha yes I remember you could hear it for miles before it came into view
Not necessarily new haven
