Fun fact: In cullinary school, my tita told me that u actually dont add oil to the pasta when boiling it. If the pasta is covered in the oil, it won't absorb the sauce that much. But i think we add oil because of the following reasons: 1. To prevent the pasta from sticking. 2. To add flavor (eg. olive oil, sesame, etc.) 3. To not absorb to much sauce preventing the pasta to become very mushy. Therefore, the spaghetti still has some firmness after a few days, 2-3 days to be specific. Btw: You did great Erwan, the spaghetti looks delish.

This is what I would always cook whenever I feel lazy and just want to be home with my kids. Walang alisan ng bahay to. Breakfast, lunch and dinner na! My recipe has banana ketchup and celery though.
Its because they give so much value to their culture and how their grandmother and ancestors do it. It's like deep frying a Japanese sushi for them(excuse me americans). For them its like putting red wine or a mirepoix base in our adobo. Or maybe adding cream cheese in sinigang. It will just turn out a bastardized version of their cuisine. They are descendants of the Roman empire and they really preserve the right ingredients of how it's cooked.

I use both evaporated and condensed milk. It adds that more pronounced sweetness
My mom does that too! And i love it

Italian food is overrated. They bully you into saying their food is the best. I love this spaghetti. My wifes family makes this all the time. So good!
