I was a little lukewarm about this album when it first came out, but over the years it grew to become one of my favorite Rush albums. For the tour that supported this album, and most of the subsequent ones, the rap was performed by a CGI skeleton projected on a screen behind the band
This was the first Rush album I listened to - it came out when I was 15 and I fell in love with it. It is the reason I dove into their older catalogue and became such a huge fan! From this album, I would recommend "Heresy" and "Bravado" - two somewhat slower songs, but with lyrics that stir the heart and make you think!
"Roll the bones." My tribe has what we call "Bone Dice." They're dice made out of bones and you put them in the wooden bowl, shake the bowl as if you are flipping a pancake. However the dice lands depends what your score is. There is a bear shaped dice snd if it's standing up, that gets you the most points for that round. Everyone brings their pennies to "bet" with. Just put it all in the middle of the table and whoever wins gets all the pennies on the table. That's how they did it in the old days and its still done the same way today. 😃 My ko-ko (grandma) taught me to play when I was a kid. Makes me happy to be reminded of that memory! 🥰🥰🥰
Nice to see you doing some more Rush again. Yes, Rush can basically do almost every genre. I am requesting Rush Secret Touch from the Snakes and Arrows tour Cheers and have a good one!
Yeah, this may be one of my favorite songs of all time just because of the subject matter, serious existential shit...like you said, "Life's a gamble." You might win, you might lose...hell, you might die tomorrow, but just getting out of bed every day is one more roll of the dice...so why not?...Roll the bones!...In casino terms, I'd rather keep rollin' than crap out...
♥♥♥ Maybe check out NEIL PEART Buddy Rich HONOR????? or TOP FUEL???!!!!!!!!! :) Surprises awaits!! :) ♥AND, or... Victor Wooten bass music????????? :) LOVE TOP FUEL ALWAYS!!! “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” ~ Romans 15:13
Nah, corny bars. But better than 40-year-old white Canadians should have and they've aged better than plenty of the pre-gangsta-rap stuff from the early 90's.
One of my favorite Rush songs, despite people hating on this album!

The most prolific lyrics from Rush ... Why does it happen? Because it happens ❤

Have you ever heard bravado or Dreamline? 2 Rush bangers from this era

Rush did rap ONCE and did it better than 99% of other rapper over their entire career.

@@HollowGolem i guess I liked it better because they were able to enunciate the words.
I like your style!
Well Skeeeez...if you're back like car seats...well, discard Doug-Eee-Fresh & stikk wid Rush, Holmes...because you know "you'll be 'back"!
