I'm 23, and I haven't learned anything in school because I was bullied a lot, and my parents had a problem with alcohol. I never had any friends and never had a positive relationship with anyone. I didn't get much support and motivation, I just played video games all day and barely finished school with the lowest possible mark. I don't know anything about this world, and I'm learning the basics now. Thank you for your work and dedication 🙏. You are saving a lot of people with these videos! ❤
i’m 15 and i’ve missed out on so much school due to mental health and personal reasons, math was always a subject i struggled with. division, fractions, and percentages always kick my ass. thanks for this man

18 here, and it was rough learning math when I was young. At first, I had passion for the arts and crafts, then had a huge turn out with my life and decided to get into math because I want to do some inventing in my life.
Repetition is the mother of all learning. Always practice and dedicate yourself to it!

I am very glad to have found your channel, because others try to make things overly flashy and "fun" which makes it hard to stick around without cringing too hard to focus, vice versa it's not so boring that it leaves my mind wandering away from the topic. Hey guys, I'm a student at Harvard majoring in mathematics, I'm taking the hardest class in the U.S., math 55, as well as 9 other math classes this semester, 7 of them on my own time. I have about 50 hours of math homework a week, and so far I have 100% in all classes, and I plan on finishing that way. My favorite math class I am taking is AP Honors Advanced Multivariable-Physics-Based Calculus VII, but it's honestly really easy. Anyways, I came to this video because I am seeking help on my math, and it really helped, especially the first bit! Thanks!

I am so screwed. My parents took me out of school when I was really young and I missed probably a whole decade of basic stuff like this. I feel incredibly slow and it makes me so disappointed in myself. There's no way I'll ever be able to catch up since I'm already 22. Hope no one makes this same mistake...
Khan Academy can be really useful! I had something like that happen with me (homeschooled since 4th grade) and Khan was basically my teacher. It's never too late to catch up

Dawgg I am in 9th grade and probably the most slowest person in class when it comes to math. I was a student with well marks until the lock down, and I am trying to improve my math I basically skipped 5th and 6th so 7th 8th were kinda hard for me and now 9th and the new textbooks are even more harder I regret not studying those 2 years but Les goo I hope I can improve 😭

due to depression and lack of care, i lost a lot of my knowledge and. it's been pretty scary honestly, considering I'm still young. yet i know absolutely nothing, except things about my hobbies. thank you for making this video, it's embarrassing but i forgot most of my basic math. along with tons of other basic things, this really helps.
4:35 the trick I was taught to remember how to subtract a negative in problems like 6 - (-3), was that the minus signs and the parenthesis kinda form a big plus symbol. Simple but that will forever be ingrained in my brain

I'm 41 yo. After a bad accident I am still recovering and looking for a job and a way to survive. I apply for a government one-stop career center where they help unemployed basically. A Woman called me yesterday and set up an appointment for a math test..... And I am looking to have my CDL.... I just paralyzed by the phone... She set a basic math test in one week, and then I remember my high school time my city in Brazil was having problems, I don't remember well, but we didn't have Math Chemistry and Physics for three years. The school was passing us for the next year giving the grades enough to pass. That was horrible for me and my high school friends.
After years I have never need those basics. At 4:32 I started realizing that I really don't know the basics in math. At 4:32 I would fail the exam question. I know is pathetic but I am listening carefully and I hope I pass this test and finally get some job.

this really help me A LOT, since im 15 and from indonesia and im planing to study abroad i really need to know basic english math and the last time i learn math in english is when i was in elementary and i was barely surviving basic math and worse if its in english so this really help me with the basic, since i already use english in my basic life :'D

I find my basic math skills definitely needed to be refreshed and refined as I was sorely lacking, and I need to prepare for my ASVAB, I also need to refresh on Algebra 1 and 2, but anyways your video has been really helpful, thank you!

MR. Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank you an awesome video/lecture on Basic Math Review in Algebra/Algebra One. This topic is used every day on planet earth. For the final example, you can also multiply $1.07 times $299 to get the $319.93 for the Laptop Computer.
Pretty easy to follow... doing the problems on the board (vs using the calculator) helps even more.

Pppft never learned the multiplication table myself except for 5 and 10 because almost everything can be derived from them. whats 9 times 8? 10 times 8= 80 then -8 = 72. Same general thing goes for things close to 5 and stuff below is often very easy.
