- Indian food has often been associated with stiff restaurants, all-you-can-eat buffets and heavily spiced, cream-based dishes. The Mahendro family (Anu, Pawan, Nakul and Arjun) immigrated to Los Angeles and found that they didn’t recognize any of the so-called Indian food available to them. Like carefully selected spices to a classic Indian dish, each family member contributes something special and significant to their restaurant Badmaash and to the city of LA. Featured in the episode: Downtown LA’s Badmaash.

Beautiful video. Nice family. Badmaash seems like a seriously fun vibe. Can relate so much.
Ever Since I first heard about Badmaash on Munchies and I been a fan. They are so humbling and and loving family. Im going to LA this summer for the first time and this is the first place im going.
Update I went to Badmaash and I don’t regret ever going. I still to this day hit up Nakul and we keep in touch. Like I said I never met such a humbling family. When I was there we talked for a while and became really great friends. Even my girlfriend went for the first time yesterday and he was there just being an amazing host. We even FaceTimed and just caught up. This family has struggled and I’m glad to see them grow so much. Really are my hero’s.
