This song actually made a girl to come up to the DJ-booth and kiss me, when I played this back in 1996. She later managed to sneak into the booth and steal it. True story! xD
At last!! I used to have a tape mixed by a friend back in 96. I somehow lost the tape a year or two later. I never had a track list. But a memory of an awesome tune that was the second tune on the tape. For years I hoped to stumble on this tune but never did, until today!!! And this is it!!! It sounds slightly different to what is in my memory. But there's key moments that let me know this is defo it. I guess a 15 year or so memory will distort a bit. FINALLY found the one that got away!!!
I know what you mean. They used to play Mr. Fingers' "What About This Love" (dub mix) on NY's late night Master Mixes in '89 and '90. I could never get a name. The one time I was able to try and record it, my tape deck took a dump. In 2015, I hit the Internet for the hundredth time and cruised the WBLS recordings from that era, recently posted on YT. Bingo. I couldn't get that mp3, as well as the original track, fast enough.
Ik weet het niet maar Erik Kupper is volgens mij ondergewaardeerd en dit nummer helemaal. Planet K is en van die nummers die ik steeds weer niet kan vinden op Spotify en Last.fm en waar ik speciaal voor naar youtube ga.
Some stands of house music from that era (1994 to 1996) and locale, took a turn towards the 'tribal/dreamy' state - it was great music but did not last too long.
@@cristianistor by the mid 90s most italian house producers had started making shit prog/trance. the early 90s sound was all pianos and lush jazzy minor 7th chords played on pads, quite a lot of larry heard influence. laidback but melancholic it's well-characterised by the ambient house compilation on DFC, and the output of vibraphone records/artists like don carlos. mid 90s garage house im thinking of as a new york centred sound that was even more heavily swung, bumping and percussive compared to the early 90s - kenlou's the bounce, or mike delgado's the murder track are good examples of what i mean. again by the late 90s 'garage house' in this way didn't really exist as it became a much less dominant style overall, with the genre splintering in different directions - sample-heavy disco house, hard house, tech-house, and i guess uk garage, which replaced the 4x4 beat with the off-kilter 2-step drum sound. apart from a few masters like kerri chandler, what did survive of the sound in my opinion was a much cheesier reflection of the earlier sound that was way too influenced by shite prog/big beat (junior vasquez's late 90s sound for example)
way to show how it's a spiritual thing, a body thing and a soul thing. House music that is! And of course those who worships new wave jokes like solomun etc. can't get that ;)

Yes ! With Tribal music label, that was excellents tracks available on cds too !, ( remember looking for the records with the totem tribal stamp on cds and vinyls in Paris la FNAC records shop ) It was great

@@WVUDrummergirl Nice one mate!
@@Chewy0424 House music can be notoriously hard to find, particularly the mixes. Why must we be so eclectic? lol.
@@WVUDrummergirl Yeah. Pain in the arse when you hear a tune and cannot find it again...
Yes .. on a tape from '96. Luckily I knew who to ask.
Also on my tape: "Yellow Socks - Flim Flam", "George Morel - Let's Groove", "Eddie Russ - Zaius"
It was 1995 ~ A hot summer's night in New York City and Frankie Knuckles dropped this on an acetate ..... SwoOSH and boOM !
Eric Kupper has produced so many good house tracks. This one is his best.

First time hearing it here in 2019. Love it.
oh my godness!!!!!! 2020 in here
kind of a mid 90s garage take on the early 90s ethereal italian house sound. pretty much my dream music.
✌esatto!..questo disco lo ricordo al "Club dei 99".."VaeVictis"..."Movida Jesolo"....semza tempo♡
Can you pin-point the differences between mid 90s and late 90s garage and also between early 90s and mid 90s italian house, please?

@@cristianistor should have shouted out eddie perez and smack music for the mid-90s garage thing as well, nobody did it better imho
