I’m born in 2001, always been interested in many genres of music that makes me feel alive, that do something to my heart, and guys… this is fucking incredible. We the new generation with a selective ear are sad of not finding good parties with good old tracks like this… Cause listening to music is so good, but to share it is also part of the joy… ahhhhhh nevermind, this track is pure gold If you have recommandation of classic like this don’t hesitate to comment… thank you and have a GOOD DAY 🫶🏻💗✨
Also born 2001 and i wish people today would start to at least educate themselves a little bit about these times back then with all the tunes like this one right here...
Just turned 18 last month and love good music like this! If you want some heat: Put Your Back Into It - Peven Everett I'm Doin' Fine - Amp Fiddler You Don't Even Know Me - Armand Van Helden
Absolutely...I was a Club Zanzibar head where the legendary Tony Humphries was the DJ when I lives in Newark, NJ. The dancing I did my goodness. House Music takes you to another dimension. And that's still my choice of music!!! #GetExcited
So happy that this popped up in my suggestions because he was my neighbor in Atlanta many moons ago. What a wonderful spirit and I was so blessed to hear him sing almost every night. Those were the "Good Times " of our lives because we were so broke "scratching and surviving", but we still made the best out of our day without hurting anybody or anything, plus stayed far away from drama. Back in the days when people looked out for each other. Don't get it twisted there were dirty evil people back then....just a little less of them. 😉 Celebrate each other's differences!🤎💯
Getting up at 4am, leaving your house by 5am, and arriving at Club Shelter (whether 39th St. or Varick St.; never experienced Hubert St.) around 6am just before daybreak just so you can allow Timmy to take you on a journey till 2pm. Those octopus arms and restless souls will never be forgotten. House music forever!!! Still seeking analog energy in a digital world.... ❤️
Ahhhhh the joys of that Big Room on the floor, I also remember the only night the first floor was more packed then the second floor. That was the night the Martinez Brothers did their first gig I believe. That place brings back oh so many great memories.
A masterpiece that is timeless. I’m 42 and been pumping this track for nearly 2 decades now! Every time I play it, it sounds better than the last. Magnificent 🙌🏽🫶🏽
That jazz mid section 😘. The keys... Housing it up.... We're housing it up....👆...This is high vibe happy clapping music. You dance with friendly people just getting high on this vibe in clubs - no drugs! The music 'is'. Good feeling Energy. All these years never fails 👏
I'm from Newark/East Orange and worked in Orange for many years as well, the owner of J&A is a big house head and DJ Rauf played this track every Saturday 🤩🕺🏾
Louie Vega spinning this at Sound Factory Bar or Shelter on Hubert was absolutely a spiritual experience, house music pumps in my blood like a car uses oil 🕺🏾🤩☯️☮️🕉️
This track is awesome! Has a great start which then follows by excellent vocals. Builds up.nicely then hits you with a great piano solo, back to vocals then builds again to a great finish with excellent chords! This is what I like to call a golden house track. Quality!
Funny I have a van I drive for work that has a CD player. I pulled out some old cds. One is a house mix tape. This song came on and made my day. I forgot all about it
Wow, this is unreal! I've never heard this and I've bouncing since the start of the 90s, back when there was a record store and a Sam the Man Burns!!! Love Ya'll.
Any song that can causes one to self reflect is a song worth listening to. When it rains it pours. When we shed tears, it doesn't always mean that we are sad!! What a happy song this is😂😂😂
I've found my long lost tune, that I had never stopped searching for it as it has always been stuck in my head for about 10yrs now, lol its so uplifting, always make me emotional and then happy, as this tune is me, thanks, Donnie got you now forever from today
During Racism20 Protests in NYC, I am so happy/nappy to be Black and Proud and living conscious on Cloud 9.. Praying for Peace and Equality. Timmy worked this song well every time!!
I have been searching till August 2018 and found it.....I used to listen to this song back in my varsity days around 2005 and back. Swaziland checking in...
I've had another mix of that on a MAW compilation, more of a dub version. First time I heard this the other day, I well and truly an not getting any more hellos from my neighbours. An absolute tune. House like this will never be out of date. If you have been listening to House since the 80s like me, then you get me.
This one is sooo emotional and the first time i ever heard a Quentin Harris production back in 2003 (bigup the legendary house producer Booker T for letting me know about it!!). Thought it was made back in 95' as it has that classic House sound in it from that era.
This is a classic House track that was not played at commercial clubs. I would guess that the rhythm, keys, percussion and skat was too complicated for those kids. "Rocketship" by the same artist was also lovely.
This brings back old memories when my dad used to play this song in the car when he was coming home from work back in 2012. i have to admit i started dancing
Schöner Mix von Quentin Harris und Donnie mit Cloud 9 ---so zieht sich eine heiße Nacht auf der Shelter -Tanzfläche an man vergisst die Zeit und der Morgen ist da Wunderbar ha ha ha:)
Him & my brother went to Science High School in Newark together, he used to be at my house all the time when I was a kid, lived around the corner from us on Weequahic avenue
this is the type of song to listen to at 10pm or 5am to let it hit different. you could listen to it anytime but house music would be my way to cool down after a long day. I listen to this everyday to put me in a good nostalgic feeling. even tho its almost the end of 2020, this track will still and forever be my favorite track
ON MY WAY TO WORK MONDAYS MORNINGS ABOUT 10 YEARS AGO LISTENING TO PASSION FM RADIO I WOULD HERE THIS SONG IT ANTHEM OF PASSION FM WHAT A RARE SONG OF FANTASTIC DONNIE CLOUD MUSIC 9 WHAT A TUNE.

Really glad that there are even a few ppl of the new generation that can appreciate the soul and power of house music. 🙏🏼
Stone cold classic. Worthy of many more fans, but unfortunately it's not on Spotify, and most people don't look beyond that 🙁
Also born 2001 and i wish people today would start to at least educate themselves a little bit about these times back then with all the tunes like this one right here...
