I have the same pressure point, 4-5 sessions in full summer heat did the trick on my last ones. Now breaking in a new pair. The pain, cursing and wining is worth it in the end 😎
Awesome to see you actually enjoying these now :) best looking skate on the market Adapt should do more to get their name out there like this, coz its not like you can just go on loco or visit your local skate shop to buy a pair. Massive shout out to Adapt for sending them out for you to review
I did not think I was gonna ever fully enjoy skating these so this session was so hype. I completely agree! The review i end up making on these skates will be one of my most important videos 😅 Thanks again MoMo
Glad you are starting to gel with them, best skates on the market without a doubt! The downsizing is such a huge benefit, although it's more actually getting a size that fits your foot rather than a plastic shell that is often too big/small!
I see a couple of comments that Brandon is trying really hard to make the Adapts look good - I would suggest he is bending over backwards to be fair and professional. It would have been very easy for Brandon to have simply written the skates off after the first session - but instead he persevered to the point where he can give a balanced review. I would note that there is a SIGNIFICANT difference between an unprompted review and a review given in a 'professional' capacity - in the latter instance, the reviewer has to take every measure possible in order to get the product to perform, not only out of respect to the supplier, but also to reflect true due diligence per people potentially coming back at him and saying 'But did you X?', or 'Why didn't you Y?'. You may, of course, ask if it is really encumbant on a reviewer to bend over backwards, and I would respond that it is product dependent. To that end, where the product is being presented as a PERFORMANCE, HIGH-END product, and there are multiple points of positive commentary out there the default position should be to test to the point where you can definitively provide actual reasons for you position instead of reverting to 'Nah Bro, they were shit'.
Someone must have messed up on the custom sizing somewhere because when I got mine they were the comfiest skates I ever wore and remained that way, the interior padding has only thinned a little bit and never got pressure points. You should not have had to heat mold them especially that many times or put anything in them. Glad you got them to feel better though, nice video! ✌️
Cheers for watching Jacob. I've been hearing a lot of people saying the same as you but just as much saying they had to really heat mold them to get them to work. I'm guessing it's all down to the shape of your foot. I agree though a skate shouldn't need this much effort put in to get them to a skatable fit.
@@BrandonDrummond yeah I don’t think it should have took that much effort. Everyone’s foot is different though like you said with the shape of feet too, not just about length. As long as they feel okay in the end though right haha
I was looking forward to this video so much. I'm looking at pulling the trigger on a pair. This puts me at ease on that decision. A faction vs adapt review is in order.
Great vid man, got a few beers in and ordered a pair of customs last night so good to see the break in is pretty quick. Did you say if you had the carbon fiber or diolene?
Back to blading said he ordered 1/2 size smaller than usual and has had great feedback. Wonder why yours were so much tighter? How has the length inside been?
I'm skating the size Adapt chose for me after measuring my feet. I think I'm just one of the unlucky bunch that have to put the work into these skates. The length is still tight right now but it's getting better every session.
i don't find the combination of the adapt soul and frame together to be the best sliding option available. i found that having either an injection molded or 3d printed frame wall in combination with the soul, or an injection molded soul with the symetric frame to slide the best. something about the coefficient of friction being the same with the soul and frame seems to make it stick more on soul plate grinds for me.
Take out the footbed and compare it to your foot. If it is smaller than your foot, they messed up your sizing. That’s what Adapt says in their TH-cam videos.
my adapts are really nice but unfortunately they hurt after a short period of time. maybe my technique is off but i dont have trouble with my seba trix 2s!
Are you saying that the insanely tight toe box finally stretched a bit. My toe is crammed into the top toe box. Feels like I may not be able to skate these 😢
Super annoying, I just recently after 10 or more sessions I developed a preasure point on my left ankle that is so bad, that it now even hurts skating my other skates... guess I'll also have to heatmold the left one, yet I've only heatmolded the right ones
You downsized to a 7?!? Dude I ride 7-8s usually. What size adapt would I skate? 5/6?!? 4? Do they even make ‘em that small??? Lol great video Brandon. Glad to see those skates are starting to work with you a bit 🤘🏽
So they have a process for measuring your feet in mm and they then reccomend the size from there - listen to their reccommendation. I didn't want to size down as much as they said and I wish I did.
Cheers for watching man! Keeping killing it on IG! From what Killbot commented it seems there sizing is different to other skates where an Adapt US7 is more like a USD 8. Adapt gets pictures of your feet and gives you a size recommendation. I think most people usually end up going down 1- 1.5 sizes. The skate is made to be the exact same size as your foot, not buffer at your toes. We'll see if in the long term its worth all the work to get them comfortable 😅

Thanks for the honest and interesting review! I have had some Adapt GTO boots for 18 months, so comfy and I didn’t even hear mold them!
I keep hear people say this or the complete opposite. I'm very jealous they fit you right away. Thanks for watching!

I knew you would fall in love with those skates and 2 Some of your clips were the most buttery that I've seen Cheers buddy keep up the good work!
A note on the sizing. My Adapts are listed as EU40 and are 265mm. My carbon EU40 is 258mm and 41 is 266mm. So Adapt is already sizing you down one.
Very important point. Cheers for commenting killbot #modsplzbanthisguy
Happy to hear they're feeling a ton better!

10/10 comment. You're a very articulate writer 👏😁
I tried a pair on a couple years ago.
I’m a us 12 in most skates. And I put on us 11 and it was comfy and had wiggle room still.

I didn't expect there to be so many negative comments about Adoopts. Great review B, good to hear the bad and the good with no bullshittery

Enjoyed the music - chill af.

I prefer my Factions over the Adapts a whole lot
Not Tim here checking in, sickkkk ordering mine at end of month
Cheers Tim! I hope yours fit well out the box nicely! Thanks for watching

Best wrist guards on the market? Most comfortable?
Getting back into skating after a long time and not getting any younger

Yeah man, I was worried as fuck, first sesh i couldn't make 45 mins. Now they are so comfortable! I can wear them all day now.
man they remind me of old Deshi's with USD throne soulplates on

Wish you'd give the carbons a second shot like this.
First like it and then watch the video

love the editing and music in this one~ cant get over how ugly the look down is on these skates
I'll never unsee a message I got on IG saying they look like a foot cast from the top down 😅Thanks for watching man
Not even worth it in my book. Do you though bruv.
He should really be certain to disclaimer that these were given for free because it looks like he's trying really hard to make these skates look good
I guess I have the unpopular opinion that these skates look awful. It just goes to show that people have different tastes.
Why would anybody actually pay for these skates?
Not for me these Skates ! 🤷
