We take a fairly gentle stroll to the village of Corfe, where we have a Cream tea in the Ye olde tearooms before wailking around the castle and village.
Videography with a Sony AX53 Camcorder or GoPro Hero 8 Black
Filmed during our June 2024 caravan holiday

The ruins of Corfe castle tower over the village of Corfe, during the English civil war it was a royalist stronghold, it was besieged twice in 1643 and again in 1646, and is now owned by the national trust.

Hi Bill hope you're well and thanks for commenting. We walked it once in the other direction as we miscalculated how long our meal would talk at the local pub. Definitely some great views from the castle, and as you say a very British village.
Best wishes stay safe Jon and Karen

Hi Jon hope you’re both well. Great video and looks a really pleasant walk. I think I need to add a cooked breakfast and afternoon tea to my days out. regards David 📷👍😀

Hi David hope you're well & thanks for commenting. It's a really nice walk and takes about 30 minuite to walk fro m the caravan site, strangely enough longer on the way back after visiting the pub. I think a cooked breakfast is a must before a day out photography/vidiography and an afternoon tea, well it'd be rude not too.

Hi Phil hope your well and thanks for commenting. The afternoon was great we alway treat ourself to one when visiting Corfe, total agree jam first, it the only way. I been try a few different things when making videos, try some B-roll,a youtuber i follow keithguppy is a master of it, i think it adds more to the story so to speak.

Hi Jon. I wish we’d gone back this year. We became members and could have got in this time! Jam first!!! Otherwise, it sinks into the cream.
Loved the shot of the train. Looks like a model railway. So much to video there.
I’m soon off to Florida and maybe a hurricane. I’ll video it if it happens. Flying to Miami and driving south to Key Largo. Still fretting about what camera to take! Probably the Action, because it’s tiny.

@@iancraig Hi Ian hope you're well and thanks for your kind comment. Corfe castle and village are definitely worth a visit. There are great views from the castle and photo opportunities, there is a peregrine falcon nesting there, tried videoing it but couldn't hold the camcorder steady at maximum zoom. The village is worth a walk around, there's a couple of nice pubs worth a visit and you can always catch a steam train to Swanage. Have a great time in the States looking forward to watching some video, probably an action cam is the best choice.
Best wishes stay safe Jon and Karen.
      Definitely Jam First

Hi Jon, hope you are both well…….OMG some epic B-Roll!!! I love it 😊 loved the vlog and great shots of the train too. Can’t say I’ve been in that area before but it looks like a lovely little spot, with the church and building, nice to see sometimes rather than a load of modern architecture everywhere

Hi Keith hope your well and thanks for your kind comment. I'm getting better at epic B-roll but i still need practice, i find it hard to figure out the best place to put the GoPro. The more video I do the more it interests me and the more i want to do. Corfe is a little gem with great things to photograph, there's a couple of pubs serving local ale and good food. I was rather luck with train we were looking in the wrong direction, if the people next to us had said "there it is" i would have miss it.
Best wishes stay safe Jon & Karen

I’m going to do a little video for Facebook that might help. Just little tips I don’t use enough but would take your b-roll to the even more epic level lol

@@shawnheppenstall3258 Hi Shawn hope you're well and thanks for commenting. I'd definitely recommend stopping at corfe castle to have a look around, also some great photo opportunities, but it always seems to be busy whatever time of year.

Hey Jon. Hope you both are well. Nice touch of b-roll there. you're getting the hang of it now. Love the walk to Corfe from mine, do it often with Chloe. Cream or jam first? Devon or Cornwall style? I can settle this one. I cut the scone in half and do one Jam first, then one cream first. 😂 stay safe.

@@StephenJoines Hi Steve hope you're well and thanks for commenting, couldn't do b roll where I come from, someone would nick off with the gopro. I thought I'd try a bit more videoing this year, as I want to practice with the camcorder. Definitely a nice walk from the site and a thirsty one too good job we walk past a pub. Never thought of doing half and half, I'll try that next time.
Best wishes stay safe Jon and Karen
