    Slide them tandems all the way forward before you go in the city to tighten that radius up. It’ll help you quite a bit. Be safe

    If, a broker opens his mouth, the are lying. Many of the are charging a "Fuel" surcharge to the shipper and giving a fraction to a driver.

    I just delivered right into downtown houston with the exact truck you have xl classic and had to blindside back (1 way road) Into one of those docks where its inside a building and once the trailer is under the shade, you cant see anything in the mirrors, not that saw anything thru my mirrors amyway due to blindsiding the shit but it was done without hitting anything

    Whew tight ass turns. City driving was so much simpler in the mid 90’s, all the mega carries were 99% cabovers… good times.

    How much is diesel in your area? I was in pa the other day. It's 6.35/gallon. Granted, Pa has the highest gas tax, but still!

    AK you gotta be careful in the downtown ares. You don't want to end up on Bone Head Truckers. I've delivered down there a few times. Tighter then I thought. I do deliver a lot in the north east.

    One of the first rules in trucking, never trust a broker. They don’t ever take a loss to get you a decent rate. They make the money and the truck takes the loss. Enjoy the videos though AK.

  • @18_wheeler97
    @18_wheeler97 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    AK I've got the money to sit. But I don't. Still making ok money. I think we might see a lot of new truckers who paid 100k + for a Cascadia with 475k miles go out of business by the end of this year.

    • @scottberry5266
      @scottberry5266 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, not really. If you look on a load board they have a posted rate and a bid rate option. They just all started posting the rate low. You got to bid it up.

    Good video " looks like you loaded on service rd, using that long reach fork lift, I wonder if there's was Jacksonville Florida, similar looking that's was the place I did being befored Jacksonville Florida,
    Remind me back in 2002 few months after 911 in NY, I was unloaded at babylon long Island new york" on my way back trying to cross to Verosanno bridge NYC 🌉 to Newark new jersey, but I ended up accidentally taking the exit to lower Manhattan and causing the chaotic, among the city's traffic was all being jamming behind me, with 32 ft, Xl classic freightliner 2001 model with 53 ft trailer, people a furious, luckily the foot copper 👮‍♂️ helps me to' second avenue to the third avenue, to the main street to take me all the way to GEORGE WASHINGTON BRIDGE, to carry-on to Newark NJ, but the most amazing thing " I was exhausted ! but was no trauma not a single bruises both the trailer and the prime mover (tractor) or any damage on any property, despite was so tight, and the people a continue honking up showing their frustration could be honestly 🤔,
    The good moral out of this story, just keep your composer and considerate of what you doing, while people pressuring you, that can easily lose your cool 😎.....continue Trucking bro, if truck stops, the whole country stops, and the entire world definitely stops.....
