Your recipe calls for 9 cups of cheese at (8 oz) each cup. We did this. We added 6 cups of cheese 8 ounces each for the sauce. This means we added 48 ounces of cheese to the sauce. We then added 24 ounces of cheese (3 cups 8 ounces each) to top it. this led led to a super oily Mac and Cheese dish.. A cup is 8oz. Did you mean to say 9 cups at 4 ounces each? Does a cup = 4 ounces?..... Update-- okay we did not pour half of the macaroni in baking dish then add 1/2 of the 3 cups of cheese, and then pour the remaining 1/2 of the sauced macaroni in and add the remaining cheese. We poured all of the sauced macaroni in the baking dish and added the 3 cups of cheese on top. Could this have cause the oily problem?
This recipe takes a lot of cheese so whether 1cup=4 oz or 8 oz or u put 3 cup cheese on top or not its gonna be super oily anyways because of the amount of cheese it takes 😅

All I can say is WOW! I never knew a mac and cheese could be so good. I'll bet you have a lot of add in ingredients that would kick this into another world, but are saving those for future episodes. You're the best! 🎉
Slightly different steps than mine; but, yours looks a little easier. Trying yours next time. Note: I add porcini mushrooms and minced serranos to mine. And try different cheeses - gouda and/or gruyere work wonderfully!

Wait so exactly how much of the shredded cheese do we put into the heated pot to mix, and exactly how much of the cheese do we leave just for sprinkling on top?
I made this today and I 😁 it. I made a few changes to the recipe though for my preference. I used mild cheddar, white American and Velveeta cheese as my cheeses. I'm not a fan of sharp cheddar. White American is creamier and smoother than sharp cheddar. Also I used 1/4 tsp of pepper instead of 1 tsp of pepper. If you like your Mac and cheese smooth and creamy, then try this. ☺️
What do I need to do to reheat this? It was such a large reciper and I have so much left over. I have tried the microwave and it was an oily mess. I tried the oven at 350 degrees with a lil milk added and again..a greasy mess. It was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING the evening of cooking it fresh but i cannot seem to bring it back to life at all :(

Is the 1 tbs of salt for the boiling salt water or did you add that to the bowl of spice? I’m a little confused on that part.

Thats a great base for mac, but adding some other cheeses, minced onions, chilli paste can really kick it up a few notches.
