So etwas ähnliches habe ich mal vor Jahren mit 16mm gemacht. Ich klebte ebenfalls Starbänder und mehrfarbige Aktmarkierungen zusammen und am Ende dann noch einen Trailer vom ersten Indiana-Jones Film. Der Titel meines Machwerks lautete dann auch "Trailer". Das geschah im Rahmen eines Schulprojekts. Jeder sollte bis zum nächsten Tag einen Film auf 16mm machen. und ich entschied mich für die Variante Experimentalfilm. Ich bekam die Note drei dafür und war damit auch zufrieden.

I wonder why image sequences appear for a split-second during the countdown.

That is used by whoever develops the film to check if colors are ok after printing the reel (including skin tones). These are usually called "China girls".
