I have both, and much prefer Harry's. For me, the Defender looks and performs as a cheap razor. More drag than probably any razor I've ever used, it nicked me 2 out of the 3 times I used it. In contrast I am surprised at how many shaves I get from a Harry's, more than any Gillette blade, and at a considerably lower cost. I purchased one at Target to try and liked it so much I subscribed. Razors are one of those things you have to try for yourself.

Dude, I've been a Harry's customer for over 10 years. I decided to try Defender on a whim because it kept showing up on my IG feed. I'm done with Harry's. The Defender blades gave me the closest shave on my dome that I've ever had.
I like your philosophy. I used a Harry's razor for head shaves. I bought a leaf razor, and for my experience level, I don't like the feel of the metal razor on my head.
I haven't used Harry's but I absolutely love the Defender razor. My only complaint is that it feels a bit cheap in the hand, but it works so well I can live with that. I shave my head every other day and replace my blades every 14 days so I only have to pay $7.95 every 2 months for the Defender blades which is a great deal.
I just want to say, (I used to watch you on iLather) You look really good lately! You look like you've slimmed down too! You never looked bad, but you now look GREAT! And you have great tastes in shaving, love your vids, man.!

Currently trying defender with the sensitive blade works great so far. I Dont shave my dome everyday so my blade seem to last a bit longer but time will tell

I just bought the defender razor dual head and used it for my head. I really like the shave I get from the Defender. @4.95 for the defender stick; I think I will try that one instead of the dual head razor. It may be easier to shave my head with it. I just cancelled my DSC subscription and I had tried Harry's before. Neither one worked well for me so I'm gonna try out subscription to Defender razor for my head.

Been researching the whole Harry's head debate for a now after my son got a Harry's for Christmas and my wife just got one for herself. Have you heard about the "potato peel" incidents that some head shavers have experienced? That seems to be the issue that Harry's must be concerned about. I just borrowed my wife's Harry's today and had no issue. Interested in the Defender now and glad I saw this today.
Why did you shave three times in the same direction? I used to do my head shaving both front to back, back to front and from side to side on the top and front of my head.
If for no other reason than the Defender blades are spaced wider, making them much easier to clean, I’d vote Defender. But they also flex better. For me it’s no comparison.
Harry's is good razor.but for me I prefer Gillette fusion prosheild flexball chill. Very smooth shave. Defender I don't know. Now I use only this friend. Gillette fusion prosheild flexball chill. For my face now I use safety razor Wilkinson classic new.is good for me.

It reminded me of why I stopped using cartridge razors. When I pulled out my Timeless ss .95, it felt super smooth and great. One question, what does “you are not” in your intro supposed to mean? I don’t get it
Thank you for posting this. Next time you compare 2 razors on either side of your head - try going over each swipe just ONCE instead of multiple times over the same spot. That would tell a more accurate story.
Yikes, I give the Defender 5 stars. Beats the DSC and Harry's that I tried. I also plan on getting an Arc 5 with some birthday money. Defender and Arc 5, a great combo!
Are you sure you looked at a real defender razor? They never sell anywhere else beside their own website. I have been their customer for roughly 2+ years now.
I've been using the Defender for about a month and it's probably the best razor I've ever used and I used to be a Gillette man before they went all "woke". The blades are sharp and they don't glog and zero tug. The head of the razor is thinner and with the flex it makes it easier to get into the hard reach areas like under the nose. And let's not forget the great price point also makes it even more attractive. I also like the suction cup mount for the shower which is very thoughtful. I'm even gonna get the metal handle version and sign up for their club.
I love listening to you talk but oh man this looks horrible. You do this every day? Why? I can't even be bothered to shave more than once a week on average. lol
Its not that bad i been shaving my head over15 years daily pretty much. I times myself once can take less than 5 minutes. I personally got used to and enjoy my head feeling smooth and fresh and trying diff shaving soaps and after shaves. Once hair starts growing i get annoyed when i feel it all scratchy and stubbly

I can see women are more attracted to me after going bald... Specially sexually/lustly.

What are those green things on the defender I tried defender but mine didn't have those on it.
These were the old defender cartridges. I don't think they sell them that way any longer.

I don’t use cartridge razors often but I do take them for head shaves when I travel because of the ease and time saving.

Finally got my defender and it was ok on my face, but I had to use my omnishaver on a 2nd pass on my head
I've never tried the omnishaver myself. I do like the Harry's and Defender though.

Cris use regular cartridges or sensitive cartridges? Now I use defender sensitive cartridge Now i orderer regular cartriges!
At the time I was using the regular. I haven't tried the sensitive.
Maybe Harry's realizes that not all heads are perfectly round like your dome.
