Excellent video. I zinc plated one car since I started restoring and I went too far with it. Added too much material and had to sand the wee-wee out of it to make it look okay. This process is a case study in “sometimes, less is more “. Patience is the key IMO.

First, let me say, I LOVE this method. Seems to use less dangerous chemicals, use only a D type battery instead of a machine connected to the main powerline of the house, which again, is less dangerous. One thing I wanna make sure, you used a zinc strip and let it melt in the vinegar/salt mix, then you used another strip that you put in the croc clamp linked to the positive side of the battery, right?
