It is has been long and I have forgotten how good tv animation and cartoons used to be before CGI. Theses cartoons are truly amazing the have stood up to the test of time.
Oh yeah! Even with how limited the way Filmation worked, they made the most use of their methods as well as having good voice casting and stories to work with for their shows!
A Native American Astronaut Hero was so cool I loved Tarzan Lord of the jungle formation was really cool people will never know what it was to have Saturday morning cartoons and ABC After School Specials and the Children's Theater on CBS
He was originally attended to be black but CBS decided and it was changed at the minute. It was good that they didn't over do by making Blackstar a Native American stereotype like tended to back then like Apache Chief from Super Friends, even though they were well intentioned and not trying to be racist. If you want to make a black, white, woman, Asian, or Canadian sometimes you have think out the box and create a character.
vaguely remember this..I remember the unusual sword and the green dragon..I had the toy..this isn't nearly as memorable or good as he man,or she ra for that matter (all three of these shows are produced,written and voiced by the same group of people) sadly this was the worst of the trio

Loved this show as a kid. Basically, a template for MOTU. Prince Adam's mom even has the same origin story as John Blackstar more or less.
I wish they make a movie after this animation! It looks awesome!
