How can furniture, laptop and car be an asset. Shouldnt they be a liability as furniture will cause me annual maintenance until unless I rent it out. Laptop requires charging everyday. Car needs fuel and servicing. All these aspects are drawing money out of me. Why are we considering them as Asset, please explain. As I thought these three items are liability.

Thats expense after u buy the assets ...its accounted every year as and when it incurred..like petrol expense as conveyance expense....charging expense as electricity expense ....
