If you need pro bowlers at every single position and the best of the best coaching to even look average... do I really need to tell you what that means?
Hate to say it, but I don't see any real progress with this franchise as long as the McCaskeys run things. They're CLUELESS and CHEAP. Poles was trying to get rid of Eberflus in the off-season, but George McCaskey stopped him. I love the idea of Vrabel, but even if he's hired, I think ownership will find a way to screw it up. SMH...
Cheap? Bro this is a salary cap league, they don't pocket the excess. Yeah it's the owners fault that he won't throw to WIDE OPEN receivers that he's staring at. Hurdling imaginary people and throwing up a punt. Did you watch the game?
@UprightCaucasoid You're not getting the point. It's not the players that they're cheap with. The Bears hiring patterns at the GM and head coaching positions have been to bring in inexperienced first timers who are NOT on the radar of other NFL teams. They NEVER hire the "hot" candidates or established winners with a track record of credibility, because they don't have to pay top dollar for them. Harbaugh was available in the off season, but he never even got a serious consideration for the job. Instead they stuck with Eberflus, whose career record was already horrible 2 years in. Bringing in a strong personality with a track record would never occur to them because they would have to give up too much power and money. So you end up with Phil Emery and Marc Trestman. Or Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy. Or Ryan Poles and Matt Eberflus. If you are a Bears fan, you should be able to recognize these patterns.
@@ansonjackson6254 they also never want to pay max dollars to star players and would rather let them walk or trade them roquan smith, forte, urlacher, tagged Allen Robinson in 18 our best receiver at the time, convinced they didn’t want to pay fields new contract rather start over with a rookie contract cause it’s cheaper but I agree with you on why they always choose first time gm’s and first time coaches it’s for the same reason, don’t even want to pay for a new stadium even tho it’s the oldest and cheapest one in the league
Respectfully it doesn’t happen offer but Colin was spot ON with that assessment!! We just have to keep in mind Mike Vrabel got fired after a losing season however he can develop a culture. I’m not opposed to Kliff
I would bench CW unless you move Thomas Brown back to OC. I'm seriously going to quit if Bears don't get the HC right. They definitely should hire Vrabal. I'm not putting myself through the BS hype again sorry
Anyone saying CHI is a good coaching opening is insane. It might be the worst of all the openings: -Terrible Ownership + Brutally hard Division. Good luck. You'll be lucky to not finish last the next half decade. Oh yeah, and the QB is far worse than advertised and might be a bust.
I’m not really surprised with his play to be honest because of how he perceived himself coming out of the draft. NFL is a different kettle of fish altogether you cannot come out and be cocky, thinking you were coming in here to smoke everybody oh noooo you need to humble yourself, be coachable and above all make plays when they are there to be made. Coming out you didn’t want to interview with any other team but the bears, nobody will feel 0:50 sorry for you when you fail. He can still do it and be very successful but the right structure, strategy, coaching staff, environment, players who believe in him and a go-to guy especially when you are down someone who will tell you the truth and not necessarily what you want to hear. I’m still rooting for you, good luck and know that YOU CAN DO IT ✌️
Nobody was blaming ownership when fields was QB even with a better record it was always his fault now it’s ownership gm coach defense blame CW! All these excuses has better weapons than fields and the team looks worse even when eberflus was there, the truth is the locker room openly said they didn’t want Caleb, dj publicly said none of these rookie qb’s are better than fields and they trade him away and draft a bust you think they’re going to play for him the locker room was lost when they traded fields and got cw all the hype made them not want to play for him,Thomas brown even said the locker room was split and it always has been since the start of the season b4 the commanders game they were beating up loosing teams mostly the defense but the Hail Mary let the cat out the bag
Justin Fields improved for 3 straight seasons and had a great connection with D.J. Moore. Why they traded him is hard to understand. He was underappreciated. The Bears don't have a franchise QB. That is the problem. The OL is also not helping, either. Even when Caleb Williams has time in the pocket, he isn't consistently hitting receivers.
@TonyHollingsworth - Hopefully, Caleb Williams will end up being a franchise QB but he is NOT a franchise QB right now. Along with other fans, you aren't seeing what is actually happening. The Bears have not failed QB's. They haven't had franchise QB's. Jay Cutler was NOT a franchise QB. He had a strong arm and put up stats but he couldn't win games, espeçially against Green Bay. He also didn't win in Denver or Miami. Mitch Trubisky was not a franchise QB. He also did not win in Pittsburgh. I believe Justin Fields is a franchise QB. He could beat the pass rush. He had a strong connection with D.J. Moore. Moore had 1,200 yards and 8 TD playing with Justin Fields in only 13 games. The Bears were 5-3 to finish the 2023 season. Caleb Williams does not make quick reads and is not an accurate passer. He waits too long and puts too much pressure on the OL. He is not the playmaker that Justin Fields is. Caleb Williams lost the Lions game, not Matt Eberflus. Caleb Williams missed a wide open D.J. Moore with 44 seconds left. Caleb Williams blew a timeout two plays before the last play. Caleb Williams didn't rush to the line after the sack with 30 seconds left. Every player and Eberflus pleaded for him to get the play off and he took his time. Go watch it again. Caleb Williams lost the Texans and Colts game because of turnovers. He continually misses open receivers and waits too long to make decisions. He is young and could definitely improve but it isn't fair to not make him responsible for his part in losses. You talk about stats. Rushing yards are worth the same as passing yards. Rushing TD's are worth the same as passing TD's. Based on his per game averages last season, a full 17 game seaon for Justin Fields came out to 4,300 combined yards with 27 combined TD's. For some reason, Ryan Poles and the fanbase can't grasp that a QB's combined stats are what counts, not just passing stats.
@UlrightCaucasoid - Are you objective? Take the time to watch Justin Fields Every Pass/Every Run Highlights last season for the 2nd Detroit game, Commanders game, Atlanta Game and even games against Denver and Detroit #1 to see glimpses of his potential. Then, watch Caleb Williams highlights vs. the Texans, Colts, Commanders, Vikings, Packers, etc. With Justin Fields, you will see that defenses can't stack the line like they do against the Bears with Caleb Williams. Look at Justin Fields passes vs. Caleb Williams. He is more accurate and is willing to put the ball in spaces that Caleb Williams is not doing because he doesn't want to throw interceptions. I understand why the Bears decided to move on but it set the team back until Caleb Williams proves he can move the ball . The Bears are 25th in the league in points per game or 19 points per game. Last season, the Bears scored 22.5 points per game in Justin Fields' 12 full games. That is the same as Green Bay who were 12th in the league with 22.5 points per game in 2023. It is pretty clear but fans can't seem to appreciate Justin Fields because they forget or failed to appreciate what we had with Justin Fields when he was playing well. Is it possible that Caleb Williams can surpass Justin Fields in terms of guiding a team to score more than 22.5 points per game and also combine for more than 4,300 yards and 27 TD's? Yes, it is possible but Caleb Williams can't be categorized as a franchise QB or better than Justin Fields until he surpasses Justin Fields' accomplishments in 2023.
People keep brining up HC..but the front office isnt even stable. The GM typically picks the HC...bears fans dont even want ryan poles...so do you fire him and let the new GM pick the HC? Or give him the last year of his deal...you hire a new HC this year fire poles at the end of next season...bring in a GM...most GMs want their own guys...
Trade calab for some top draft picks and let the kid have a chance some place he can succeed owners just care about ticket sales bear fans are morons it dont matter there fine if they win 6-7 games a season
And a couple weeks ago praising Caleb Williams. I have been screaming about this bullshit OFFENSIVE Line for 5 years now, and NOTHING IS EVER FUCKING DONE.
As a long-time Bear fan, I feel that the Chicago Bears owes an apology to every bear in the wilderness and in zoos for naming themselves the Bears.
If you need pro bowlers at every single position and the best of the best coaching to even look average... do I really need to tell you what that means?
Great players make everybody else look good. And then there’s Caleb.
She was always going to be average at best but now she has excuses
Thanks man as a huge Chicago bears fan I appreciate you're words this season was Embarrassing

Oh now he needs a great coach hinting that he's not good enough to overcome a average coach.

damn good points
Why not go for it on 4th down every series, it doesn’t matter at this point?

Stop with your nonsense, he still couldn't put up the numbers Calab has , and you have to see if Calab gets better over 3yrs as they gave Fields
