    Boy I remember that Death Trap commercial! Rubix Cubes were HUGE in my grade school. It was a clever advertising ploy.

    Thank you, once again, for the upload!
    That's actor Joseph Campanella in the NAPA commercial. He's 85 now.

    The Rubik's Cube was a novel thing in the 1980s.

    I can only hope you never ever stop uploading these until every commercial aired in the 80s is accounted for

    ooohhhh Porky's! I was only 4, but I remember in 3rd grade, all the cool kids snuck behind our parents, and watched Porky's or Beverly Hills Cop...or Eddie Murphy Raw...Porky's, to us, was like the holy grail of grown up movies. I don't care for the movie that much, to be truthful.

    Aaagggh! I learned how to drive in my mom's 1982 bronze-y brown Mazda GLC! LOL at that CHiPs commercial. That guy in the Wrangler ad was stachin' AND pimpin'! My dad used to shop at Builder's Emporium all the time. I always loved how Ricardo Montelban said, "Corrr-doh-BAH." That sexy accent! Those fold-out "leisure loungers" (in the Wickes Furniture commercial) were the crappiest excuse for a chair when they weren't being used to lounge. They would totally sag under an average person's weight!

    Damn, if I was 14 years older in '82, I might have wanted a Dodge Rampage, :P , now I just have my stinking '96 GMC Yukon. :P.

    My first time, was on a waterbed of that last bedroom set on the wicks commercial...the one with the platform bed and dresser/mirror combo...of course, by that time, it was a 19 yr old hand me down from my BF at the time's, cousin.

  • @chrisbucci5769

    The entire promo for “Deathtrap” makes it sound like a violent thriller then at the end “Rated PG” WTF?

    • @80sCommercialVault
      @80sCommercialVault  ปีที่แล้ว

      There wasn’t a PG-13 rating until 1984. A movie had to be extremely violent and contain a lot of cursing/nudity to achieve an R rating before the PG-13 rating existed.

    Didn't care much for Porky's though. It had Animal House's raunch but none of the humor.
