I worked at the LEGO Store. When it says last chance to buy, it actually means that that particular store will not be selling that set anymore. So it’s the “last chance” to get it at that particular store. So it’s not necessarily retiring.
Definitly think that sets should be out for longer before they retire, especially more popular ones such as A-frame cabin and sanctum. Not everyone has money to spend all the time, and if they cant decrease prices they should increase shelf life.
While I agree with this premise, that especially more expensive sets should be around for longer so people can save up, in practice it doesn work. Lego releases so many new sets every year, you have to save up for the new one before you have time to get the old one. This mainly hurts people that like to collect loads of things, but thankfully not everyone. I spent a ton on Lego so far this year, but only 2 are from this year's lineup. The main draw is in older sets that I missed or that I still haven't been able to buy, like Rivendell or older castle or classic space sets.
Wow, I can’t believe the sanctum is going before the daily bugle. Maybe the daily bugle stands out more in the modular line due to its height. Thanks for the insight!
The 3-in-1 Castle must be one of the most popular sets in that theme. I have two and may get a third to build some of the rebrickable models (which there are many) to add to the original set.
Amazon and Target have been having the 3-in-1 castle on sale for 80USD lately again. If/when it retires I hope doesn't take long to put out a new version of a castle in that price range. The other medieval style castles are all few hundred dollars and seems a bit much for kids to pay (adults can afford, but kids are the largest part of Lego's business).
I remember buying my first LEGO set ever. Ninjago city gardens. It was on my birthday 3 years ago. I didn’t end up finishing it because I was either uninterested or just busy. Hearing that it will retire before I even finish building is insane. I’m starting to watch your videos again now, like live streams and of course your old unboxing videos.
I don't know anything about the show, but I sure do like the Ninjago stuff. If Gardens and Markets is going away it sure is tempting to splurge and get them.
You should, but I think its around 600 for both of them? I'm 90% sure that gardens is retiring by the end of this year as it's been around since 2021, not sure about markets though
What also sucks is that newer lego passenger train they released (The green one) will probably retire very soon in favor of a crappier uglier looking one that somehow takes even more batteries to run, this is a personal thing of mine, but sometimes very rarely, I wish they would just go back to 9V, batteries just piss me off sometimes.
The Tree House and the Medieval Castle are my main considerations. In my country the 2:00 Medieval Castle is around $125. Not that great of a deal for parts. And if you need 2-3 of them to build the bigger MOCs, it gets expensive. The 11:00 Tree House on the other hand is available for around $215. Better value. Love the MOC builds of the set as well. Maybe can even build a wooden castle ?? :O Might actually buy. Caught my eye since release but kept my wallet tight. Then again, the Zelda set just arrived with a VERY desireable tree set. But it's 536 less pieces for $80 more D:
This list is so amazingly long and I think I have 3-4 sets on this list I actually care about. The explorer sets are nice because of the animals, but for me they need to be discounted to be worth it. The A-Frame and Tree House are for sure great looking sets, but too expensive as well. Lastly the main set I think is top tier (and probably worth buying full price) is the 3 in 1 castle. I already own two of them, but I want a third one to get more options with the Mocs that are built with it. If the Viking Village is going to retire, that one will be important to pick up if someone wants it and doesn't already have it. I think it is the current best set Lego has, possibly that they've ever made. It is not as ingenious and full of figures as a Lion Knight's, but the price is amazing for what you get.
I am so disappointed with the Ninjago city gardens set being retired. I got into Ninjago very recently, and I saw the set and I was in LOVE! Its so pretty! And from what I've seen it comes with all of the main character figures. But its crazy pricey. Since it'll be retired soon I imagine it'll become a collectors item and shoot up in price even more. But I guess that's what happens when your 12 years late to the party, sigh. Even though the sets only been out for around 4.
Hi bricksie I have just rediscovered your channel for the first time in years I remember watching you during the begins of covid I love you vids I still remember the old tables that looped around the basement and all I have been a viewer since 5k subs!
15:02 Stud-enium Falcon leaving is music to my ears. I could literally cut a baseplate into the shape of the Millenium Falcon and you wouldnt be able to tell em apart. xD Jokes aside I'd love to see a mid-size Falcon with smoother surfaces like the 75375 set. I'll probably not buy it but still. 2:00 nice notes on that Castle set. Combining two into a larger Castle sounds cool but doing six like 20:45 for $600 is bonkers. Interesting look with the dark grey walls unlike the light grey castles we usually see.
Love the Speed Champions- favorite theme right now (do have WAY more Star Wars...) happy to say I have all the 8 wide sets... missed out on most of the 6 wide and they are hard to get :(
When I checked the lego website, minifigure series 25 is already retired. Quite sad. I was going to use brick search to get some more. Obviously I won't be able to do that as much as I wanted bazel the batlord and the goat herder. 🐐😢
I wish they would stop making these sets so big. I would love to pick some of these up but space is a major obstacle. Also, that Endor diorama set looked really good in the box art, but a big disappointment when I actually built it.
I have a handful of sets i need to get asap b4 they skyrocket. I need that jurassic ford explorer set since i have the jeep. I really want the hogsmeade village set. Theres a bunch i want .
Hey! Long time fan here and I know the comments sometimes are critical---- but it really hurts just seeing you call some sets and themes all just "bad"... Its okay to not be a fan of them but just know everything is for a different audience! Just hurts to hear you call some stuff bad when your audience (especially your younger audience) may be fans of those
Well sounds like I am going to buy the el dorado fortress sooner than I planned and then buy the knight castle later (I am from Denmark and I don’t know the English name for the castle. It is the set with like 22 mini figures inspired by the Lego castle theme) Update: I ordered the fortress. Same site still had 4 Galaxy Explorer sets left, so I ordered that one as well. I am so excited! Also I ordered the Saturn V rocket from the same site after it had retired (well it was just after Christmas that year it retired and Lego didn’t have anymore of them. Update: they have now been delivered and I am super happy!
Hey Jordan, what HP house do you belong to? The Blue Jays are having a giveaway of the houses for fans coming up. I might go. I can get you one. It's basically a shirt with sleeves that go with the houses.
An amazing collection. Are your shelving units BILLY from Ikea? Most of the units look like BILLY. I'm considering getting some for displaying my collection (still very small) but am looking for deeper options such as the unit where the Mos Eisley Cantina is sitting. Is that a BILLY or something else?
Should still be around till like late November. Sets always officially retire December 31st, but Lego stops producing sets before that date and sadly isn't transparent about quantity.
@@lordn4353 So deadline is 31st of December? I just got back into Lego so I’m trying to get back and start collecting again. My big purchases are Strange’s sanctum, Daily Bugle, Avengers Tower for myself and the office set and Disney castle, for my sister!

I was about to say. Wayyyy too many of these sets are too big and expensive to already be retiring.
Great info, his local Lego Store is also the largest in Canada. It probably has a lot of shelf space for a lot of sets.
What about when its Online?
@@adamb2619 That should mean that it’s actually going to retire.

I'm surprised shadowbox is retiring, doesn't feel like it's been out long at all
18:08 bro why would the Viking village retire this year? I think it sold pretty decently and it hasn’t even been out for 6 months yet

It's sad that all of these great sets have to retire. Especially sets like the AT-AT and the sanctum sanctorum.😭
Yeah I think the AT AT should stay even longer

My goal was to have one of every botanical and/or flowers set, but now I'm thinking I need a typewriter and a Sanctorum!
sets here got the marvel ones just oreded A frame cabin enjoyed your live stream yesterday 🍕
