    Well we like the centrifugal powered deburr tools this retraction is really and easy tool for use. Here 1.45 mm would still work for some applications though we machine really small holes but not always.

    wow that is impressive. how would one calculate the speeds and feeds for such a tool?

      You just throw it in the hole at reasonable RPM. The spring loaded cutting edge will establish the chip thickness no matter the actual feed per revolution.

    if its already in the machine why not use a chamfer mill or spot drill?

    • @alsuncat
      @alsuncat 5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Because a chamfer mill and a spot drill can only be executed from one plane at a time, making them more time consuming. This tool dose two planes in one movement. A time saver.

    Won't this widen the inside diameter of the holes?

      nebnoswel you would think, but the cutting edge does not contact the side of the hole. It only cuts when going into the holes. I have had 7 years experience with tools like these. They work great.

      Aaron Jay so the vertical section of the cutter is not sharp? Very clever!

    What are the odds of a hobbyist like myself getting his hands on some of these tools?

      Slim to none... unless you mean used at an auction. While I was doing homeshop work I never knew were all tools really come from. Once I got employeed at a factory I was immediately covered in catalogs with distributors calling me all day for tools, offers and alternatives as well as to ask me how they did. The cutting fluid guy even came all the way here because we told him we change to a competitor. All we bought was 20L to make the first batch of coolant on a new machine and as the summer came the chemical smell became unbeareable. That prompted him to travel 700kms when we clearly told him we switched and we are done (not just for us but he still dropped by).

      They will sell them to anyone? Lol. Call them and they'll tell you the distributor near you. You call them and order what you want. Easy.
