It's incredible how good mics can be for cheap. The MXL 990, SM57, Podmic, Blue Ember, King Bee, etc; it's hard to go wrong these days and I love that honestly. The Wave DX is unfortunately in that catagory like the AT2040 where it had an underwhelming release but over time I've grown to like it a lot. Sure neither are perfect but they're damn solid and honestly overlooked choices. On your voice, the Wave DX sounded rather nice and clean. I especially enjoy how it handled the EQ curve, it's very "broadcast-y" with the mid cut and boosted bass whilst not being obnoxious like the Procaster for example. I'm certain if you did more voice-overs or streaming with this mic no-one would complain. Good video as always; keep doing what you do. 🤘🤘
Hi, bro! Great review! I'm going to give the Elgato Wave DX a chance. I was searching online for a shock mount for this mic, but there's no official recommendation from elgato. Can you recommend one? Thanks! Greetings from Peru
I did a video on shock mounts. They really don’t make a big difference. Especially when they are attached to a desk or something that moves. You can check out that video and see if something may work for this mic. Thanks for checking out the video!
Having owned one for nearly more than a year i can say that PODMIC would have been a better choice for my voice. The Wave DX is more on the brighter side which is in a way bad for my near deep voice.

Thanks for checking out the video! We are in a good time for affordable mics so anyone can make stuff
Can't wait for the Podmic shootout.
It’s gonna be a good one! The tests were interesting and kinda tough to figure out which one I like more in specific tests. Should be out on Tuesday!
