- You may have discovered a farthing in an old cupboard or drawer, but do you know what the coin is worth? In this video I focus on the key dates and values of the South African farthing. Most of them are worth only a few rands, but many of them like the 1926 proof, the 1930 or the monster 1933, 1934 and 1936 coins are worth 10's or even 100's of thousands of rands!

I have a1908 S.A. farthing,what is the current value,not selling⁸.my farthing is the oldest compared to the ones you have dhowed.
It's not a South African farthing. The SA farthing was minted from 1923 to 1960. It's probably British. Does it depict a soldier sitting with spear and shield? Usually not worth much, except in pristine condition.
