I love Earthwing’s philosophy towards skating, their concaves aren’t my cup of tea, but they are definitely a brand that’s actively promoting and trying to get newer riders in the sport with affordable products. Which I can’t say the same for some brands.
I've got the Tyler Howell pro model from the Arbor DH lineup and it is absolutely fire. Would def like to see the Voltage reviewed, I'm sure it's good too.
Just wanted to say, I definitely enjoy your content. I just got into longboarding I’ve picked up a few decks but I’m still looking to explore other styles. I just picked up a Pantheon sacrifice and I’m dying for the snow to go away to enjoy it properly.
been waiting for over a month for my town to defrost and be dry for once, today was good, but when I got ready and to my spot it started raining again ;-;
@@owencampbell777 I also recently acquired a LY Battle Axe. I got my 8 year old daughter a LY tugboat and a LY dipper. She wanted to learn how to longboard too. We’ve gone out a few times and I think the dipper is actually a little too small. She keeps putting her foot on the kick and losing her balance, so I gave her the dipper that I picked up.
It's on my list of things to do, it just hasn't been a priority of mine amongst other reviews that have been sponsored by companies or Patrons. As of right now, I can't fully explain the physics of how weighted freeride boards work. I don't have a full grasp of the subject, I just have a loose understanding of the benefits.
i was close to getting this deck but lucked out with a sale on the zenit rocket v5. love me wheel flairs because im a big fan of running the biggest wheels i can fit underneath me. thanks for the review.
Dope video. And i agree with your statements. About the board. I switched from a switch 40 to a blaze pt. Kinda the same consept of board. Helped me get into the small board small truck game. That was years ago. Now i skate a happy board co thunder v2 and zealous v1 and various wheels. About to try myflys. We ever gonna see you try mcflys on a small setup? But dope video and cant wait for whatever you reveiw next.
I'm definitely curious about the McFlys, especially after seeing Maxime Sokol freeride so well on them. However, with the community's speculation about the shady business practices of 88, I'm hesitant to review their products and support a company that has so many rumors surrounding them. I won't go into the details about the rumors I've heard because I don't want to perpetuate any ideas that I don't know to be truth.
Been considering both this board and the Arbor DH Voltage as I'm planning to set up a smaller board. Slightly bummed it's a Madrid product, as I've had better experiences with Earthwing's own construction than Madrid's. And I might be mistaken, but isn't the Cam Brick concave mold just the Nessie mold? I believe some product video on the Brick mentioned that. Also keen to see what you think of those Trotta pro wheels.
@@owencampbell777Definitely weird that the power orbs are missing. But I just watched Madrid's 'The Brick with Can Brick' video and he confirms it's the Nessie mold. Crazy that they've gotten over a decade of relevance from that Nessie concave.
Props to Madrid for making a timeless concave. I haven't had any bad experiences with Madrid construction, but I have friends that have been disappointed with it in the past. In the future, it sounds like Earthwing is going to be making more downhill boards in their own factory.

You should do a review on the arbor high voltage! It’s 130bucks🔥🔥🔥
Nice suggestion! I'll look into it
And the wolf shark 2024 if someone is able to borrow you one🔥❤️
I DEFINITELY want to get my hands on the wolfie. I thought I heard rumor of a smaller one dropping in the future
@@owencampbell777lit! Can’t wait to watch that video. Best reviews on TH-cam🔥🔥

I'm in the same boat, I got some awesome new trucks and wheels and the weather has been terrible for 2 weeks straight, with more snow on the way.
@owencampbell777 what part of the world do you live? I got the chase hiller pro model from pantheon and I just need to skate it

Cincinnati Ohio
I love EW for making a safe space for all the microdrop-a-phobes out there with their line up. Oldschool concave all day every day!
*Another fun, informative and enjoyable video*
🤙🏽⚡️🤟🏽⚡️👌🏽
Love geekin out on the details
Thanks for always watching and commenting!
Great video! Very informative.
May we please get a physics explanation video on how weighted freeride weight boards work?

Can't beat that Zenit construction, their boards are awesome. I love the Rocket series
If that spot in the beginning is in Cincinnati I need to know where, I’m local and that just looks perfect.
Not in Cincy unfortunately. But send me a DM on Instagram and I can get you connected with our downhill community! @owencampbell777
Great review!!!
Thank you!!

It might be the nessie mold, but it’s missing those weird concave “orbs” that used to sit behind the foot positions
