- I was surprised to see this superb gathering dedicated to the 40 years of the Iveco Turbostar truck. Yes, in 2024, we will celebrate with forty candles the beginning of the marketing of the Italian bison of the road, which began in 1984. We are at Auto e Moto d'Epoca at the Bologna Fair, and the Circolo Italiano Camion Storici organized the event. This industrial vehicle has become a legend thanks to its powerful and high-performance V8 diesel engine that established itself in the 80s and 90s until closing the winning parable of its career with the 190-48 Special version. Its halo of Mito Truck has grown over time until today, where it's always admired and surrounded by a large group of enthusiasts at gatherings. We thank the owners and custodians of these vehicles maintained obsessively, some with open exhausts; they are an absolute joy for all of us. Initially marketed as the 190-33 with the 6-cylinder Turbo-Intercooler engine of 330 hp and in the more powerful 190-42 version equipped with a V8 Turbo engine, without an intercooler, of 420 hp, it saw its maximum expression in 1989. The 190-48 made its debut, where the V8 Turbo engine is associated with the intercooler for a final power of 480 hp. In the video you can also find the legendary V12 engine of "Gino Bicicletta" who paid homage to us with splendid and smoky accelerations and the Donato Truck Drift, the most famous racing truck in Italy belonging to Daniele Quercioli. Con grande sorpresa ho avuto l'occasione di vedere questo splendido raduno dedicato ai 40 anni del camion Iveco Turbostar. Ebbene si, nel 2024 si festaggiano con quaranta candeline l'inizio della commercializzazione del bisonte italiano della strada, iniziata ne 1984. Ci Troviamo ad Auto e Moto d'Epoca, in Fiera a Bologna e l'evento è stato organizzato dal Circolo Italiano Camion Storici. Questo veicolo industriale è diventato leggenda grazie al suo potente e prestazionale motore V8 diesel che si è imposto negli anni 80 e 90 fino a chiudere la parabola vincente della carriera con la versione 190-48 Special. Il suo alone di Camion Mito è cresciuto nel tempo fino a giungere ai giorni nostri dove nei raduni è sempre ammirato e circondato da una folta schiera di appassionati. Ringraziamo i proprietari, custodi di questi mezzi mantenuti in modo maniacale, alcuni con scarichi aperti; sono per tutti noi una vera gioia. Inizialmente commercializzato come 190-33 con il motore 6 cilindi Turbo-Intercooler da 330cv e nella più potente versione 190-42 equipaggiato con un propulsore V8 Turbo, senza intecooler, da 420cv, vede la sua massima espressione nel 1989. Fa il suo debutto il 190-48, dove al motore V8 Turbo si associa l'intercooler per una potenza finale di 480cv. Nel video trovate anche il mitico motore V12 di "Gino Bicicletta" che ci ha omaggiato con splendide e fumose accelerate ed il Donato Truck Drift, il camion da gara più famoso d'Italia appartenente a Daniele Quercioli. A finales de los años ochenta y principios de los noventa mi padre hacía la ruta Galicia Italia con un 190.42 y luego un fantástico 190.48 . Que recuerdos me trae. Me vuelve loco ese sonido V8. Me alegra que aún queden Iveco turbo star en buen estado. Ese sonido pone los pelos de punta
Tienes razón, a mí también siempre me ha encantado esta camioneta. Afortunadamente, el éxito de ventas, sobre todo en Italia, ha sido muy bueno y hay continuas concentraciones de camiones, tengo la oportunidad de ver al menos 2 o 3 ejemplos. Este encuentro del que estás siendo testigo es algo excepcional porque nunca se han visto tantos TurboStar juntos en los últimos años. Debo decirles que en Italia todavía existen estos camiones que circulan todos los días. También debes saber que especialmente los 190.48 se han vuelto muy buscados y muchos coleccionistas los están restaurando como recién salidos de fábrica y cada vez es más común encontrarlos en mítines de camiones antiguos.
