Fighting khamzat is a Death Sentence for Usman. Khamzat the better wrestler. The better submission specialist. The better striker. Taller faster. Tougher Chin. Usman can't even gas Khamzat out because he gets gassed too. It won't be a decision. Someone will get slaughtered and it won't be Khamzat.

What both Usman and people who kept saying he'd win... didn't realize was that his was simply a case of time: he's just out of time. It has nothing to do with skills, determination, planning, he's not himself that night, or anything. When you match up two elites, the older guy is MORE likely to lose than the younger guy.
People who keep saying a smaller version of Usman --- same elite wrestling, same cardio & pressure but lacking in one-punch KO power, same age/36+, slow in speed & agility, plodding & average striking, lack of elite BJJ --- is going to finally overwhelm the bigger, prime, 6'2" 190lb Leon, who is an elite striker with elite TDD, good BJJ, good wrestling, and superior speed & agility ... they're just not being realistic.
Burns is not beating Leon... nor Belal nor Colby nor Neal nor grandpa Wonderboy... It will take THE NEXT GENERATION of younger fighters who also are elite in most major aspects of MMA, especially in BJJ, who also have Leon's height, weight, strength, speed, agility, & general athleticism to beat him. Elite wrestling alone like what Colby & Usman have isn't sufficient.
"Next level cardio and pressure" are fine things to have, yes... so long as a bigger, taller, faster, more agile, younger, stronger, and more elite guy doesn't keep accurately, with measure & sound defense, smashing you on the chin, or kicking your legs and body, every other minute...

Then to go up against the same guy the new champ that finished him not that long ago in his home town with the expectation that you go out there and dominate him like you did the first 2 fights while father time is breathing down your neck etc etc.
To pretend that physically and mentally that recent brutal KO alone had no effect is delusional to pretend there was no mental struggle in the leadup to this fight is delusional. But I see you have the "mate" in there so I guess it is in your own best intrest emotionally to pretend that the obvious reality isn't the truth.

He just hasn't lost a lot to make excuses for a loss, but he's always made excuses for his losses and even when he wins he makes excuses for bad moments he had in a fight he won or performances he wasn't happy with. From years back with the "that was me at 30%" to more recent fights making excuses about his hands, knees, busy with pressures and obligations of being a champion, wanting to beat Jorge a second time because of all of the issues he had before the first fight.
