    It was great meeting you in person yesterday at the tackle shop. Thanks for taking the time to talk to me and give me information on some rods. Keep up the great work.

      Cheers Dave! All good mate, that combo will be a beast just keen the rod angle low and use the bottom section of the rod to fight fish and you’ll love it. Enjoy ✌🏻

    What colour is that 75mm vibe at the end of the video mate? And does it matter on colour with threadies?

    • @Micksgonefishing
      @Micksgonefishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s either pink eyed grimace or bleeding mullet.. I don’t think it matters unless the water is really clean!

    You've got a really nice understanding of fish movements in the system. Do similar principals apply outside of the Mackay area where tides are a lot smaller?

    • @Micksgonefishing
      @Micksgonefishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks mate, I do spend a lot of time on the water and have a lot of experience, a lot of it is understanding the species and their feeding habit and a lot of that I learnt years ago when I was into hobby aquaculture. The same principles apply to a lot of areas, obviously situations vary but at the end of the day they are still the same species..

      Stops the glare mate 😅 haha nah, I’ve got sponsors who pay me for my fishing and it’s not fair to them if other brands who don’t support me get the same or similar exposure.

    Hey mate, i found a school of threadies like that but mixed in with small trevs about 2 months ago but everytime i go back, they arent there. Do you know where they go?

    • @Micksgonefishing
      @Micksgonefishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They move around a lot mate, they always move around when I follow them and I might get a 2 minute window on them before they’ve moved so I move with them to stay on them. Predicting where they are going is tricky and can only be learnt by experience I believe…

    • @kizzjd9578
      @kizzjd9578 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Micksgonefishing Thanks, when you say move, they do move about 70m radius of a spot at times. But do they move completely off a spot? Like piss off and go elsewhere?
