If there is one thing, I appreciate about your channel is that you cover all the bases when it comes to socio-economic levels. You give us insight into pieces most of us will probably never see in person, yet you give equal treatment to ones most of us could afford. You are TH-cam treasure, brother.

More content variety means more views as well as publicity. This guy owns a boutique in Cleveland, this is a good way to gain even more foot traffic. It’s a win win for him! Of course I’d take the list with a grain of salt considering how many Seiko’s are on there. I don’t care how affordable or how many designs they have, a shitty watch accuracy/movement means a worthless watch.

I was in Japan last week and stopped by the Grand Seiko Boutique. There's a new Astron with a blue dial that just POPS and spoke to me, so I picked it up. It's nice to see a bright blue dial, as it seems "Midnight Blue" is the rave, and frankly just looks black in most lighting situations. It fits this category as is under $1000 and is the ever popular integrated bracelet style. I never thought I'd pick up an Astron, but the dial is phenomenal!

I just saw the Farer and the Baltic in person at the Windup watch fair. They are both very nice, but that Farer Sorbet really stands out. Such a fun and surprising versatile watch. It might even be considered a modern classic at some point.

      @prble-d9v ปีที่แล้ว

Same here, in person really does both justice. The Baltic reminds me of a Cartier Crash with the elongated numerals, but the 3D effect Farer achieves on even the non-lume Erebus Midnight is super impressive - the second hand for example really pops

All great watches. I own 2 Tissot Gentleman and a brand new PRX 35mm. The finish is exceptional. The Gentleman has nothing to envy to a Longines Conquest that costs more than twice (1300 vs 600). If the Gentleman was made in 39mm or 38mm would be THE perfect watch. I think people look down to Tissot because of the price.

    I absolutely love my Gentlemen.
Puts a smile on my face every time I strap it on.
Have the Rolex and Grand Seiko equivalents so it’s not a money thing, it’s a watch thing.
They really should release a three fold clasp version with a brushed finish and colour matched date window maybe.
Have a PRX Quartz too, sorry to burst the hype train bubble, but it’s simply not in the same league (even if it was the lesser spec’d Auto) as the Gentleman.

I wonder if the swatch group ordered them to limit the silicium movement.

The Nodus Unity is very nice. The color matched ceramic insert is there as part of the aesthetic. It's not a five watch. It steps up perfectly from the edge to the crystal and will deter desk and similar scratches that steel can't. It feels great on the wrist. The applied markers surrounding the cutouts on the dial are also a Nodus signature. They did this on their Duality years ago.

Great stuff, though my vote would go the Pantheum Automatic Oculus, a dial inspired by the ancient Roman Pantheon. It's amazing for that price point.

Funny, I think my original message was deleted, probably because of the link, I'll edit without them:
Thanks for showing these off, actually last week, I was hesitating exactly between the Seiko SRPE41 "Negroni" and the Gentleman (in white) for about the same price. I've finally chosen the Gentleman as it seemed more versatile for everyday wear.
But I really love the dial of the Seiko, it packed quite a punch for its price, and I like the smaller size, but I felt like you couldn't wear this deep red watch with most things. Maybe I am not enough of a dandy. :)

I’d say you chose wisely. At the end of the day, versatility is important.

Definitely think the Seiko SARX055 is a worthy edition to this list. Titanium case and bracelet, textured dial somewhat reminiscent of GS dials.

Helm...awesome dive style watches with Seiko automatic movements, sapphire crystals, 6425 depth ratings..wow. Plus they come with a metal bracelet and a nato strap. All for an industry beating price of $345.00 with shipping. A couple models are less and one is more but still around $400.

The Seiko Presage with dark red dial looks like the next best thing to an anOrdain.

The 35mm Tissot PRX? Finally! My little sister has been waiting for a watch that will fit her wrist. 😂

Do you know if Tissot will release the seastar 36mm automatic sometime soon?
