Modern Stair Railing - How to install horizontal steel and wood railing

In this video I briefly show how I install metal railings that I build in my shop. I typically use powder coated steel and a wood accent piece to create a modern and sleek looking staircase or railing. This is all custom made for every home and I believe it can really add to the overall value of the home.

Its a great option. Id just look for custom metal shops in your local area, I don't know any there.

Hi - what are the dimensions/sizes of the post/tubing/bar?
What is the height of the post from the floor to the top railing? What are the width from one post to the next post? Thanks

This is all local code specific. Less than 4" between horizontal pieces and 36" tall. The post spacing is whatever your material can support and maintain the 4" gap, generally 4 feet but varies.

Nice job. I have something similar to do, but on laminate floor. I am not sure if metal railling should press down floor or it should remain floating under rail foots. Any sugestion? Thanks.
