You did not bring up the weather in Winter Haven. There has never been an evacuation in this area. When hurricanes hit either coast we just get under 50 mile an hour wind and medium heavy rains at the most. I lived here during a hurricane that actually was directly in our path but by the time it hits the middle of the state where Winterhaven is it’s completely died down. I think that’s a big plus for this area.

I’ve also kept track of past present and possible future hurricane paths, weather, etc… other than what climate change could cause “long term”-- I only plan to be in FL for the next 2-3 years or so… I must say “geographically” Winter Haven looks like an ideal place to be. I had a good feeling about this place when I began my career in Neuro. I was looking for somewhere to break into my career after graduation. Winter Haven stood out to me first. Still sounds good👍
I graduated from All Saints’ Academy in WH. I love that it is still a small town and has plenty of homes with space from your neighbors, too. And it has the best community theatre.

I live in California and want to move there sometime, but with the rapid growth, they definitely need more retail stores including target,more supermarkets. Hopefully it's already in the city's plans.

The best thing I did was leave this city its nothing to do boring no jobs, I live in Hallandale Beach which is next Miami and Hollywood Beach the night life is amazing and its always some were to go and enjoy yourself
I lived in Orlando for 15 years and visited Winter Haven frequently, such a cool city. I moved out of Central Florida in 2015 and then wondered what the heck did I leave Orlando for? 🤦🏾♂️.

Keep in mind that all of those areas provide some great options and have their own reasonings to make for a good place to live. But if I had do list them on average, most affordable on up it would look like this: 1. Winter Haven - Auburndale 2. Haines City (very close second) 3. Lakeland 4. It has grown fast. Lake Wales is going to see the next boom I believe.
