Want to point out that more than once in this video I mistakenly referred to Mike's DID as BDP. This was not intentional at all as I tend to get abbreviations with the letters "B" and "D" in them mixed up. My apologies to anyone I have offended with this blunder.

I understand what you mean. I would want to bring back Geoff and/or Bridgette as All-Stars though, especially since I feel like Bridgette should have made it further in World Tour and deserved to make it to at least the top 5 in a season.
It doesn't matter how long it's been,I still can't get over the fact Brick missed his chance of being in an All Star season because the writers enjoyed writing Sam more
Honestly Brick would have been so much better and that would have created tension and drama and it would have been much more interesting

I prefer them writing about something they are inspired on bcse at least you can tell they likednthe cast they were given to work with.

One point that I can’t get over about this season is how Scott’s character randomly turned dumb mid-season. It’s like the writers didn’t know what to do with his character so they just gave him Lindsay’s personality.
Also, it is a shame how Mal became such a central character this season, as I feel like the point of an all star cast is to see how these characters we already know compete with each other, rather than just having them all lose to a new character we have no knowledge of.
I fully agree. They needed to give Scott a brain. I can understand the occasional comedic moments of the Shark being after him but he still needed to be smart and manipulative like he was in his previous season
I agree, I think they either needed to have more episodes and characters to develop his character and not make him the whole focus. I think they wasted too many episodes focusing on just him and saving Cameron what like 3 times when that could've been 3 other characters they could've added to compete in and get booted off.
Right, i would have liked to think of All Stars as a beatiful season.
Relaxing to watch, , (as I all think).
We just wanted too see in general all the most famous competitors compete aganist them, without a real protagonist, because we already knew everyone.

I feel like Sierra’s knowledge of how the game works was also greatly left out, considering it’s an all star season, it would make sense for Sierra to understand how each player works since she’s a fan of the show, it feels like a missed opportunity
I agree! What made Sierra a worthy competitor in TDWT, other than having some unique specific skills like basket weaving as well as having physical strength and a lack of fear when she was determined to get something done (usually to get closer to Cody or save him from something), was her knowledge of the game and her competitors. She correctly predicted how things would go in TDWT multiple times, like when she predicted the Amazons would lose in the Amazon challenge or when she revealed knowing how Heather was trying to play her, how Gwen obviously liked Duncan and so on.
She could have been utilized much better in All Stars if she used that knowledge to get under Alejandro and Heather's skin, saying she predicts that they get together, or saying she predicts Gwen breaking up with Duncan before Gwen does so, which causes drama between the two or causes Gwen to get frustrated with Sierra and for the first time want to vote someone off who isn't necessarily a villain or Duncan to start becoming insecure about his bad boy status (this could be a better start to him becoming insecure of his status, instead of him just being put on the heroes team or showing compassion which he's showed without a problem other times in the show but it was made a big deal out of in All Stars for no reason). She could have predicted Courtney and Scott becoming an item, which could also cause drama or just be used to tease their relationship further. She could also give more one-liners which foreshadow later events, like when Chris pulls the Ezekiel prank, she could have a confessional or a comment about how that might come back to bite Chris and then when the 100 episode Ezekiel thing happens, someone could comment that Sierra predicted this or something along those lines, to show her competence as a character.
Overall, I think she suffers from the same kind of debuffing this season's writers did to the other characters. Which is a shame, she had more potential than that.
Sam making it to all stars instead of Owen feels like a insult.
I think it was because Owen’s voice actor declined to voice him for a whole season.

I remember a while ago trying to change the final few episodes myself.
On Sundae Muddy Sundae, have Mal fabricate a fake chart to frame Courtney. However when they found out it was fake, Mal convinced them Scott made it. And Scott gets voted off, leaving two Gen 1 and two Gen 2 characters for the Final Four.
The next ep, have the two eliminated be Gwen and Mal. Courtney promises to win for both her and Gwen, strengthening their friendship. However Mal actually managed to not get flushed down without anyone noticing.
Now the finale is Courtney vs Zoey. A Gen 1 and a Gen 2, both being girls with the previous season being boys. And Mal is behind the scenes sabotaging them both and planning to steal the million.
That's when Mal and Mike have a mental fight, and no there's no reset button. That's when Mike returns.
In one ending, Zoey is happy to see Mike, but both forget about Courtney and Courtney wins TDAS
In the second ending, Mike and Zoey team up with their combined acrobatic skills. And Zoey wins TDAS.
This was a fan idea I had in my head months ago.😅🤣

Another thing for me: Make it where Gwen doesn't complain about being a villain for three episodes straight. I was absolutely fine with her after the first few episodes (basically after Courtney joined the villains team) but she was complaining about being a villain and how Duncan was not Courtney's boyfriend in WT when she made a confessional about it saying she was sorry in WT. I had not cringed so badly since Trent's obsession with the number nine in Action. Easy fix, but important.
Like I say I liked her in the rest of the season. I really liked her and Courtney but also her friendships with Zoey and Cameron are so underrated (I am gonna mention this in pretty much every comment I make about Gwen in All Stars or her character in general)
Agree and to be honest we shouldeve benn able to vote from good characters form 1 ans 2nd generations but i could be wrong

can i mention on how in that exact season, she feels sad that courtney hates her and gets too serious about being in the villains team? again, she didn't regret being with Duncan and started hating Courtney with no hesitation at the end and now all of the sudden, she barely gives attention to Duncan and cares more about being with Courtney, even giving the idea he wasn't her boyfriend at the time (when there's literally proof that Duncan and Courtney got together again in World Tour??) it felt forced tbh

@@nicoleflores2054 I think fans complained about Courtney and Gwen not being friends so they forced it to happen when, like you said, Gwen cared about Duncan more than her friendship with Courtney (reasonable since her and Duncan were cool since s1 unlike her and Courtney) then made it OOC in AS.
Not to mention they made Duncan weak and care too much. Also VERY out of character comparing him to WT.
This season also needs the aftermaths, along with having a 26 format episode or at least 20 episodes for more story development along with the dynamics of the characters.
Total Drama stopped having 26 episodes season because Fresh TV felt that 13 episodes seasons were better due to low costs.

They completely wasted him and used him as filler. Because of course Sierra and Cameron had better plots and potential than Lindsay and Sam.

Here's how I would've done TDAS:
1. Have it all take place AFTER Pahkitew Island, so the cast of all three generations can interact.
2. Go back to the 26 episodes format. Let Revenge and Pahkitew be the only ones in the season with 13 episodes.
3. Have all of the final five from all seasons be all stars. So that includes: Owen, Gwen, Heather, Duncan, LeShawna(TDI), Courtney, Harold, Beth (TDA), Cody, Sierra, Alejandro (TDWT), Zoey, Cameron, Lightning, Scott, Jo (TDRI), and Sugar, Sky, Jasmine, Shawn, and Max (TDPI). Scarlett can be added as an extra to have an equal amount of 22 players as it pays homage to the first season.
4. HAVE something happen to Camp Wawanakwa AFTER the TDRI finale due to the radiation! No stupid sinking.
5. HAVE ALL THE CONTESTANTS COME BACK AS EITHER CAMEOS OR TO SUPPORT THE FINALISTS!
That is all.
That’s good but Mike has to be in there too.
1. Zoey’s character is not complete without Mike
2. We needed a satisfying ending with the two where they finally get together.

4. Courtney over Zoey in finale vs Mal, and Duncan as her ally, imagine her being forced to work with him to find out how to defeat Mal

For me, I say maybe Courtney over Mal. Villans are great, but they don't need to be in the finale/final 2. Maybe Mal goes out final 4. Like he faced his demons and decided to go out, to help Zoey win. Like Zoey and Courtney are the 2 fan favorites of each of their generation that is female, and both are seen as people who should have won a season/get to the finale at least.
I would say Dawn or B instead of Anne Maria

Yeah. I have also noticed that the other helpers have made it to the finale 2 of a season, so it would have made sense to add Duncan and Lighting. Although I think the reason they didn't do it was because instead of being in the bubbles, Duncan was in jail, and they couldn't have had one person have 3 helpers and the other only have 2.

If they were going to have Zoey take a long time to figure out that it was Mal instead of Mike then at the very least have Mal be extremely convincing around Zoey or at the very least keep all his Mal acts out of view of Zoey. Regardless she should have figured out sooner. It didn’t have to be super soon but she should have at least been suspicious and been like wait Mike isn’t acting like himself or any of the other personalities I know

Simply making the season 26 episodes instead of just 13 would have improved it a lot.
They definitely should’ve added Brick, Anne Maria, Owen, & Leshawna into All Stars.
This would’ve allowed the ratio of new and old gen characters to be even still and they could’ve split the teams up like this:

I was thinking this except replace Sam with Harold. There are a lot more first Gen characters than 2nd Gen ones, so there should've been more 1st Gen characters than 2nd Gen characters. Also, as an added bonus, they're played by the same voice actor.
I would particularly replace Sam and Owen for Tyler (he has his dynamic with Lindsay and Alejandro) and Harold (Leshawna and Duncan) and Dawn instead of Sierra

I agree. He had a strategy in tdroti (I wasn’t a fan of it but at least it was sorta smart) and in tdas he literally did nothing. He made it way too far even though he had a tiny brain.

Fr he’s a really smart character in ROTI and was one of my favorite characters but I hated what they did to him in all stars
Scott's suggestion that the Villainous Vultures should throw the challenge to get rid of Lightning as well as his switch of plans from sabotaging his own team from last season to sabotaging the opposing team in this episode seems to come from one of the season's original concepts, which would have involved Scott adapting to a new ruthless strategy after watching all previous Total Drama episodes during the interim between Revenge and All-Stars, but Scott being the main antagonist again was shelved in favor of Mal and him being simply more strategic than before was shelved in favor of making him the Iron Butt Monkey comic relief character with a romantic subplot with Courtney.
I feel like Owen and leshawna rally should have played a part in all stars. If Owen was there Alejandro might have been redeemed slightly because he hates Owen. And if leshawna was there I feel like she Gwen and Zoe would have made a great friend trio
Yeah but then they would have to get two villains from previous seasons because Owen and Leshawna are known as heroes.
My ideas about how to make all stars being great
1. Cast from 14 to 20 (Owen, Brick, Anne Maria, Cody, Dawn, Noah)
2. Episodes 13 to 26
3. Elimination Order
4. Mal
5. Challenge Names
Is much better to have Noah and Owen being casted for TDRR instead of TDAS in my opinion since we dont need to have their characters getting derailed into negative change of characterization.
Just replace Sam and Sierra with Anne Maria Brick Harold & Leshawna and you get a much better cast.

Let's talk how to make all stars become better
Number 1 - Cast
The cast should have 22 players (i would want Owen, Anne Maria, Brick (replacing Sam), Dawn, Leshawna, Cody, Justin, Trent and Harold), the heroes should be: Zoey, Mike, Cameron, Cody, Sierra, Owen, Lindsay, Brick, Dawn, Trent & Gwen. and the villains should be: Heather, Harold, Leshawna, Duncan, Scott, Courtney, Anne Maria, Lightning, Jo, Justin & Alejandro
Number 2 - Episodes
I say 26 instead of 13 episodes, (it should have more episodes instead) and more challenges on this season
Number 3 - Character Development
Courtney might hate Gwen during since she kissed Duncan in Season 3, Gwen tries to fix up things with Courtney and i want Gwen to break up with Duncan, and she should be with Trent
Lindsay, from a typical girl to a dumb pusher, she should do it better
Zoey winning every challenge, me: impossible
Number - 4 Mal
Mal... just... mal..., Where do i start with this man -_-
Mike after pressing the reset button to cure his multiple personality disorder is also horrible, he doesn't even give a crap, i mean what the flip?
Number 5 - Final Thoughts
For my opinion, in the future, Pahkitew Island should be first instead of All Stars, but if it was done, pahkitew players were gonna compete too i guess

I think that the G2 cast should have definitely gotten another season or two beforehand (For better or worse). It would have helped the audience build up more of an attachment to them and give them more experience in general, which would make the matchup against the G1 contestants feel a lot more fair.
I feel like that was the only issue with the 13 episode format. IMO Revenge of the island was the only season it didn’t work well. If they mixed in Pahkitew island characters(or just more episodes) then it would’ve made given us I think a better understanding of the contestants
I do agree that All Stars really could’ve been more than what it turned out to be.
I like how Guen is such a horrible person ON ACCIDENT. All the bad things she done on the series, she either never meant to do, or never meant any harm. I am not defending her, just always noticed that.
She always did it self consciously and always played victim 💀
To increase the cast, add Brick and either Owen, Harold, or Beth to the Heroes. On the Villains, add Justin and Anne Maria, this makes it so each generation gets 2 more contestants, 1 on each team.
Noah is also a good pick for heros

Imo just make them real teams. I don’t get why they acted like the show would be good if each side had players having the same mindset except for one person( Courtney on heroes and Gwen on villains. NOW we can have new and old people actually interact each other. After that, yeah just delete Mal and different casting
Nah, Owen would not be a good addition, he lasted too long in the 3 seasons, getting in the way, or being a bad "comic relief", I would say that Leshawna deserved more and if possible Harold and Tyler too

I would suggest adding Noah as a villian. He was teased of being a master manipulator back at the start of Island, and tapped into that during World Tour, so it would have been cool seeing him in All Star.
noah did not have good enough placement to make all stars he got bottom 5 in island and didnt make to merge in world tour

Duncan had the biggest derailment in All Stars in my opinion

Agreed, a lot of the Pahkitew characters are very one note but being able to expand on them, and keeping in some good ones like Jasmine and Max (hilarious imo) would be a plus. Also I want Dave to get treated the way Scott does in All Stars he deserves it and I could believe Courtney and Dave getting together WAY more than her and Scott

They should've had a bigger cast and more episodes to develop the storylines better, and a lot of people were snubbed. They could've had Owen be the first boot at least, or Sam. I'd even say if they were gonna bring back all the finalists Beth would've been interesting on the Heroes team, could have more development, and she would fit in with Zoey and Cameron.
I wish they didn't dumb down Lindsay and Lightning.
Gwen's attitude towards being on the villain's team was so out of character of her, in season 1 she was a baddie and dealt with Heather when she was her brutalist, always tormenting her and Gwen would clap back at her so I think she would've been able to handle herself on that team. Plus she liked pulling pranks with Duncan in season 2 so she has a bit of an edge as well.
Sierra could've had a chance to have better writing and development without Cody being there, she was a great competitor in S3 but they just reused that old storyline with Cameron.
Duncan and Jo's friendship would've been cool to see more of had she not been booted so early. It would've been cool to see Duncan and Heather work together again like did in season 1 and 2, or Duncan and Alejandro or Heather and Gwen, or Duncan and Scott, or Heather and Courtney.
I wish Courtney also had actual redemption, she could learn to stop putting the competition over her relationships with people, learn to make friends. I feel like the list thing was so random and written just to give her a reason to get booted, it took away from the development she was getting, and they could've written something else, make her another victim of Mal, show how evil he is.
I feel like after season 4, the villains got weird, like they became actual villains. Because everyone before did what they did for the money, Mal and Scarlett either had no real motivation to be evil or it wasn't over the money, so it didn't exactly fit into a Survivor-esque reality tv show. They're also all teens so seeing the conflicts be based around cattiness and typical highschool drama like the first season was more dramatic, interesting to watch, and realistic, not like Mal and Scarlett just trying to harm people.
i think that dawn would come to all stars(if they maked with more characters) like it would make mal more strategist, cuz she sees peoples auras and he needed to eliminate her

Also having so many finalists in was another issue. When you take away all final 2s you're left with
zoey, mike, sam, sierra, jo, Lindsay (although she probably doesn't count since she was put in instead of beth), Courtney and Scott. And it got pretty obvious that Sierra and Sam were there to be joke characters. There were just so little possibilities for a final 2, it was obvious that either Scott/Courtney/Zoey/Mike will get there.

I'd actually say the final two was obvious the second you hit the merge honestly, since All-Stars was really just the Mike and Zoey show. Compared to most other seasons (except World Tour, that merge's order was painfully obvious), this season's merge - and the elimination order that happened was obvious and frustrating.
Scott, Sam and Sierra were just comic relief.
Jo and Lindsay were eliminated almost immediately.
That leaves us with Courtney. Yeah... with how this season went, it was obvious that she was gonna go eventually.
@@kadachinova5302 You can tell that Courtney wasn't relevant to the narrative this season. Compared to like Gwen, who fued with Heather all season long, or even Cameron who had a lot of spotlight and attention paid to his challenge abilities despite being a balloon boy, Courtney this season didn't pay a significant role. Her only relevance was in being upset at Gwen, but even in that storyline Gwen felt more like the protagonist.
(4:10) BPD? Seems more like some form of DID to me, though it sort of also feels like it takes elements from OSDD-1. BPD doesn't manifest in alters as far as I know.
(8:00) One of my biggest problems with Mal is how it leans into the stereotype of the evil alter that is so often used to demonise plural people like Mike's system IRL. I love how ruthless Mal is and it's fun to watch but I agree it could have been handled better, and the framing of Mal as the evil alter stereotype puts me off from really loving him as much as I'd like to.
I especially have a problem with how Mal was defeated, by just some magical headspace reset button. That's not how that works at all, not even remotely, and the fact that several people essentially died just to get rid of Mal feels really gross. Headspace mechanisms like that can exist in real life, but they're almost always temporary at best and can usually be overridden so even in best case it just feels like a massive stroke of luck and plot contrivance, and I know Total Drama isn't exactly realistic, but this is done in such a way that it feels extremely out of character for Mike's system as a whole (rather than the character of any individual alter) and overly convenient.
The portrayal of Mike's system in Revenge was much better, and while most of his alters were far more one-note than IRL alters are, the fact that they're not demonised and are treated as genuine people is really nice to see and something you don't often get in plural representation, so it's even sadder that All Stars basically backtracked most of that and leaned heavy into harmful stereotypes with Mal.

I’ve seen some people critique mal not only for bad writing, but also ableism, as it plays into the “evil alternate personality” stereotype. Dissociative Identity Disorder is a defense mechanism in response to trauma- it doesn’t make sense for an “evil” personality to exist. Mal could have been a “protector” personality who believes that Mike’s personal relationships are harming him, or alternatively be so obsessed with Zoey and Mike’s relationship (believing that keeping that relationship strong keeps Mike happy and safe) that he sabotages everyone else in the competition in order to try and have her in the finale with him. He could even fail and end up facing one of the original cast instead, which could lead to some interesting conflict! Having the antagonist’s motivation be something other than “win the game for the money” would be much more interesting than what the show went with.

Mike did not have BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder) he had Multiple Personality Disorder, which is vastly different when you look at how Mike's alter egos actually had control, which is a 100% sign of MPD not BPD. Honestly, i don't know why Zoey and Mike made into the finals, first zoey: in TDROTI mike often lied to her about his personalities until he tells her that, but in all stars, there's a scene, where mal LITERALLY says: "he said "pal" not "mal", i think they forced zoey to not find out about mal later just to make a shocking review (which still doesn't work) also i think it was kinda ridicolus the fact that she didin't have ANY danger of getting eliminated, in all stars, the elimination works like this "you screw the challenge, you're eliminated", but every time the heroes win, zoey carried the team, and she wins 3 solo challanges in a ROW, and the 2 she didin't won someone was disqualified (duncan and cameron). And now for mal... Mike only was in the final because there was mal, he could get far in the competition but still get eliminated, also mal is not strong, because they basecally nerfed every other vilan, his motivations doen't make so much sense, also the finale, something that could work MUCH better, if a Gen1 have two Gen2 teammates and a Gen2 have two Gen1, because there could have so much character interactions and alliances but they don't make anything about, it's like every one know eachother.

Honestly I would have loved to see Dawn or B. I thick they would have worked well in the hero’s team and would have a rivalry against Scott since Scott was the reason they got eliminated in their original season. I also think Lashawna should have returned. They way she was in world tour was just sad. Her getting easily manipulated by Alejandro.
Scott's suggestion that the Villainous Vultures should throw the challenge to get rid of Lightning as well as his switch of plans from sabotaging his own team from last season to sabotaging the opposing team in this episode seems to come from one of the season's original concepts, which would have involved Scott adapting to a new ruthless strategy after watching all previous Total Drama episodes during the interim between Revenge and All-Stars, but Scott being the main antagonist again was shelved in favor of Mal and him being simply more strategic than before was shelved in favor of making him the Iron Butt Monkey comic relief character with a romantic subplot with Courtney.

My dream cast (ignoring introductions at certain points and original roles unless that role helps)
Heather, alejandro, and carlos. These 3 have their own arc, Heather will go before the rest but that will be after that plot point ends. Carlos would be the one to bully Heather through out the show with alejandro defending heather coming at the cost of the challenges. Heather would vote herself off in am effort to get away from Carlos but leaves with a recording that basically cusses him out and exposes a few secrets about him.
Anne maria, zoey, Duncan and mike. Mike does get his mal persona and both Zoey and Anne Maria notice off behavior, duncan immediately blurts out "m-m-mal!?" Which would cause this plot to vote Duncan out at some point but it would give us some information if zoey or Anne Maria press duncan for information. Duncan does a whole backstory thing and we see him even tell the girls to steer as clear as possible and mal doesn't bother to listen in but desides to rig the vote to vote out Duncan. Anne maria would go from rival to Zoey to supporter of mike, using this chance to act more like a supportive friend and having some nice momemts with mikes personalities. Zoey gets more moments with the normal Mike aswell.
Amy, samey, and dawn. Amy does bully same in order to humiliate her and dawn intern reads parts of amy's soul and sameys soul, every time amy mentions her mother, Dawn would read sameys soul when that happens and correct amy. Samey and dawn form a questionably platonic friendship (lets face it we wouldn't get same sex romances so im putting this here). Amy gets voted off first out of these 3 with samey actually going 2nd in ordrr to give dawn a shot at finals.
Justin, blaineley, jacques, and josee. These 4 are focused on being famous and finding some way to cheat, Justin would be the voice of reason having wisened up a bit from his previous appearances and even being a bit more attractive than before but not viewing himself as such, he would still cheat but only in small ways like spying on Chris and chef to figure outbthe next challenge. Blaineley would be on the show as a newly humbled star who wants to get her fame back but can't so she at least wants some money, i'd give her a romance with Justin whale also placing them on opposing teams. Now we and Jacques could actually be the ones to constantly get caught causing them both to be the first one to be voted off in the first episode as they weren't focused on being discrete.
Scott, courtney, amd Gwen. Gwen tries to be courtney's friend again in the hopes of forgiveness but Courtney won't have it but lile in the original it will happen with them being temporary friends until gwen sees the chart Courtney made. Duncan also has his moments here but hus main part is with mal. And Scott is just there to play his role he did before.
Cody, sierra, and cameron, Sierra has Cody here to act as her filter and to be voted off at some point Causing Sierra to latch onto cameron as her new obsession, Cameron does his mental evaluation of Sierra as a way of figuring out how to keep himself safe, also like Justin Cameron cokes back with a new look, he's slightly stronger being more wide and taller. Cameron would then vote off Sierra failing to find ways to keep her on task.
Emma and noah. I enjoyed their romance and I can see Noah and her entering that sale romance with Emma would try to keep things professional but fall into her lovey dovey habits which would at first deter Noah until he gets used to it.
Lightning would be the henchman to the villians.
And the final introduction is crimson, crimson would be introduced as an iver exaggeration of gwens goth typing, and I think she would mellow out finidmg a balance between her normal looks and her ungothed state. Sort of in a way to echo Gwen. I do see a friendship forming as well between Gwen, dawn and crimson.

One complaint I have about all stars is the lack of Owen appearances except for a short gag at the end. He won the first season and was in the following two. Also Noah.
Him Noah and Owen are much better picks to be casted as characters to compete in TDRR rather to have all 3 of their character traits getting ruined.

Justin deserved to be on the villain's team for being Action's main villain (for the first part, and a solid part of the second).

Justin should have been a villainous vulture instead of lightning. The only real “villainous” thing Lightning did was purposefully choose to go against Cameron in the finale, but even then that was just a smart strategy.
He did cause more eliminations than the entirity of Pahkitew's villains. He definitely would've been a solid choice if the season was bigger.
For reference, he caused four: Trent, Gwen, Izzy and Leshawna.
Pahkitew's villains (Scarlett, Dave, Sugar and Max), caused two. Between all of them. They were Ella and Jasmine, both caused by Sugar.

One thing that how I would change TD allstars, is the cast? I’ll keep almost all the same plus some new ones added to give it better variety!

That’s my best way of doing it since I had to even out both the heroes and villains sides so specific people had to be on certain teams like Courtney on the villains team and making sure Owen and brick make the list also I hade to remove characters like Sam since he’s not allstar worthy plus other characters such as Cody, beth, DJ & Dakota who didn’t make the list and their aren’t enough villains so I hate to make certain cuts I wanted to add characters like Bridgette and Harold for 2 reasons 1, I love their characters and 2, I think they deserve better placements in world tour and to make up for it, I decided to include them in Allstars, & yes that goes for leshawna too. Again that’s my thoughts so I think 20ish cast-members competing in allstars would have been a much better season for me in my book! Rather then just 14 which I think is pretty bland so that’s my thoughts on it.

Actually, I’ve got something even better! The main story of the actual season is still the same with some changes and with the addition of new characters giving the writers the possibility to develop new friendships, conflicts, and relationships. The episodes are the same as the original with 4 more episodes (2 Aftermath specials and 2 additional challenges) and new scenes added. There's also a four-part Aftermath epilogue/special called "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding", which serves as a season special/finale to transition the season into Total Drama Pahkitew Island much like the specials from Island and Action.
Total Drama All-Stars Rewrite provides examples of:
Abhorrent Admirer: Ezekiel towards Anne Maria (though she shows some slight reciprocation when Ezekiel is restored to normal), as well as Chef towards DJ's momma in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding".
Abusive Parents: Duncan reveals in "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding" that after he was sent off to adult prison, his father disowned him and banned him from ever returning home in order to keep his job on the police force.
Accidental Kiss: Noah has one with Dawn in "Food Fright". Also doubles as Dawn's First Kiss.
Act of True Love: In "My Big Fat Total Drama All-Stars Wedding", Blaineley offers to give a million dollars to Geoff if he calls of his wedding with Bridgette. What does Geoff do? Give the million to the fans instead.
Adaptational Badass: Duncan and Gwen both get this.
The finale shows Duncan being strong enough to knock down trees and even beating Mal.
Gwen is an overall more active character, hunting down Chris and Chef during a challenge when Chris pushes her too far, and even making it to the Final Three, winning in the finale.
Adaptation Expansion:
A few contestants who weren't in the canon All-Stars are added to the group, namely Owen, Noah, Dawn, Brick, and Anne Maria.
Due to the above mentioned additional contestants, as well as two Aftermath specials, the number of episodes in the season is expanded from 13 to 18. The finale is spit into a two-parter, while two completely original stories are introduced (the 5th and 14th episodes).
The fic's version of the season's intro (detailed in the first episode) uses the 60-second version from the previous 4 seasons instead of the 20-second one used by the canon season. As a result, many new scenes are added, including cameos from non-participating contestants like Izzy and Ezekiel.
Adaptational Explanation:
Owen and Noah's reasons for continuing to star on reality TV (as mentioned in The Ridonculous Race) are explained here as the result of Chris making them do so in exchange for giving them more money to help Noah fund Dawn's animal shelter.
Some of the more difficult-to-write-out Idiot Ball moments are given better justification here. For instance, with Heather's decision to not take the immunity idol with her, she says in a confessional that her pants pockets weren't deep enough to hide it and that she refused to store it in Victoria's Secret Compartment ("I still have some dignity left on this show.").
Many of the original season's Plot Holes are filled in too. For instance, how Mal got a hold of Courtney's chart is explained to be that he tripped her and stole it from her pants pocket while helping her get back up.
Alejandro's new voice in the season is explained in "Singin' in the Pain" to be caused by his vocal cords still in the process of recovery after his incident with the volcano and the robot suit.
Adaptational Intelligence: Many of Zoey's Idiot Ball moments from canon are removed, and she is FAR less naïve to the threat of Mal.
Adaptational Jerkass: Despite canon never indicating otherwise, here, Cody admits that his I Just Want My Beloved to Be Happy schtick during Island was entirely fake (and actually an attempt to get closer to Gwen) and that he had actually stolen Gwen's bra rather than receiving it as a gift for helping her hook up with Trent.
Adaptational Nice Guy: While Duncan had several Pet the Dog moments in canon as well, here, he's much more considerate of Gwen. Rather than frequently neglecting Gwen's feelings and using her as a way to make Courtney jealous, here, he tries to help Gwen whenever he can, not wanting Gwen to feel burdened by the issue. He also stops the fight between Courtney and Gwen as opposed to in canon, where he happily claimed they were fighting over him to make himself look like a bad boy.
Adaptation Relationship Overhaul:
In All-Stars, Duncan and Gwen's relationship has clearly lost it's spark, and ending with Gwen breaking up with Duncan when it's apparent that he's obsessed with getting Courtney's attention. Here, while they face occasional road bumps, their relationship holds strong.
Gwen and Courtney's friendship also has a different fate than in canon. In All-Stars, Courtney betrayed Gwen, intending to have her eliminated second to last despite promising they'd go to the finale together. This ends with Gwen breaking their friendship, and despite Courtney's efforts to restore it, they part on bad terms. Here, despite Courtney's betrayal from canon remaining, Gwen and Courtney eventually rekindle their friendship again.
In the show, Duncan and Noah rarely interacted, and when they did, it was always negative. Here, their relationship is closer to that of Vitriolic Best Buds, the two mocking each other and often engaging in Snark-to-Snark Combat, but still enjoy each other's company.
Adaptational Villainy: Mal is much worse here than he was in canon.
Adapted Out: Sam doesn't compete in the season and is replaced with Brick (although many of Sam's moments are given to Owen instead). The first Aftermath reveals he was offered to, but refused out of loyalty to Dakota.
All Girls Want Bad Boys: Played With in regards to Gwen and Duncan's relationship.
Honestly Jo should have made it further than she did, she and Lightning were the best part of the season
They could’ve totally expanded on Sierra. Her obsession with Cody could still be there, she could totally just call stuff Cody Jr. and talk about him, but show off other sides of her character too. But they didn’t, we just got Cameron being subjected to her Cody obsession instead and that being literally all she did (?)
I really hate how the show portrayed Mike's Dissociative Identity Disorder, In both seasons and his integration was just awful.

The main issue with All-Stars was that they brought back fan-favorite characters and didn't know what to do with them. Any of them. If you're gonna bring back characters for a second time, there should be some purpose behind it. All of the characters are either pointless, have 1 dimension story arcs, or are just completely brainless in this season and it gets frustrating to watch.
All Stars originally was going to have Owen,Noah,Cody,Harold,Leshawna,Justin,Brick,and Anne Maria (This is shown in the trailer for the season) and the season would’ve been way better with this cast easily since this would likely mean the 26 episode format was the original and this would allow Noah,Brick,and Anne Maria to Recieve more development and also give Leshawna a better showing than Action and World Tour.

@@pepsicannot Yeah that take is incorrect, this format was used for prior seasons and not to mention there is literally an all star highlight featuring Leshawna as if she was to be included. Owen and Noah were also likely ultimately scrapped for the Ridonculous Race.

Yeah. I agree with you about Sierra. So one way I would fix her character in the season is either eliminate her or Cody in the previous season that came before Revenge of the Island and All Stars, World Tour. Giving Cody the early boot however would not sit well with her, so the only solution I have so that the writers can learn how to properly use her come All Stars is to eliminate her early on in World Tour.
Yeah. This season should have expanded on her fangirl side and knowledge of the show, honestly. Sierra would have been far more intriguing that way.
The best solution for Mal and Duncan is to have Duncan become a jerk trying to beat Mal, and have everyone assume he’s bullying mike. Then have Mail clown Duncan I’m a challenge to show how competent he is. Vote Duncan off and have him be calling out warnings as he is taken away
If Lindsay were there, they should’ve had Lindsay walk to the arts and craps centre and find the idol. Heather talks to her but Lindsay doesn’t budge. Alejandro does talk to Lindsay and she says only if u eliminate Heather with me. Alejandro agrees and both of them vote off Heather. WAY BETTER than just Heather dumping it next to a rock with Alejandro seeing it. Heather saw Alejandro 2 seconds right after she dumped it there. What I would’ve done if I was a show writer.
One of the only things I liked about All Stars was Gwen and Courtney's friendship. Hell half the fandom starting shipping them cause of this. And yeah the back track of Courtney's arch was complete emotional and tonal whiplash. Low key though I totally ship Gwen and Courtney, a couple of best friends burned by too many boys deciding to just support each other and be a power couple, I'm all for it.

I think this season suffers from not letting its characters be smarter or more competent. This is usually done in Total Drama in general so that the villains can get away with things and so they don't immediately get voted off and are able to stay to cause more drama (with Heather in TDI, Courtney in TDA, etc.), but it's never been done to this extent before. Many of the characters got nerfed so that Mal could be more believable as a villain, Alejandro is more easily intimidated by Mal than he should have been, Duncan got much more obsessed with his bad boy status and more childish and just insecure in himself, Zoey was more clueless than she had to be, Lindsay was even dumber than she usually is, like serious how could she forget what "pushing" means? I liked one joke where in the very beginning Courtney says she's not making some mistake again and Lindsay's like oh my god, you know how to stop making mistakes, can you teach me? I don't know why but I still remember that joke from the start of All Stars and I think Lindsay should have been used for this kind of humor, instead of just made frustratingly dumb. Heather didn't get a lot of screen time in All Stars, I've noticed that every season she's in but doesn't get as much screen time in is automatically thought to be a worse season (both Action and All Stars have her in them but she's not as present, whereas Island and World Tour have her as one of the main characters and are much better rated by fans). Sierra's far crazier, more delusional and more unrealistic and we never really see her use as many of her skills other than in situations where she's doing something unrelated to the challenges, like when she weaves a basket out of weed to put Cameron into and another basket where she puts her two-headed pet thing.
Anyway, her knowledge of all the competitors could have made her into a much better asset to the heroes team, the villains could have been plotting to take out the hero team in some way and she might have been the only person able to see through that because she knew the villains' profiles, personalities and stuff about them that a super fan of the show would know and was thus able to discern what they were plotting. She could still be a liability because she sees Cameron as Cody and the whole obsession with Cody thing, but I'd prefer if the show went down the route of having her become more insufferable by having her be unable to fix her broken phone and have her slowly grow insane without internet, showing her having other weaknesses that aren't just Cody or some animal she's mothering.
The point of an All Star season is to see how the different characters interact with each other and I think it would have made sense to write the characters at their best, all of whom have already competed before and thus would be more weary of the rules and more skilled, and not at their worst just so Mal can be a thing. I don't think the Mal plot line is necessarily bad, just that it could have been a sub plot rather than a main theme. In fact, I'd prefer to see more of Gwen and Courtney developing a friendship and Courtney unlearning some of the negative characterization of previous seasons and learning from Gwen how to be a better friend, since a lot of fans didn't like the complete shift from TDI Courtney to TDA Courtney, I think this would be a good way to get fans to like Courtney again and have her come back to some of her TDI characteristics, like being more of a moral goody two shoes than just a whiny, mean person who can't accept things not going her way or constantly finding ways to betray her friends. Side note, it really doesn't make sense that Mal can hear so many of the confessionals and also how exactly he got Courtney's chart from the confessional. Did she just leave it behind? Did he steal it? The show didn't really explain that and it would have been far better if the chart were revealed later on or just not go with that plot line at all. It would have been a nicer story line, had Courtney and Gwen developed a much more genuine connection and a better lesson for the younger audience watching too.
I would have also preferred to see the villains working together a bit more than just constantly back stabbing and arguing with each other, even though I recognize that this was supposed to give the hero team an advantage since, let's be honest, the villains team were objectively better players. If you dissect the heroes' and villains' individual members, Lindsay, Sam and Cameron are the weakest players (all heroes) and Scott and Lighting are good generally but lack brains (both villains). The villains team was stacked with people who are great competitors. Heather, Alejandro, Duncan, Joe and Gwen (later Courtney) have always been strong players. This isn't to say that Sierra, Zoey and Mike are bad players, on the contrary, they're all pretty strong, but they're usually the ones carrying their teams (along with Courtney, later Gwen).
Anyway, all of this is to say that:
1. If the hero team had been more stacked with better players, then the villains wouldn't have to be as nerfed, making them let their egos get the best of them or having them bicker much more than necessary. This could be done replacing Lindsay, Sam and maybe even Cameron with someone else who is better than them at the competition. Lindsay and Sam could be replaced with literally anyone else, they don't even have to be a powerhouse (it could be Beth, Owen or DJ from the OG cast or Brick, Dawn or B from the TDRI cast). Cameron could be replaced with someone with similar brains but more brawn or other powers (B, who might not be as smart as Cameron but is still intelligent in his own right and is probably more creative and observant than him, or even Dawn, who might not be physically fit or as overtly intelligent but makes up for it with her literal psychic powers that allow her to see others' auras and therefore predict what kind of person they are or what they're feeling, which can be a form of hyper emotional intelligence and observation skill, which is an interesting character trait the writers could have used). This would give us more satisfying villains and stronger heroes.
2. If Mal were less relevant to the plot and were not treated as the main villain, none of the players would have to be nerfed as much as they are, for him to have a believable rise to power in the competition. Also, some problems like how the hell did he go unnoticed when breaking all that stuff, how he got Courtney's chart and even how he suddenly took over Mike's body with just one hit with a shovel, when there have been numerous times in Revenge of the Island where Mike was hit and it didn't end up with him taking over Mike, wouldn't have to be answered.
3. If the season contained less character assassinations, like that of Duncan, Courtney (who already went down hill on Action and World Tour), and to a degree Sierra and Alejandro, it would have been far more interesting as the characters would be duking it out as their real selves, not some debuffed version.
I have other thoughts but I think this is enough lol.

Also I would add that having 20 players and 26 episodes(10 from Gen 1 and 10 from Gen 2) would make up for a much better season with more room to develope. So the players from Gen 1 could be characters that competed in all 3 previous seasons or won 1 of them. Plus Sierra who was a powerhouse in WT.

We could have Leshawna and Anne-Maria play the role of Gwen "on why the heck am I on the villains team", it could also make for very funny moments with Leshawna beating the heck out of almost everyone on that team. Have Leshawna also help Gwen with Courtney, earning more interactions with her. Owen being the 1st boot for obvious reasons. Courtney not having that chart or atleast maybe have it for only the people that she doesn't actually like. Heather having a more clever elimination. Also have most of the characters (or atleast some of them) make cameos like Revenge of the Island or arrive at the finale for one big episode or an important one (like the 100th, where they could have no elimination) There were just so many wasted possibilities sadly...

I thought about doing a video like this yeah you had some great thoughts. This season in concept should have been amazing if they just let the characters play like they normally would instead of making them all stupid for the sake of cheap forced drama and so Mal could seem like a threat when he's one of the all-time worst villains. Also it should have been 24-26 episodes not 13, just either have a couple aftermaths or simply non-elimination episodes so we get more time with these hardcore players.

I feel like Dawn could’ve been a huge part of discovering Mal as well and helping Zoey in an effort to bring Mike back.
Fact: Brick, Anne Maria, Owen, and Cody were originally scripted to be in All-Stars which would’ve been cool to see, especially Owen. But was unfortunately scrapped.
the original All-Stars line-up included Owen, Cody, and Brick, but last minute decisions had them replaced with Gwen and Sam, and the cast cut down to 14. However Owen still managed to get a cameo in the finale, while Cody was frequently mentioned by Sierra with his face appearing in her hallucinations. The same line-up also revealed plots that didn't make it into the season such as Courtney getting revenge on Heather, Duncan getting revenge on Courtney, the continuation of Zoey's commando persona, and Scott creating a new and improved strategy after analyzing past Total Drama episodes.
Owen was dropped because according to rumors, Scott McCord declined to voice him for a whole season.
Cody was dropped because they thought his relationship with Sierra had been fully played out in World Tour.
Brick was replaced by Sam because the latter had "more drama potential".
Anne Maria was also a part of the original cast before being replaced by an Island competitor (allegedly Gwen).
And then there's a trailer from late 2011 (two months before Revenge of the Island aired and almost two years before All-Stars actually aired).
I think it would've made much more sense for Zoe to have known about Mal before everyone else and tried to cover it up to protect Mike. Maybe Mike confesses that he's having problems and asks Zoe to keep it quiet because he can get it under control. Maybe they could even have the Mal thing come out and see distrust between everyone and Zoe when they find out she was covering it up.
I wish that they can just do a total drama all stars remake to make it better especially sense if they pull it off right it could be the best season
In general the all stars season could have been way better if pahkihtio was the next season after revenge with changes to make it good
Then have a 2nd season featuring the 2nd and 3rd generation cast to develop them more
And then make all stars as the final season an all out competition between all generations and bigger cast as well
im sure somebody has poin ted this out, but Mike doesn't have BPD, which stands for Borderline Personality Disorder, he has DID/OSDD, one of the two, we never got a full background on how his headmates formed, but he has something like or has Dissociative Identity Disorder.
I feel like one change that would've been nice is not making all the previous villains useless to prop up Mal
I know that a lot of people talk about how they don’t know why the creators dumbed down Scott but I think it may have something to do with his injuries at the end of revenge of the island
How I would've done All Stars:
1. Bigger cast, Keep the original 14, But add Brick and Anne Marie, and then Owen and Leshawna (If not Owen, Then Easily Geoff)
Hamsters: Lindsey, Brick, Owen, Mike, Zoey, Cameron, Sierra, Sam, Courtney
Vultures: Lightning, Joe, Duncan, Heather, Alejandro, Anne Marie, Scott, Leshawna, Gwen
Ep.1 - Sierra Eliminated (Hamsters) - There was really no purpose for her character either way this season, so why not eliminate her first. Have her miss Cody that much.
Ep. 2 - Lightning Eliminated (Vultures) - Same reason as Cannon.
Ep 3. - Sam Eliminated (Hamsters) - Again have him cost the team the challenge, or even utilize Courtney's semi evil side to place blame on Sam, Causing him to go home, which initiates the idea of a team swap.
Ep. 4 - Lindsey Eliminated (Hamsters) - She costs the challenge. Cause of Heather or Courtney / Duncan and Courtney switch teams.
Ep. 5 - Joe Eliminated (Vultures) - Due to Heather, Courtney, Leshawna, AND Gwen.
Ep. 6 - Owen Eliminated (Hamsters) - Due to costing the challenge, though it was Mal's fault, and Mike (Mal), Zoey, Cameron, and Brick creating a Revenge cast Alliance.
Ep. 7 - Anne Marie / Leshawna Eliminated (Vultures) - Due to them constantly arguing throughout The episode.
Ep. 8 - MERGE, Non-elimination.
Remaining Cast: Brick, Mike, Zoey, Cameron, Duncan, Heather, Alejandro, Scott, Gwen, and Courtney.
Ep. 9 - Cameron Eliminated - Due to Medical Injuries, Mal shows himself to Cameron before being sent off. Heather Finds the Invincibility statue and shows Courtney Due to their small alliance. They also recruit Scott. Duncan finds out who Mal is and tells Zoey. She sort of believes but wants to see proof first.
Ep. 10 - Heather Eliminated - Due to Alejandro having overheard the Conversation, steals the statue and uses it. Courtney and Scott become a couple and in the same breath, forgive both Duncan and Gwen, allowing them to continue their relationship.
Ep. 11 - Duncan Eliminated - Due to Mal, figuring out Duncan's and Zoey's intentions, sabotages Duncan and gets him eliminated due to a purge round. Gwen and Zoey now team up to take Down Mal.
Ep. 12 - Alejandro Eliminated - Mal won Immunity, Zoey fully believes Mike to be mal, Alejandro was voted off simply due to being an outsider to the others and also a challenge Threat.
Ep. 13 - Brick / Mal Eliminated. - It was another Double elimination and a Purge round. Brick sacrifices himself and his chance to win, in order to hold off Mal, so Mike can finally take control over his personalities. Zoey has a touching send off with Mal and Brick, everyone giving a salute to him for his good deeds.
Ep. 14 - Non Elimination. Scott begins to doubt his relationship with Courtney and wants to backstab her to get to the finale. He also sees Gwen as a non threat and plans to hopefully take out both Courtney and Zoey.
Ep. 15 - Gwen Eliminated - She saw through what Scott was attempting to do and decided since she had no chance to win at the challenge to lose. This being a purge round, meant she sadly had to be eliminated.
Ep. 16 - Scott Eliminated. - Zoey, with the help of Courtney was able to win the challenge and Zoey's sole vote was for Scott to go home.
Ep. 17 - FINALE, Zoey vs Courtney.
You can easily add a few non elimination episodes to help certain things feel more fleshed out, So easily roughly 20 - 22 episodes would be perfect for this season.
Honestly if it were up to me I would have brought back B instead of Sam to continue his rivalry with Scott because I honestly think Scott was irrelevant until Courtney started hitting on him and also I would have loved to see B get his revenge
Seeing how Mike , Cameron and Zoey are on natural terms with Scott I bet B wouldn't mind him either .

I'd Scrap The Clingy "Only Mike & Zoey club" Cameron, the "Punchbag" Sam, and substitute them with Brick "The Bottom Top Simp for Jo" and Dawn "Aura Reader" that could have like, helped a lot, with Mal, like, actually reading his aura.
And...Lindsay, funny at all but...i think Geoff, Owen or Noah could have fit more the Comic Relief Character
Nobody ever seems to mention this, but I really think Sierra being without Cody could work really well. Unfortunately, it was executed awfully in this season.
One thing that pissed me off was that they had every past winner in the season (save for beth for some fuckin reason?) despite everyone knowing they wont win again they could have included characters like harold, cody or brick

Maybe it's becouse I wasn't a kid anymore when I first saw it but I thought they were trying to brutally hamer it in. We respected Alejandro and Duncan so they made them weak to make Mal seem like a worthy apponent. But instead of him coming off as a overpowering force it just feels forced in my opinion.
I think it could have easily been fixed if they made Mal a mystery to the audiance as well. Have him still do everything but don't show it was him. You can still have duncan recognize his voice, and have it revealed only after Alejandro hands Zoey the evidance. They can show him with the baggy eyes still as a clue. Maybe have Zoey doubt their relationship becouse he seems off. I dunno I just think it would be more interesting and a little less obvious. An I don't have to see Alejandro cower under him for no reason.
With a few exceptions, I kind of wish All Stars dealth with the cast members that didn't get a lot of screentime in thier original shows; some examples being Katie, Sadie, Trent, Noah Dawn, and/or B just to name a few. I felt All Stars dealt with too many of the characters that we had already seen more than enough; the exception being the Revenge of the Island characters since they only have one show with each other anyway. Maybe what I'm thinking of would be called Total Drama Underdogs instead but still.
The point of this season is all star characters, so anyone with low screentime isn’t making the cut
Actually the reason mal is a villain is just the fun he’s willing to take drastic measures just to win, such as killing someone or heavily injuring them. That’s the reason why he’s the most craziest total drama villain and the most strongest
Gwen's character type in All Stars was dumb. In S1 she was a loner. And while it was revealed that she would've preferred to have friends and not be a loner, she STILL is a goth. Right? In S5, nothing about the way Gwen acts would indicate that she's a goth. She's a completely different character. I mean, why was she so obsessed with befriending Courtney? Picking her flowers? Ffs man. My biggest issue with All Stars is that none of the characters (from S1-3) act characteristically. This is probably because there are different writers for S5 than S1, and none of them seemed to do any research
IMO, the above complaint only actually benefitted Scott's character. It was great seeing Scott become more a of a neutral character, rather than an antagonistic one.
