HOT TAKE All Stars and Revenege would have been better if everyone was aware ahead of time about Mike's personalities. It was so annoying how in All Stars most of the cast acted oblivious to Mike's personalities even though he is a returning contestant.
He girlfriend acted like she didn't know what was going on even when he told her he had DID last season and his best friend who was the first one to discover and tried to help him acted like he didn't know mike was acting not like himself it was so stupid
To be honest, Alejandro in All-Stars felt like he died in the robot suit but they needed him in the show, so they got a look-alike, made him watch a brief summary of World Tour, told him to be extra arrogant and cocky and ignore his other characteristics, taught him 5 Spanish words, 3 of them being ‘cha cha cha’ and told him to not interact with anyone except Heather and when she gets eliminated; instead of making alliances and being social, distance yourself from very contest. Actually, every contestant felt like a paid actor, a really bad paid actor, except for Mal so it can be his season.
Mal being so cliche never made him an interesting villain. Both Heather and Alejandro were treated pretty bad this season as well they were truly at their best in world tour. I completely forgot Courtney said that she and Alejandro kissed offscreen💀
Even though I think Sundae Muddy Sundae is a worse episode, The Obsta-Kill Course perfectly describes everything wrong with TDAS. Alejandro and Scott, in their first seasons, were strong manipulators. In WT, you see Alejandro's flattery fuel the egos of the other contestants to the point it cost them the game. Scott, meanwhile, managed to throw challenges while convincing his tribe that he is trying to help them win. That is a masterclass manipulator right there. Hilariously, the only TDAS contestant to not get worse was Lightning, but that is only if you count his ROTI ending as canon. The most (at the time) TD winner returning would definitely make Lightning feel like he was invincible, fueling his own arrogance.

Also, continuing to showcase Zoey's obliviousness to Mal when its painfully obvious. And Gwen told Courtney she had to vote for herself in order for to forgive her. The challenge was also bad because it was basically going all over the island for ingredients to make an ice cream sundae. The sundaes were supposed to be for the interns because Chris forgot to feed them. The interns didn't even get the sundaes cause Chris decided to have the contestants eat their own sundaes for immunity because Courtney tried to feed the interns a sundae with bird vomit on it.

When all stars came around mal was introduced and he had no weaknesses and he was basically the best amongst everyone. From there every other villain was useless and couldn’t do anything.
I never hated Zoey the way others have but I agree she could be naive, not smart or both in All Stars. It made sense in Revenge because she didn’t know who she was competing alongside and didn’t know of Mike’s personalities. I can buy folks not knowing about Mal since he had been repressed for years but Mal being dumb at hiding his true self did bend the suspension of disbelief a good amount.
Continuity error. She may have meant “This is the furthest I’ve ever made it without debuting halfway through.”, but it’s probably just a continutity error.
They don’t usually keep a lot of continuity between seasons anyway. Especially the winners or finalists of the contestants. Heather never brings up how she was robbed in TDWT ever.

Funny thing is I think Mal could have worked way better as a villian if Alejandro continued to play against him as a foil, or at the very least if Alejandro was able to show his proof of Mal existing before his elimination, Forcing Mal to actually drop the whole "Im mike" bit and force him to actually play the game instead of dick riding Zoey to the finale. Cause personally thats the one thing Mal is missing that made oast villians more interested a Foil someone who forces them to actually try or at the very least a character who doesnt fall for their shtick.
My most hated episode is actually The Bold and the Booty-ful. There are many episodes that may annoy, or frustrate us, but I've never before come across an episode where no matter how many times I've got through it, I virtually remember/get _nothing_ out of it! All I remember is Mal forming an alliance with Scott, proceeding to give him a concussion, and Gwen wiping a Chris painting with feces. Gross. Unfunny. Unremarkable. Unnecessary. _Boring._ I don't actually mind Sundae Muddy Sundae. I don't necessarily _agree_ with the direction they took Courtney's character in, but it's actually perfectly in-character for her to backstab others for a chance of victory, and she was really entertaining and humorous throughout the episode too. She felt like a well-adjusted version of her TDA self again, which I can understand isn't for everybody, but at least it's y'know, functional of a plotline by All-Stars standards. Also, Alejandro is an ICON in the episode you chose. Definitely saves it from the pits for me. I like how in spite of usually being villainous, he takes on a psuedo-hero role in the face of Mal ("I MUST stop this MONSTER!" mmmm PREACH IT king!), and proves that no matter how bad a guy he can be, he at least does not tolerate dishonor and injustice in others. He also delivers my favourite line of the season, and a perfect summation of it - "How can she not see the truth?! *sighs* Maybe they're MADE for each other!" If it weren't for Mal being such a terribly written character, the feud between them actually works really well on paper.
If you switched the elimination order, it will be a much better season. I mean, Lindsay reaches the finale for once, and also Jo, Heather get to make it far again too. Mike and Zoey are the first boots, etc. And to make the reversed elimination order better, switch Lightning with Courtney (so Lightning isn't in the final 2 again), Sierra with Scott (I don't want Sierra to make it far again, she's annoying), and also Duncan with Alejandro (so Duncan gets to be a pre-merge boot for once). The new elimination order: 14th: Mike (this way, Mal never freakin exists to begin with) 13th: Zoey 12th: Sierra 11th: Gwen 10th: Lightning 9th: Duncan Merge 8th: Cameron 7th: Alejandro 6th: Scott 5th: Heather 4th: Sam 3rd: Jo Runner-Up: Courtney Winner: Lindsay Please like if you think this elimination order is way better than the canon one. 👇
I do partly agree. Here’s my quick thoughts on the first three seasons: Island was solid with the occasional writing hiccup, Action had its moments but was the most disappointing and World Tour, while good, is honestly way too over hyped and, for me personally, over rated. It also brought about Sierra, who’s one of my least favorite characters of all time (not just from the show but from any series and piece of media). Let me make this clear. World Tour isn’t a bad season. But it can feel like folks make it out to be perfection or better than it actually is. Maybe that’s just me. Who knows? Each season has its good aspect to it (even Pahkitew as much as that season is the weakest that were around before the reboot). The spin off DramaRama doesn’t count and isn’t canon. I did enjoy the reboot and its seasons for the most part.

Technically Mike and Vito have both displayed a noticeable amount of strength; Mike held back the mutant gophers in the mine episode and Vito punched a shark. However, Vito's strength is kind of a gag and Mike was probably having an adrenaline rush, so it's understandable that a lot of people feel weird about taking Mal's strength seriously.
Season five of TD (aside from season six) was literally the worst season. Like they just threw away any likability and character development that happened in season one. Now you can argue that season two and a bit of season three kinda started it. But season five was the nail on the coffin that killed my favorite character(s) personalities and development.
Thinking about it now, maybe it was a good call not putting Owen, Cody, or Brick in all stars. I wouldn't want to see Cody return to A Gwen simp, or Owen becoming TDA Owen 2.0...
Honestly, this entire stretch of episodes from this to the Final 4 could be considered the worst episodes in TD history. It all just depends on who your personal favorite character is. I love this series, but I don't think Total Drama has ever really been that great with continuity. An example of this is Leshawna in "If you can't take the Heat..." She offers to make a pineapple chutney for the cooking challenge, and then in an argument with Heather like 3 minutes later she says this: "Ooh, I'm a team player alright, but I'm also allergic to pineapples!" ...what? If you're allergic to pineapples, why did you offer to make a pineapple-themed dish 3 minutes ago? Take Lindsay also. In Action, one minute she's smart enough to strategically pick people to vote off and anger Courtney, and the next she's forgetting how doors work in "Dial M for Merger." One moment she's leading Team Victory to a win in spite of DJ's issues in WT, the next she's calling Tyler, her own boyfriend, the wrong name for the 25th time. I know this is just for comedy's sake, but it's still a bit weird. Even this line from Sierra in WT episode 14: "Gwen's had a crush on Duncan from season 1, and he's always had something for her too." I believe the fact that Sierra, the Total Drama superfan, is saying this is supposed to imply that this is true, but I don't think it is. They were clearly pursuing relationships with Trent and Courtney back then, and they barely had anything to do with each other in season 1 with the exception of the horror movie challenge. At best, they respected each other, but they did not have feelings for each other in Island '07. That's not even getting into how the show can't decide whether or not Gwen is mad at Trent for the whole burying incident in Season 1. I'm not saying all of this to forgive All Stars, the season is still really bad, but issues with consistency isn't just an All Stars problem.
I think the two biggest issues with All Stars are the chosen cast of characters and the 13 episode nonsense. You can't properly have a good season in a "character driven show" be only 13 episodes. Revenge got lucky and fortunately the reboot used the same characters for two seasons.
I always hated Mal as a villain. He was so much like Max, but at least Max was so bad that he's funny. Mal was just sad and pathetic, his plans were always mediocre and only fell through due to plot armor and everyone else being too focused on other things like the Gwen/Duncan/Courtney drama. Like, the way that he interacted with with Cameron when he got too injured to compete. 'Oh, I'm not Mike. I'm Mal. And I let you fall. 😈😈😈😈' like that's so cringy, like a little boy trying his hardest to make his babysitter upset. EVERYONE knew Mike has MPD by the time the season started. Is it really that hard to figure out that maybe -just MAYBE- he has some kind of evil personality that didn't show up until this season, especially with what Duncan and Alejandro were saying? And Duncan might have not been a good guy, but he was NEVER some manipulative liar who would go around telling lies to get someone out of the game. Mike was on a team of good guys who were almost always separated from the villains, and everybody's stuff was just randomly breaking? Who else is there to turn to other than the guy who literally had an issue keeping his personalities under wraps the last season? Cameron and Zoey's blind trust was so annoying as they were only suspicious when it happened to THEM and them only. Zoey literally saw Mike trip Cameron but just... didn't think anything of it because of his half-assed explanation? And how the hell did it take DAYS for Mike to travel his brain to collect his other personalities, only to press a damn button and then suddenly not have MPD at the last second. That's not how that works! I could go on and on about this, but I won't.
And Mal's schemes don't even make any sense, especially him trying to manipulate Cameron into trusting him, but at the same time, he tries to get him vote off.

But Max was so open to being a bad guy that it negated all his efforts and made it hilarious when he both succeeded with Scarlette's help and failed miserably. While Mal's efforts to stay hidden but still being VERY obvious made it lose it's impact and made it very annoying.
The obsekil corse isn’t really the worst, heck it’s not even my least favorite. It’s a mediocre episode. There are some things I like but that’s like not by much. The only reason I can think of people not listening to Alejandro is well, he isn’t really trustworthy especially his elimination. So it’s not that people are dumb down. It’s more they don’t believe him. SMS is often the worst to some people which is why Kill-corse isn’t the lowest. Also Cortney is more polarizing rather than a fan favorite.
Mal is my favorite character because I'm into op and badass characters Which also means Alejandro is my number 2, and ho ho ho, they did my boy DIRTY in this episode. This season was really focused only on Mike's own shit, and that nerfed everyone else by far, but still I enjoyed it a lot, even if it's not really making sense (When you think about it the show was always bizarre and unrealistic since season 1's evil pets in the wild, season 3's Ezekiel, and season 4's whole radioactive situation. Not to mention season 6's mechanic island and Sugar's existence in particular

I get your points but if i had to pick a least favorite episode of Total Drama it would most likely be from Pahkitew Island mainly because the characters in Pahkitew are so badly written the worst Pahkitew characters for me are Sugar,Amy,Dave and Leonard and the best Pahkitew characters are Beardo,Ella,Sky,Jasmine,Sammy and Shawn i don't know which Pahkitew Island episode i would choose as the worst one the episode you picked The Obsta-Kill Course is a bad episode for all the reasons you mentioned in this video but in a weird way i still somewhat like the episode because of these characters we have fallen in love with yes they are dumbed down by a lot and so many other things but i still somewhat like it does that make any sense i don't know if it does make sense but with Pahkitew Island all of those characters are new characters that we haven't seen in any Seasons before and Sugar and Dave were in so many episodes that i feel it's the weakest Season of Total Drama and would therefore have the worst episode of Total Drama
I feel similar. The main argument for AS being worse is that it ruins beloved characters, and that _is_ arguably worse than just starting with bad characters like PI. But at the same time, I can't help but dislike Pahkitew more. I think a lot of it is that I can at least see where the writers wanted to take the characters in AS. They never stuck the landing, but I usually understood what they were _trying_ to do whereas the characters in PI had no clear direction. It may be a bit shallow to judge AS based on what it _could've_ been rather than what it is, but that potential is still much more interesting than the PI cast dicking around the entire season. AS also has the benefit of having familiar characters. So even if they were written very poorly, it's more immediately engaging than characters that we have no attachment to doing equally boring or stupid things.
You know, All Stars had potential but honestly, they chose the wrong characters and not even having at least 26 episodes the first three seasons of Total Drama have and they actually sticked to continuity, but in All Stars they ignore the fact the Courtney was dating Duncan at the time during World Tour when he kissed Gwen, and they made Zoey so oblivious when she should’ve been aware of Mike’s personality disorder by now. They made Lindsay dumb to the point she forgets how do one of the most simplest things during the first challenge: Push the baby stroller. Duncan wanting to maintain his “bad boy” persona and they also turned Scott into an idiot. One of the worst episodes in Total Drama in my opinion is The Aftermath: II and oh boy everyone except DJ and Trent was insufferable during the episode. Basically Gwen was painted as the bad one for breaking up with Trent and accused of having Trent throw challenges for her even Owen even though it was partially his fault, he was the one who gave Trent the idea. Katie and Sadie even formed an anti-Gwen Club over something that wasn’t even her fault. Trent thankfully revealed he decided to throw challenges for Gwen (What’s really Gwen’s fault is that she didn’t communicate with Trent about his number 9 obsession and that she wanted to win challenges fair and square, they would’ve still broken up during Action but they could’ve at least TRY to work things out) Courtney even got mad at her for “hooking up” with Duncan even though Gwen and him were just friends during their time in action. But Geoff, oh boy Geoff! He was the most insufferable as he decided to feed Gwen to piranhas, and he continued to be a jerk until the third aftermath where Bridgette, Owen, Leshawna and Heather snapped him out of it by putting him on the electric chair

They should make a second all stars season but actually make it good. What if they did some from TDI and others from TDI:2023. Personally it'd be hilarious to Scary Girl and Izzy team up. And maybe Heather and Julia. I mean they are capable of bringing back old characters like **spoiler** Owen. Duncan and Courtney (cameo).
I don't know about the _worst_ episode since I feel like evaluating the seasons as a unit is more appropriate, but there are a few from Pahkitew that I could argue were worse than "The Obsta-Kill Course". For example, you could completely remove "This Is The Pits!" without losing anything because it didn't develop any of the characters or their relationships, and that's just narratively wasteful. The first half of the finale is mostly boring, but the second half essentially makes up reasons for Dave to be angry just so the last 5 minutes have some tension. And "Scarlett Fever" completely broke my suspension of disbelief. Having a radioactive island with mutants is arguably dumber, but making your dumb idea into a twist that barely factors into most of the episodes and turns one of the characters into a murderer is worse imo. (it's also just very bad at balancing the tension and the humor)

I think the weird part about the bad of All Stars was that it wasn't even that derailed from prior seasons: All the bad elements introduced in Action, World Tour and Revenge were there. It just didn't have anything good with them either.
I actually found this episode mid. The challenge was creative, and there was drama going on, but big part of it was stupid, and your point is more than valid. And in my opinion the worst episode ever is either "Jurassic Fart" or "Wheel of Vomit". They are unbearable to watch for me.
My least favorite episode has to be Aftermath II from TDA. Every time I see it, I always feel a sudden urge to skip it. Almost everything about Aftermath II frustrated me to no end. It's embarrassing when Izzy is the only good part of the episode. My biggest issue with this episode is how much they demonize Gwen. They over here acting like she committed a crime or something. Meanwhile everyone else just meat-rides Trent all because he played a sad song. Geoff already sucked as usual, but this episode also made me lose a lot of respect for Bridgette as well. Not only does she side against Gwen, but she also proved to be a liar. She claims she didn't write that letter to Gwen, but we all know damn well that she did. Yeah Gwen should've communicated more, but Trent was the one acting crazy and throwing challenges. He owned up to his mistakes in the end, but it still doesn't save this episode from being a miserable trainwreck and not the good kind. Honestly Gwen should've went full Kendrick-mode on everyone in that episode. Like there's no way Island Gwen would've let all that slide. Aftermath II dead-ass sucks.
6:45 THIS MOMENT RIGHT HERE EXPLAINS WHY I DISLIKE ALL STARS SO MUCH Alejandro had the opportunity to outplay the whole game in a whole new way, he could have easily been the villain again by making himself out like the weaker choice since he can’t use his legs BUT NOOOOOOOOOO, we had to get Mike, one of my all time favourite characters BECAUSE of his development in season 4, and turn him into the villain because reasons I would have loved to see Alejandro make it to the final 4 or maybe even the final 3 just by being able to fly under the radar and be so unassuming and until this episode, he very well could have still manipulated his way through the game and Mike could have still been a great character But as it stands, Alejandro got served at his absolute lowest point ever just because they decided to make Mal a character at all, taking one of my favourite characters, the best villain of the series (yeah I’m going there, fight me), and completely ruined both of them and their development just because they wanted to do something different
honestly, if alejandro stayed one more episode because he actually idk,, SAID SOMETHING TO EVERYONE ABOUT MAL DIRECTLY, he would’ve lost in a much more understandable (still very dumb) way with the sundae challenge but then again this season was rough
speaking of the reboot/revival (which btw has some continuity from the previous seasons like them mentioning owen being a winner to the second set of casts to mccarthy or whatever her name is in races) the fact it even gets released this month when its a year plus since seasons 1 AND 2 of the reboot have been out and on youtube for all to see is such a weird and dumb choice
The only positive thing I can say what happened to Alejandro in this episode is the special credit ending where he gets saved and together with Heather.
ok, but Siera could have played a bigger role because if she was a die hard fan of total drama, and she was taking a break for a season and coming back, she would do her research and probably notice mal appear in one of ROTI episodes. But she was just a punching bag like scott and sam and linsey and heather. She just had so many potential ruined.
I actually rlly like All Stars. Most ppl complain about how stupid and out of character they make the characters but thats actually the reason i like this season so much. I think it’s rlly funny how stupid they made the characters and Mal is actually my 2nd favourite character. This episode is prob my fav All Stars episode, i burst out laughing watching it. Also, unpopular opinion but I h8 Alejandro so I’m glad he got elimin8d. Ppl say that they don’t want another TD season with the og cast bc it would probably end up mischaracterising more characters, but thats exactly y i want another season! I want to see how stupid and how much they can mischaracterise my fav characters can get. I think the worst TD episode was Jurassic Fart lol

The first season I ever watched was all stars cause it was the only one available at my grandma’s house so when I was able to watch the other seasons I was surprised to see how much better they are
A lot of it has to with how badly they derailed/mischaracterized the cast. If this was just a normal season with a fresh cast of characters, the response would be completely different.
Mal can be strong even with that body for the condition of DID, like the other's Mike personality's with they're hability's. But yeah, its true that dosen't make sense Alejandro telling Mal he has incriminator footage about him, Alejandro is way more inteligent than that.
I just think All stars make every character excistent weak, and because Mal hasn't really appeared since then, he didin't suffer the concequences of being more weak.
Yeah, im with you, Mal character can it be better written, its true he says and do some things than not make sense and he was way to easy defeated if is so strong like the show make him be. Pahkitew island episode 9 Hurl and go seek was horrible in every single way 😭 I have so many nitpicks with this episode Beginning of the episode was decent but thats as far as it goes. Sugar wins immunity and a lot of filler within 5 minutes. I’m gonna now analyze every character in the episode Max: This in my opinion is his weakest episode, unfunny, doesn’t do anything and just became a more narcissistic person. Scarlett: This was the episode before the big reveal and wow is it horrible. There’s no build up and the execution was bad in all aspects she apparently found out that the island is artificial and could be controlled via remotes but all she does is do an evil laugh and he comedically evil 😭✋🏻 very disappointing. Sugar she was alright for the most part. That chuggy chugs jungle is just NOT it, her manipulating Dave was good but it doesn’t help since he gets voted out in the EXACT EPISODE. Overall she wasn’t bad here, in fact I’d go and say she’s one of the better ones in this ep but that isn’t really saying much. Shawn, I’d say he’s the only good one here (I’m getting to Jasmine just wait). Shawn carried the episode from being an unwatchable episode to the worst episode which isn’t saying much. Shawn’s apology/showing love for Jasmine was nice and the showcase of him not knowing what to do when the “zombies” arrived was shown really well and him sacrificing himself for Jasmine was cute. This is Shawn’s best episode by FAR. Overall the saving grace of this episode. Jasmine: Okay so initially why I’d say Jasmine wasn’t good this episode is the whole reason why she’s mad at Shawn I know it’s a nitpick since it was shown throughout episodes 5-9 but cmon Shawn hits you with a dueling stick (since that’s the challenge) and you don’t talk to him/ignore him for 4 episodes? Which is 1/3rd of the season 😭 . Jasmine is generally a decent character but her reasoning on hating Shawn felt odd. Didn’t enjoy her presence this episode. Saved the best for last Sky and Dave. I’m gonna tackle Dave first since I’ve got more to say about him. He was honestly a consistent and dare I say amazing character from episodes 1-8 just to be completely demolished in episode 9. I know Shawn gave him bad advice but it can’t be this bad. Lines from Dave such as “Can we leave fiction aside for a second” “Can I vote for 4 people” “Yuck I think you just broke my gross out meter” showed that Dave was the straight guy to everyone’s madness. It’s just so disappointing how this episode is what made people hate him he was clingy annoying and just generally shocked me on how he acted. Sky: But- but nothing Sky had so many chances to reveal to Dave that she had a boyfriend but what does she do? She falls for him and misleads him throughout the season just for him to fall for her and when she decides she doesn’t want him she becomes all harsh and becomes the good guy? No.. Sky is so annoying this episode alongside almost every character here. She even cheated on him in the final episode. And STILL she can’t make up her mind if she likes him or not. I really like Sky but she wasn’t all too good this episode And this is me not tackling the challenge the dull interactions and the way the island hasn’t been explored till this VERY episode when there was 3 episodes left 😭. 4/10 and that’s me being somewhat generous.

To be honest, Alejandro in All-Stars felt like he died in the robot suit but they needed him in the show, so they got a look-alike, made him watch a brief summary of World Tour, told him to be extra arrogant and cocky and ignore his other characteristics, taught him 5 Spanish words, 3 of them being ‘cha cha cha’ and told him to not interact with anyone except Heather and when she gets eliminated; instead of making alliances and being social, distance yourself from very contest. Actually, every contestant felt like a paid actor, a really bad paid actor, except for Mal so it can be his season.
Alejandro in All Stars physically still looks the same as he did in World Tour.
Mal being so cliche never made him an interesting villain. Both Heather and Alejandro were treated pretty bad this season as well they were truly at their best in world tour. I completely forgot Courtney said that she and Alejandro kissed offscreen💀
Even though I think Sundae Muddy Sundae is a worse episode, The Obsta-Kill Course perfectly describes everything wrong with TDAS. Alejandro and Scott, in their first seasons, were strong manipulators. In WT, you see Alejandro's flattery fuel the egos of the other contestants to the point it cost them the game. Scott, meanwhile, managed to throw challenges while convincing his tribe that he is trying to help them win. That is a masterclass manipulator right there.
Hilariously, the only TDAS contestant to not get worse was Lightning, but that is only if you count his ROTI ending as canon. The most (at the time) TD winner returning would definitely make Lightning feel like he was invincible, fueling his own arrogance.

@@IconicMedusa Sundae Muddy Sundae is bad because it backtracks on Courtney's character with her secretly planning on betraying Gwen despite them becoming friends again. Also, continuing to showcase Zoey's obliviousness to Mal when its painfully obvious. And Gwen told Courtney she had to vote for herself in order for to forgive her. The challenge was also bad because it was basically going all over the island for ingredients to make an ice cream sundae. The sundaes were supposed to be for the interns because Chris forgot to feed them. The interns didn't even get the sundaes cause Chris decided to have the contestants eat their own sundaes for immunity because Courtney tried to feed the interns a sundae with bird vomit on it.

I never hated Zoey the way others have but I agree she could be naive, not smart or both in All Stars. It made sense in Revenge because she didn’t know who she was competing alongside and didn’t know of Mike’s personalities. I can buy folks not knowing about Mal since he had been repressed for years but Mal being dumb at hiding his true self did bend the suspension of disbelief a good amount.
Another thing that didn’t make sense to me is when Courtney said being in the final 5 was the longest she stayed but made it to the final 4 in action
Continuity error. She may have meant “This is the furthest I’ve ever made it without debuting halfway through.”, but it’s probably just a continutity error.
They don’t usually keep a lot of continuity between seasons anyway. Especially the winners or finalists of the contestants. Heather never brings up how she was robbed in TDWT ever.

Funny thing is I think Mal could have worked way better as a villian if Alejandro continued to play against him as a foil, or at the very least if Alejandro was able to show his proof of Mal existing before his elimination, Forcing Mal to actually drop the whole "Im mike" bit and force him to actually play the game instead of dick riding Zoey to the finale. Cause personally thats the one thing Mal is missing that made oast villians more interested a Foil someone who forces them to actually try or at the very least a character who doesnt fall for their shtick.
My most hated episode is actually The Bold and the Booty-ful. There are many episodes that may annoy, or frustrate us, but I've never before come across an episode where no matter how many times I've got through it, I virtually remember/get _nothing_ out of it! All I remember is Mal forming an alliance with Scott, proceeding to give him a concussion, and Gwen wiping a Chris painting with feces. Gross. Unfunny. Unremarkable. Unnecessary. _Boring._
I don't actually mind Sundae Muddy Sundae. I don't necessarily _agree_ with the direction they took Courtney's character in, but it's actually perfectly in-character for her to backstab others for a chance of victory, and she was really entertaining and humorous throughout the episode too. She felt like a well-adjusted version of her TDA self again, which I can understand isn't for everybody, but at least it's y'know, functional of a plotline by All-Stars standards.
Also, Alejandro is an ICON in the episode you chose. Definitely saves it from the pits for me. I like how in spite of usually being villainous, he takes on a psuedo-hero role in the face of Mal ("I MUST stop this MONSTER!" mmmm PREACH IT king!), and proves that no matter how bad a guy he can be, he at least does not tolerate dishonor and injustice in others. He also delivers my favourite line of the season, and a perfect summation of it - "How can she not see the truth?! *sighs* Maybe they're MADE for each other!" If it weren't for Mal being such a terribly written character, the feud between them actually works really well on paper.

If you switched the elimination order, it will be a much better season. I mean, Lindsay reaches the finale for once, and also Jo, Heather get to make it far again too. Mike and Zoey are the first boots, etc. And to make the reversed elimination order better, switch Lightning with Courtney (so Lightning isn't in the final 2 again), Sierra with Scott (I don't want Sierra to make it far again, she's annoying), and also Duncan with Alejandro (so Duncan gets to be a pre-merge boot for once).

I do partly agree. Here’s my quick thoughts on the first three seasons: Island was solid with the occasional writing hiccup, Action had its moments but was the most disappointing and World Tour, while good, is honestly way too over hyped and, for me personally, over rated. It also brought about Sierra, who’s one of my least favorite characters of all time (not just from the show but from any series and piece of media). Let me make this clear. World Tour isn’t a bad season. But it can feel like folks make it out to be perfection or better than it actually is. Maybe that’s just me. Who knows? Each season has its good aspect to it (even Pahkitew as much as that season is the weakest that were around before the reboot). The spin off DramaRama doesn’t count and isn’t canon. I did enjoy the reboot and its seasons for the most part.

the thing that pisses me off the most is that Mal has no reason to be as smart/strong as he is, correct me if I’m wrong but Mike was never like super strong when Mal wasn’t involved, so where tf does Mal get the sudden power boost from?? Technically Mike and Vito have both displayed a noticeable amount of strength; Mike held back the mutant gophers in the mine episode and Vito punched a shark. However, Vito's strength is kind of a gag and Mike was probably having an adrenaline rush, so it's understandable that a lot of people feel weird about taking Mal's strength seriously.
Season five of TD (aside from season six) was literally the worst season. Like they just threw away any likability and character development that happened in season one. Now you can argue that season two and a bit of season three kinda started it. But season five was the nail on the coffin that killed my favorite character(s) personalities and development.
Thinking about it now, maybe it was a good call not putting Owen, Cody, or Brick in all stars. I wouldn't want to see Cody return to A Gwen simp, or Owen becoming TDA Owen 2.0...
Honestly, this entire stretch of episodes from this to the Final 4 could be considered the worst episodes in TD history. It all just depends on who your personal favorite character is. Are you the MOST mad because:
- They made AL an idiotic wimp just to make Mal look stronger
- They derailed ALL of Gwortney's development just to tourture Courtney for the 500th time
- They cheated Gwen out of the game despite being the only competent player left simply because she already has an Ending

I love this series, but I don't think Total Drama has ever really been that great with continuity.
An example of this is Leshawna in "If you can't take the Heat..." She offers to make a pineapple chutney for the cooking challenge, and then in an argument with Heather like 3 minutes later she says this: "Ooh, I'm a team player alright, but I'm also allergic to pineapples!"
...what? If you're allergic to pineapples, why did you offer to make a pineapple-themed dish 3 minutes ago?
Take Lindsay also. In Action, one minute she's smart enough to strategically pick people to vote off and anger Courtney, and the next she's forgetting how doors work in "Dial M for Merger." One moment she's leading Team Victory to a win in spite of DJ's issues in WT, the next she's calling Tyler, her own boyfriend, the wrong name for the 25th time. I know this is just for comedy's sake, but it's still a bit weird.
Even this line from Sierra in WT episode 14: "Gwen's had a crush on Duncan from season 1, and he's always had something for her too." I believe the fact that Sierra, the Total Drama superfan, is saying this is supposed to imply that this is true, but I don't think it is. They were clearly pursuing relationships with Trent and Courtney back then, and they barely had anything to do with each other in season 1 with the exception of the horror movie challenge. At best, they respected each other, but they did not have feelings for each other in Island '07.
That's not even getting into how the show can't decide whether or not Gwen is mad at Trent for the whole burying incident in Season 1.
I'm not saying all of this to forgive All Stars, the season is still really bad, but issues with consistency isn't just an All Stars problem.

I think the two biggest issues with All Stars are the chosen cast of characters and the 13 episode nonsense. You can't properly have a good season in a "character driven show" be only 13 episodes. Revenge got lucky and fortunately the reboot used the same characters for two seasons.
I always hated Mal as a villain. He was so much like Max, but at least Max was so bad that he's funny. Mal was just sad and pathetic, his plans were always mediocre and only fell through due to plot armor and everyone else being too focused on other things like the Gwen/Duncan/Courtney drama. Like, the way that he interacted with with Cameron when he got too injured to compete. 'Oh, I'm not Mike. I'm Mal. And I let you fall. 😈😈😈😈' like that's so cringy, like a little boy trying his hardest to make his babysitter upset. EVERYONE knew Mike has MPD by the time the season started. Is it really that hard to figure out that maybe -just MAYBE- he has some kind of evil personality that didn't show up until this season, especially with what Duncan and Alejandro were saying? And Duncan might have not been a good guy, but he was NEVER some manipulative liar who would go around telling lies to get someone out of the game. Mike was on a team of good guys who were almost always separated from the villains, and everybody's stuff was just randomly breaking? Who else is there to turn to other than the guy who literally had an issue keeping his personalities under wraps the last season? Cameron and Zoey's blind trust was so annoying as they were only suspicious when it happened to THEM and them only. Zoey literally saw Mike trip Cameron but just... didn't think anything of it because of his half-assed explanation? And how the hell did it take DAYS for Mike to travel his brain to collect his other personalities, only to press a damn button and then suddenly not have MPD at the last second. That's not how that works! I could go on and on about this, but I won't.
And Mal's schemes don't even make any sense, especially him trying to manipulate Cameron into trusting him, but at the same time, he tries to get him vote off.

But Max was so open to being a bad guy that it negated all his efforts and made it hilarious when he both succeeded with Scarlette's help and failed miserably. While Mal's efforts to stay hidden but still being VERY obvious made it lose it's impact and made it very annoying.
The obsekil corse isn’t really the worst, heck it’s not even my least favorite. It’s a mediocre episode. There are some things I like but that’s like not by much.
The only reason I can think of people not listening to Alejandro is well, he isn’t really trustworthy especially his elimination. So it’s not that people are dumb down. It’s more they don’t believe him.
SMS is often the worst to some people which is why Kill-corse isn’t the lowest. Also Cortney is more polarizing rather than a fan favorite.

This season was really focused only on Mike's own shit, and that nerfed everyone else by far, but still I enjoyed it a lot, even if it's not really making sense

I feel similar. The main argument for AS being worse is that it ruins beloved characters, and that _is_ arguably worse than just starting with bad characters like PI. But at the same time, I can't help but dislike Pahkitew more.
I think a lot of it is that I can at least see where the writers wanted to take the characters in AS. They never stuck the landing, but I usually understood what they were _trying_ to do whereas the characters in PI had no clear direction. It may be a bit shallow to judge AS based on what it _could've_ been rather than what it is, but that potential is still much more interesting than the PI cast dicking around the entire season.
AS also has the benefit of having familiar characters. So even if they were written very poorly, it's more immediately engaging than characters that we have no attachment to doing equally boring or stupid things.
You know, All Stars had potential but honestly, they chose the wrong characters and not even having at least 26 episodes the first three seasons of Total Drama have and they actually sticked to continuity, but in All Stars they ignore the fact the Courtney was dating Duncan at the time during World Tour when he kissed Gwen, and they made Zoey so oblivious when she should’ve been aware of Mike’s personality disorder by now. They made Lindsay dumb to the point she forgets how do one of the most simplest things during the first challenge: Push the baby stroller. Duncan wanting to maintain his “bad boy” persona and they also turned Scott into an idiot.
One of the worst episodes in Total Drama in my opinion is The Aftermath: II and oh boy everyone except DJ and Trent was insufferable during the episode. Basically Gwen was painted as the bad one for breaking up with Trent and accused of having Trent throw challenges for her even Owen even though it was partially his fault, he was the one who gave Trent the idea. Katie and Sadie even formed an anti-Gwen Club over something that wasn’t even her fault. Trent thankfully revealed he decided to throw challenges for Gwen (What’s really Gwen’s fault is that she didn’t communicate with Trent about his number 9 obsession and that she wanted to win challenges fair and square, they would’ve still broken up during Action but they could’ve at least TRY to work things out) Courtney even got mad at her for “hooking up” with Duncan even though Gwen and him were just friends during their time in action. But Geoff, oh boy Geoff! He was the most insufferable as he decided to feed Gwen to piranhas, and he continued to be a jerk until the third aftermath where Bridgette, Owen, Leshawna and Heather snapped him out of it by putting him on the electric chair

I don't know about the _worst_ episode since I feel like evaluating the seasons as a unit is more appropriate, but there are a few from Pahkitew that I could argue were worse than "The Obsta-Kill Course".
For example, you could completely remove "This Is The Pits!" without losing anything because it didn't develop any of the characters or their relationships, and that's just narratively wasteful. The first half of the finale is mostly boring, but the second half essentially makes up reasons for Dave to be angry just so the last 5 minutes have some tension. And "Scarlett Fever" completely broke my suspension of disbelief. Having a radioactive island with mutants is arguably dumber, but making your dumb idea into a twist that barely factors into most of the episodes and turns one of the characters into a murderer is worse imo. (it's also just very bad at balancing the tension and the humor)

The last three episodes of TDAS (11, 12 13) are the worst in my opinion. Literally they are all God awful to watch.
I actually found this episode mid. The challenge was creative, and there was drama going on, but big part of it was stupid, and your point is more than valid. And in my opinion the worst episode ever is either "Jurassic Fart" or "Wheel of Vomit". They are unbearable to watch for me.

My least favorite episode has to be Aftermath II from TDA. Every time I see it, I always feel a sudden urge to skip it. Almost everything about Aftermath II frustrated me to no end.
It's embarrassing when Izzy is the only good part of the episode.
My biggest issue with this episode is how much they demonize Gwen. They over here acting like she committed a crime or something. Meanwhile everyone else just meat-rides Trent all because he played a sad song.
Geoff already sucked as usual, but this episode also made me lose a lot of respect for Bridgette as well. Not only does she side against Gwen, but she also proved to be a liar. She claims she didn't write that letter to Gwen, but we all know damn well that she did.
Yeah Gwen should've communicated more, but Trent was the one acting crazy and throwing challenges. He owned up to his mistakes in the end, but it still doesn't save this episode from being a miserable trainwreck and not the good kind.
Honestly Gwen should've went full Kendrick-mode on everyone in that episode. Like there's no way Island Gwen would've let all that slide.

BUT NOOOOOOOOOO, we had to get Mike, one of my all time favourite characters BECAUSE of his development in season 4, and turn him into the villain because reasons
I would have loved to see Alejandro make it to the final 4 or maybe even the final 3 just by being able to fly under the radar and be so unassuming and until this episode, he very well could have still manipulated his way through the game and Mike could have still been a great character
But as it stands, Alejandro got served at his absolute lowest point ever just because they decided to make Mal a character at all, taking one of my favourite characters, the best villain of the series (yeah I’m going there, fight me), and completely ruined both of them and their development just because they wanted to do something different
honestly, if alejandro stayed one more episode because he actually idk,, SAID SOMETHING TO EVERYONE ABOUT MAL DIRECTLY, he would’ve lost in a much more understandable (still very dumb) way with the sundae challenge but then again this season was rough
I think literally half of the episodes in all trash could be considered some of the worst episodes in the shows history
I agree with this episode being bad but Sundae Muddy Sundae is the #1 worst
speaking of the reboot/revival (which btw has some continuity from the previous seasons like them mentioning owen being a winner to the second set of casts to mccarthy or whatever her name is in races) the fact it even gets released this month when its a year plus since seasons 1 AND 2 of the reboot have been out and on youtube for all to see is such a weird and dumb choice
The only positive thing I can say what happened to Alejandro in this episode is the special credit ending where he gets saved and together with Heather.

ok, but Siera could have played a bigger role because if she was a die hard fan of total drama, and she was taking a break for a season and coming back, she would do her research and probably notice mal appear in one of ROTI episodes. But she was just a punching bag like scott and sam and linsey and heather. She just had so many potential ruined.
I actually rlly like All Stars. Most ppl complain about how stupid and out of character they make the characters but thats actually the reason i like this season so much. I think it’s rlly funny how stupid they made the characters and Mal is actually my 2nd favourite character. This episode is prob my fav All Stars episode, i burst out laughing watching it. Also, unpopular opinion but I h8 Alejandro so I’m glad he got elimin8d. Ppl say that they don’t want another TD season with the og cast bc it would probably end up mischaracterising more characters, but thats exactly y i want another season! I want to see how stupid and how much they can mischaracterise my fav characters can get. I think the worst TD episode was Jurassic Fart lol
I still think Scott is the best part about All-Stars. He's hilarious and his relationship with Courtney (while pretty pointless) was cute for a little bit.
Mal is probably the only villain who needs more help from the writers to look almighty and evil incarnate than Junko Enoshima...
The first season I ever watched was all stars cause it was the only one available at my grandma’s house so when I was able to watch the other seasons I was surprised to see how much better they are

A lot of it has to with how badly they derailed/mischaracterized the cast. If this was just a normal season with a fresh cast of characters, the response would be completely different.
Mal can be strong even with that body for the condition of DID, like the other's Mike personality's with they're hability's. But yeah, its true that dosen't make sense Alejandro telling Mal he has incriminator footage about him, Alejandro is way more inteligent than that.
I just think All stars make every character excistent weak, and because Mal hasn't really appeared since then, he didin't suffer the concequences of being more weak.

Yeah, im with you, Mal character can it be better written, its true he says and do some things than not make sense and he was way to easy defeated if is so strong like the show make him be. Its a character that can be asome and do a lot of play but if was treat horriblely, like every character in All stars.

There is the fanfic Total Drama All Stars Rewrite which is much better with great writing and characters that never competed like Dawn, Noah, Brick, Anne Maria and Owen instead of Sam.
I don't see why would they include Dawn when Sam, Brick and Anne Maria made it slightly further than her.

I have so many nitpicks with this episode
Beginning of the episode was decent but thats as far as it goes. Sugar wins immunity and a lot of filler within 5 minutes. I’m gonna now analyze every character in the episode
Max: This in my opinion is his weakest episode, unfunny, doesn’t do anything and just became a more narcissistic person.
Scarlett: This was the episode before the big reveal and wow is it horrible. There’s no build up and the execution was bad in all aspects she apparently found out that the island is artificial and could be controlled via remotes but all she does is do an evil laugh and he comedically evil 😭✋🏻 very disappointing.
Sugar she was alright for the most part. That chuggy chugs jungle is just NOT it, her manipulating Dave was good but it doesn’t help since he gets voted out in the EXACT EPISODE. Overall she wasn’t bad here, in fact I’d go and say she’s one of the better ones in this ep but that isn’t really saying much.
Shawn, I’d say he’s the only good one here (I’m getting to Jasmine just wait). Shawn carried the episode from being an unwatchable episode to the worst episode which isn’t saying much. Shawn’s apology/showing love for Jasmine was nice and the showcase of him not knowing what to do when the “zombies” arrived was shown really well and him sacrificing himself for Jasmine was cute. This is Shawn’s best episode by FAR. Overall the saving grace of this episode.
Jasmine: Okay so initially why I’d say Jasmine wasn’t good this episode is the whole reason why she’s mad at Shawn I know it’s a nitpick since it was shown throughout episodes 5-9 but cmon Shawn hits you with a dueling stick (since that’s the challenge) and you don’t talk to him/ignore him for 4 episodes? Which is 1/3rd of the season 😭 . Jasmine is generally a decent character but her reasoning on hating Shawn felt odd. Didn’t enjoy her presence this episode.
Saved the best for last
Sky and Dave. I’m gonna tackle Dave first since I’ve got more to say about him. He was honestly a consistent and dare I say amazing character from episodes 1-8 just to be completely demolished in episode 9. I know Shawn gave him bad advice but it can’t be this bad. Lines from Dave such as “Can we leave fiction aside for a second” “Can I vote for 4 people” “Yuck I think you just broke my gross out meter” showed that Dave was the straight guy to everyone’s madness. It’s just so disappointing how this episode is what made people hate him he was clingy annoying and just generally shocked me on how he acted.
Sky: But- but nothing Sky had so many chances to reveal to Dave that she had a boyfriend but what does she do? She falls for him and misleads him throughout the season just for him to fall for her and when she decides she doesn’t want him she becomes all harsh and becomes the good guy? No.. Sky is so annoying this episode alongside almost every character here. She even cheated on him in the final episode. And STILL she can’t make up her mind if she likes him or not. I really like Sky but she wasn’t all too good this episode
And this is me not tackling the challenge the dull interactions and the way the island hasn’t been explored till this VERY episode when there was 3 episodes left 😭. 4/10 and that’s me being somewhat generous.

Total drama all stars would be better if the back tracked with some story arcs and allow the villains to thrive.
