Just remove your bandages at the start and bleed out then boom, your wounds and broken leg are gone due to Indefatigable. Do note that your Indefatigable will be on cooldown then for the next 7 days.

What do you think of the new negative trait, Burn Ward Patient? It covers your entire body in burns, and basically leaves you helpless for a long time, but you gain a whopping 18 points. If you somehow survive long enough, you're like reborn as a superhuman, you're basically Joshua Graham from Fallout New Vegas. I managed to pull it off in one solo game, after a few attempts. It requires a lot of patience. You will be spending a lot of time sitting next to a sink cleaning wounds, cleaning dirty bandages, and rebandaging wounds.

This trait is s tier. Have done multiple playthroughs with it. Even with slow healer all your burns heal by the 5th or 6th day even without stuffing yourself. You lose like 3 pounds at most and there is usually enough food in the first house, but if not you only have to risk it looting a neighboring house. Then you just hunker down and watch life and living for 6 days. If the helicopter event comes you just stay indoors and away from windows with low volume on a TV and the zombies won't even path to you. Its literally free points. Hopefully the first home has a few painkillers because if you take gym goer you can just chug painkillers constantly then workout. If you start with weak/unfit/very underweight with gym goer and hardy you have. 75% boost to strength/fitness and can get it to around 4 but if you don't have painkillers it will be midway to 3.

@@AImpatientMan is an ironic name for a strat of sitting around for 6 days.
Personally, I tend play variations of 6 months later, so camping in one place is useless for my playthroughs and the lack of mobility and damage is definitely something to consider for me.

Broke leg suffers massively from RNG syndrome. For example if you choose to spawn in Riverside, and you spawn in the Gated community, its a S+ trait for free 8 points, but if you spawn in the trailer park, its pretty much a death sentence.

  • @lampka3

I actually found out that with injured trait you might get an bandaged injury that is healed immediately, basically giving you a free sterilized bandage. Higher chances with fast healer, while lower with slow healer. So i suggest checking the bandaged injury at the beggining of the run if you start with it.

Broken leg and injured are amazing traits. You can loot 3-4 houses and then hold up- watch TV, work out and read books.
What makes them good is the simple fact that they are 12 points worth of positive traits that just... Go away.
Spend some of those points on fast healer and just chill/sleep through the couple weeks in game you need to heal up. Especially starting in say.mm.. Raven Creek. Those apartments have all the water and food you need and books galore. Loot and clear the building slowly and carefully- floor by floor. Once you have it secure you are all set. Just move the loot to an apartment up a floor or two and barricade the bottom floor with tables and such. Now you can grind some levels, exercise, watch TV and chill till you're ready to venture out.
    That's just me though!

Injured spawned me in with a burn on both legs once, obviously I had no way of surviving that, I couldn't even out-jog shamblers and burns take forever to heal. So it can end up being an immediate game-ender trait too. So it's a bit of an RNG of whether it's practically free points or more lethal than Broken Leg :p

If you think a burned leg is bad, wait till you try their new trait, Burn Ward Patient. It covers 100% of you're body in burns, but you gain a whopping 18 points, so it's an extremely high risk trait for a high reward if you manage to endure long enough for all wounds to heal.

Ok, just gonna drop my opinions on this.
Self destructive, ok, I agree, B but IF you have literature set to extremely rare. Otherwise, goes to S tier in my book. Free points for me, since I play on survivor, and books are everywhere. Also, am I the only person to think that gaining sadness is harder than losing it? Literally, read a book and you're gonna be fine. Sure, you might get bored, but outside your boredom decreases, so don't just sit indoors all day.
Broke Leg in F, ok, I agree, but for me it's B-C if you use the following combo: Injured, Broke Leg, Agoraphobic, Fast Healer, Adrenaline Junkie.
Fast Healer cancels out Injured because the injuries are gonna go away in like 5 hours of in-game time. Seriously, what the hell? It's kinda overpowered hahah. Agoraphobic with Adrenaline Junkie make you SPEED outside, and it also increases the speed even if you're limping. It makes going through houses much more feasible. This combo is very great (took me 5 in-game days to be able to sneak and run, still kinda limping but adrenaline junkie makes it easy), however if you don't use it, broke leg goes to f.
Also, someone made a guide about all the traits and what they do in detail. You might consider looking at this and maybe reworking some locations. docs.google.com/document/d/1DWTq0-zJITW2SZb4YfgHZgp0rxh9Ct1R2MQfENoz6Uw/edit

Was refreshing your channel waiting for the video drop. Very happy to see the negatives getting some affection.
For your report on Fearful, it actually can trigger during any state of Panic, but the chance and loudness of which you scream is determined by how panicked you are.
Butterfingers is indeed a rare chance. It's one of those traits you might pick, forget about, and then suddenly drop something. It's a sneaky boi. However, fun fact: Butterfingers does not trigger if you are standing still, nor if you aren't holding something in your hands. So if you practice putting your weapons into your holster or on your back when you're not using them, you won't worry too much about it.
Regarding your criticism of Paranoia, I see your point of view about getting complacent. I think this might warrant nudging its value up a couple points to make the annoyance more worthwhile.
Loved the video and appreciate the exposure you're giving to the mod. :)

my favorite way to play is with Deprived, Injured, Broken Leg, and Burn Ward Victim. I find that having to play slow and cautiously while being under intense pressure is a looooot of fun. I play it with the First Aid: Expanded mod, where infections can easily be a death sentence. it makes it so that initially, the most absurdly valuable thing you can possibly find before food, water, almost before shoes and weapons, is alcohol wipes (or something akin). starting at rosewood gives you a chance to spawn near the fire station, which has a lot of incredible stuff, but it also has a great first-aid area in the garage (right next to the weapons and armor). immediately grab the alcohol wipes and clean *all* of your wounds, except for your neck. you will survive this. then, grab your axe and limp yourself up the stairs until you get to the kitchen. barricade yourself in by moving the furniture to block off the top of the stairwell, move the tv over to the sink (can’t miss carpentry shows, obv), and fill up your cooking pot. you… you did remember to find a cooking pot, right? I sure hope you did, because it’s going to be your lifeblood and saving grace for the next eternity. from there, spend the rest of your week sitting on the floor, replacing bandages. clear out the zombies nearby in your off time, raid a nearby house or two for some food and whatnot, and play safe. you can do a surprising amount while burned on every part of your body and having a broken leg. even stomping zombies is fairly free! just be ready to play real stealthy and understand how to keep zombies off of you without being able to outpace them. lose them, pick hordes off piece-by-piece, and let time be your best friend. from there, you’ll find your burns healing sooner than you’d think, and from there… well, don’t expect to be starting any campfires any time soon or throwing any molotov cocktails, and you’ll be off to the races with a ton of free perk points! easily my favorite way to play, and combined with the weak/unfit/very underweight traits, it’s a real blast. can’t recommend it enough to players like me, but I also know that that’s very much not the way everyone else would enjoy the game. only do it if it sounds fun to you, and don’t feel pressured into using any of them just because the perk points look juicy. you play the game in whatever way you find fun, regardless of what that looks like (assuming you’re not hurting anyone. I don’t condone stuff like going into a multiplayer server and griefing people). I wish I’d known about these sooner, and now I can’t imagine playing in any other way. can’t describe how good it feels to see all your wounds healing one-by-one

  • @june9914
    @june9914 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Anemic would be a lot nicer if you could check the status of a wound without removing the bandage. Like reapplying and disinfecting a neck wound while your arm is injured gives you about 1-2 seconds of leeway from full health two not bleed out, but bandages become dirty faster than you regen health. That being said as is I think it’s fine balance wise, coz it’s like with slow healer and thin skinned, just practice risk averse gameplay and you’ll be good

Granted, I tried this in a multiplayer server where I had someone who could watch my back, but that's a lot of points if you can survive the first week.

With just hoarder and no disorganized i get to have bags with 36 capacity (and at 10 strenght) 30 carry weight which is A LOT, seriously i can carry a full arsenal on myself with medicines, tons of water etc... no problem at all. I imagine with something that increases container capacity you can get backpacks with 45ish or 50 carry capacity, you judge if that's good but for me that I like to get tons of shit with me when it comes to wiping clean a couple of houses and zeds before returning to my base is just sooo good. The absolute best part about it is that it's non-permanent. You'll have it for 2-3 days at the start of your run and then you're done with it. You'll never have to worry about it ever again. At that point it's LITERALLY 4 free points.

I usually always get any injuries patched up first thing before anything so I didn’t notice it much.. Until we were in some town, can’t remember- maybe rosewood? Not certain. Anyway, me and friend had our car parked a little ways down a parking lot to this odd apartment complex looking building. So, we’re at the entrance of the building, and, just for reference on how close our car was, it was maybe like a average one story suburban house in length away from us- so we’re fighting, I miss my swing and boom, lacerated on the neck. It was so bad, by the time I got to the trunk of our car where we had spare rags because I didn’t have any one me, and when I had bandaged my neck I had maybe 2% of health left. I literally had to keep my bandage on for nearly a day because I needed to heal to practically full health or I was sure I’d bleed to death.. not fun, don’t recommend unless you’re very confident.

That’s another naked and afraid story for me.
Recently I playing a badly injured character with decent melee. I spawn in Muldraugh. My strategy is to hop from house to house. Using stealth, trees and fences to avoid getting caught. I took the path along the eastern forest to avoid big engagements. Taking a tv and alarm clock/watch to not miss educational tv shows. Sleeping pill or pain killers is needed to sleep well regardless of the pain.
My goal is to sneak into the warehouse near the Rusty Rifle bar, the one with lots of graffiti on it. It have plenty of tool shelves with a chance to spawn a machete or some good weapons. Then make it to the southern gas station to get gas and magazine. Secure a vehicle. Sneak into a book store to get skill books. Loot the police station nearby for guns. Loot the VHS store for tapes. By then I basically have almost all I need to hunker down in some safe house, reading books to levels up.
It’s a high risk high reward play through.

Starting as injured is pretty good, even if you are damaged to the legs they will probably heal on the 2nd or 3rd day. The only thing you have to do is just limit engagements to a few zombies at a time and you should be good. The only really annoying injury you can get is if you get burns on your arms, which you have to clean often and take the longest to heal. Although if you rip up clothes and boil the rags in the cooking pot, this really isn't that terrible.

I thought bad teeth was S tier when I first tried this mod. I immediately dropped it after that, but you could still play around it. My problem was that I wanted to top my food off before bed so I didn't get too hungry in my sleep. Next thing ya know, you're in too much pain to sleep. Easily avoidable if you go to bed hungry and have a big breakfast. So yeah, I might give it another shot now that I've put it into perspective. An added recipe to gargle salt water would be cool, but it'd have to be a unique pain moodlet.

butter fingers chance is reduced by lucky and pack mule. the base chance is 3. pack mule and lucky reduce it by 1 each. 10 is added to the chance when sprinting, 5 is added when running.
therefore, if you take pack mule and lucky and you don't sprint often, or you are mindful if unequipping items in your hands when sprinting, i think it's a great trait. lucky and pack mule are already AMAZING traits (especially if you're a forager+spear user). and butter fingers pays for both of those traits (it was updated to be -12 instead of -10)

Anemia is ok, I got bleeding a few times, it’s scary but I always have some bandages around so I fine with it. In worst case, I can just rip off my clothes for the wound.
Injured will be bad for a day if i don’t pick slow healing. You may got an unlucky one in the foot. If I die, it’s just early game so it’s like free point to me.
I haven’t got much luck with a broken leg start. Most of the time I can’t out run zombie except for one time I use a door to get them in line. Maybe climbing high fences may help as well. What is important to note for the bleedout perk: Only really bad injuries or wounds can actually make you fully bleed out.
After a certain point (Depending on the severety of your wound..) Your character will 'stop losing health' from the bleeding.
So.. while a bite in the neck will probably make you die almost instantly, everything else will hardly get to you. I still would not recommend it for beginners, but I think it's a solid B to A tier for Experienced players. It would grow in rank the better you are at the game.
To sum it up: Unless you've got your neck ripped open or you ended up with A LOT of bleeding wounds, this perk really is not that bad. Because you need to gain a severe enough wound or enough wounds so that your HP can actually drop to 0. Which.. that does take a lot. Usually your health will always stay at a certain point even if you do not bandage yourself. From that point on, it goes down extremely slowly. Almost like dying of thirst.

Anemic is awful. I'm a "thin-skinned is free points, just don't get cut" kinda guy, Thought I would give myself a challenge by starting injured and deprived. Spawned in a place with no clothes to loot, so I had to go somewhere else to find something to wear, and nearly bled out from a scratch taking a few steps while barefoot outside. Maybe if it gave you more points it might be worth it but at 4 points it's a huge debuff for not much gain.
