Every time I watch one of your thrifting videos it makes me wanna go thrifting and find some film cameras as well, I’m a newbie hobbyist photographer, and have been wanting to do film photography but don’t know what camera to start with and what not. But yes please continue these videos I love them.
When you come up to Seattle look and see if there's a ferries on film meetup while you're here, it's such a great time. Also try and go a bit east to the Snoqualmie and North bend area, you won't regret it
Oh, how I wish we had thrift stores here in the UK. A Canon F1 at that price would make me a happy man, and the F1 would make a great giveaway, but the spotmatic would make an equally great giveaway. Great video as always.
KJ - I really enjoy your thrift videos. I am heading to Charlotte NC this weekend and I am planning to hunt for film camera there as well. Never been to Charlotte, so I don't know what I may find......I may even drop you a few pics in the gram of my discoveries.
Great deal on the Elan 7! I love mine but I got the battery grip so that I can use 4x AAs instead of getting those special batteries. Battery door latch breaks very easily too. I had to tape mine to keep it closed.
Love thrifting cameras but from small town in New Zealand so not many come in, however just picked up a Canon FTb with 50mm 1.8 lens in excellent condition, yes my hands were shaking, your videos are great, love them :)
From one of your older videos about the Canon new F-1 I kinda thought you didn't like it as much and that's why you had gotten rid of it, glad you were able to score another one. I love mine and the condition of mine is like brand new like its just got out of the box from the 80s, this was my father's camera so it has a lot of sentimental value as well, I will never sell this camera and just keep shooting and enjoying it for as long as film is still around.
That f-1 😮 the wear on it looks beautiful. I'm off to Japan next month and am going to grab a film camera. Some advice would be great ! The f-1, Nikon F3 or the Pentax lx? I have to have that waste level viewfinder
I actually started using a film camera the first time I bought myself a Canon Rebel-G online. I enjoy the familiarity that is has going like first camera I started out several years ago a Rebel T6. Another thing I admire the Rebel G is I can use my 75-300mm lens on the camera I previously used on my older one.
Got my dad's F1 before he passed. Still haven't been able to put it to use and can't wait to do so. Pls do some more tutorials on how to get the most out of it. It's what brought me to your channel in the beginning. Keep up the great work and continue getting those great finds!
Very nice pick ups! I haven’t watched your videos in a minute but always loved these thrift videos. Always loved the vibes in all your videos. I look more for digicams more than film cameras nowadays but I was able to find an Olympus OM10 for $6, a Canon AE-1 for the same price! Both cameras came with their 50mm f/1.8 lenses. Also found a Sony NEX-5R for $25 and a Canon Powershot G9 for $20 in the same day
I have a spotmatic i use for portraits and am hoping to use for weddings too. My lenses are the 7 element 50 1.4 super tak and the 135 2.5 (not 3.5) super tak both work great adapted to my sony a7ii as well. Lots of fun.
I scored an F1 with the grip/winder on FB Marketplace here in Omaha for $200. Camera is MINT (after cleaning it). It’s such an awesome camera - stoked for you to have one. It’s my daily driver now with an FD 28mm f/2.8.
You found a goodwill bin. Them places are crazy. But I go thrifting for cameras. I found some good ones. I last year found a canon gx15. For 40 bucks came with extra battery and bag as well. It works great
I just thrifted..well FB marketplace got a Canon F1 and it is MINT! Looks like it's never been outside. for under $130. Winder and two lenses as well. Might be my best find yet.
Wow, I have to admit I’ve never done anything like that before. But now that you’ve been out and about, I’m absolutely itching to give it a try myself. I have no idea how to do something like that around here, we don’t really have those kinds of shops, but maybe there are other ways. I’m so happy that the F1 worked out for you. Karma! ;)
what the heck was that canon F1 new find BRUH, i am looking for that camera for soooo long, i love the f1 so much, lover of the A-1 i am basically hunting for one of those, love the finds btw
I really miss thrift shopping in Japan and finding working film cameras and lenses for about 500 yen to 1100 yen on a daily places. The flea markets and thrift stores here in Jacksonville, FL be asking retail usually for untested junk
Best deal i ever stumbled on, a Canon Ftb w 2 50mm 1.8 fd lenses, 2 28mm off brands in perfect shape and a 135mm off brand tele all like new for 50 bucks !!!!!
the tattoo artist and his shout outs to his fam is adorable 😊 the jingles as you travel to thrift stores 😂 hearing all the tagalog in the background, i felt like for once i understood the whole video
In my country thrift stores always try to rip you off and sell old cameras for many times their ebay value 🤣 i miss the USA mainly for the cheap film cameras at thrift stores and old markets ;p
This is my first time seeing this channel this is a. Relaxing video and it's very informative I'm looking for a cheap TH-cam camera can you please give me a few recommendations.I will be watching everyday now.
When I was a teen in the '60s I was drooling over three cameras that I couldn't afford--the Nikkormat or the Spotmatic or the Canon FT. (The Nikon F was too far out of my league to even fantasize about.) To see a Spotmatic for 18 bucks is amazing; even after 55 years. What did I end up with? The FT's cheap little sibling, the TL-QL. A damned good camera, too. And a year later I scraped together $250 for...wait...a Leica M3. And two years after that I got my Nikon F. So I did alright
Sucks living in Montana due to there being very little amount of opportunity in finding anything. tried everywhere locally and found nothing since I started a year ago. Doesn’t help living in a “small town”
Man you have to keep your mouth shut when you find something good! I had a moment of stupidity when I did the same thing you did and said "I can't believe I found this camera" and they said wait lets check the prices online. Boom the price went up 100%! Silence is golden.
Hope yall enjoyed this thrift episode! Drop a like on it and subscribe for the next film camera giveaway ❤️
Congrats with the Canon New F-1, the best analog 35mm SLR Camera ever made, second to none !
The F1 was def a good find.. with the extras… got mine for about 300 with no extras. One of my favorite 35mm

15:38 I think both of my Nikon FMs have a similar focusing screen… split in the middle, ring of splits around it… 🤷♂️😸
Oh, how I wish we had thrift stores here in the UK. A Canon F1 at that price would make me a happy man, and the F1 would make a great giveaway, but the spotmatic would make an equally great giveaway. Great video as always.
Thrift store finds just hit different 🥲

Did you go the vintage camera swap meet/sale, in Kent WA. South of Seattle, this weekend?
You’d LOVE IT!
Sounded like you were in town.
Love thrifting cameras but from small town in New Zealand so not many come in, however just picked up a Canon FTb with 50mm 1.8 lens in excellent condition, yes my hands were shaking, your videos are great, love them :)
I love this dude! Keep it going! I have the Canon F1 and a waist level viewfinder for it as well. This bad boy is so fun to shoot with. Well done!
The thrift vids are the most fun. I am eternally fascinated by the film cameras that came out of the 60s, 70s, 80s..
From one of your older videos about the Canon new F-1 I kinda thought you didn't like it as much and that's why you had gotten rid of it, glad you were able to score another one. I love the spotmatic cameras.. I have a old 500 that I use every season :). Also that lens is my favorite lens too on my spotmatic :)

Your thrifting videos inspired me to hit up two Goodwills and an antique mall yesterday. Zero cameras. So I guess with your haul, it averaged out!
Wow!! That F1 - what a bargain.
You found a goodwill bin. Them places are crazy. But I go thrifting for cameras. I found some good ones. I last year found a canon gx15. For 40 bucks came with extra battery and bag as well. It works great
Man.. I was just thinking of heading over to that exact eco thrift the other day. i just missed out big time HAHA
I just thrifted..well FB marketplace got a Canon F1 and it is MINT! Looks like it's never been outside. for under $130. Winder and two lenses as well. Might be my best find yet.
Spotmatics are great and all but the battery issue makes it a hassle to get consistency.
Nice haul!
I have yet to find anything in the thrift shops around me. Only found one item at a pawn shop -- Nikon N65 for $15.
Great video! Jackpot with that F-1, too bad that Nikon didn't work!
These thrifting episodes are some of my favorite!!! That F1 was a serious Come up!!!
Wow, I have to admit I’ve never done anything like that before. But now that you’ve been out and about, I’m absolutely itching to give it a try myself. Great find I been looking for that f1.
I remember seeing a super 8 camera in Italy for $10 and skipping on it. I kind of regret it now. It’s so hard to find around in toronto
In my country thrift stores always try to rip you off and sell old cameras for many times their ebay value 🤣 i miss the USA mainly for the cheap film cameras at thrift stores and old markets ;p
You are so lucky to have those beautiful cameras 🙂

You lucky sod finding a Canon F1 with all those extras for $140 I've just bought a mint condition in box for £400 from Japan.
CANON F-! Great find!
Morro bay in the intro? East coaster here
That F1, what a score.
That f-1n is fire but that neck is gonna get a work out since that thing weighs like a tank
A working FM2 for $180 is a steal . But $180 for a paper weight is a hard pass
I managed to score a near mint FM2N with the 50mm f1.8 for 175. Still shocked by that one!
I hope there are thrift stores like that here in the PH 🇵🇭
I would be so happy with either of those cameras for a giveaway!!!
Sucks living in Montana due to there being very little amount of opportunity in finding anything. tried everywhere locally and found nothing since I started a year ago. Doesn’t help living in a “small town”
New Canon F-1. Bingo!
The new F1 is so good!
OMG, I'd be hyperventilating if I came across those cameras in a thrift shop. Wow !
Without a doubt give the Pentax!
Morro bay is and has always been my favorite place on earth
Great video!
Ok..I want the Pentax..actually the Canon F-1, but I go with the Pentax if you’re giving it away..lol.

I found a Helios 44 (Red P, 13 blade, F22) on a Zenit 3 for $20 the other day. Serial number on the lens is 7306!!!
Man you have to keep your mouth shut when you find something good!
I had a moment of stupidity when I did the same thing you did and said "I can't believe I found this camera" and they said wait lets check the prices online. Boom the price went up 100%!
Silence is golden.
Give away the Yashica ❤❤
