Got an old bickerton folding bike that has been in my Dad's shed for years. I haven't ventured out properly on it yet. Ive always liked the idea of folding bikes, being able to out on a train, coach etc.
I live in Manchester England and the bike paths are improving here although many roads are still deathtraps. Im planning to cycle to the train station, jump on the train.and explore a few cycles paths routes in the city.

You should consider getting a rearview mirror. I just started riding again and noticed that I really need one too for my bike. Especially on the trails where I'm likely to be passed by another cyclist. At least on the roads you can hear the cars coming. Really enjoy your videos. Glad I discovered your channel.

I would recommend one of those small mirrors that can be fixed on a helmet. Keeps you informed about a traffic behind and close to the eyes.

5:48 This is why I actually went the other way instead of a folding bike I got a bike with mid-fat 3 inch wide tires, I can literally ride off the pavement and even hit some gnarly stuff that would toss you off a normal bike with ease, though I don't do mass transit and such and I also do bike packing routes so a folding bike wouldn't be up to that, but for the type of stuff you are doing it is ideal!

In Arizona, USA, you can ride on the actual interstates but the shoulders are very wide but can be full of trucker debris.

I'm touring my folding bike here in Chile around Lago Ranco with my wife
The bikes (Dahon) have performed great

    Nice one, Andy, cheers!
Here in the middle of the Black Forest Germany it's even worse with cycleways!
And yes Andy, show us NZ! :)
Who filmed you at 7:49? :)
    See Ya, Rich

An Aussie here, I reckon driving in NZ is bad enough. A lot of winding roads and hills....lovely country though. Cheers.

Nice ride! You’re braver than me for riding on the highway! I’m in the US and riding here is similarly frightening except with less nice views 😂

30 yrs ago, I used to live in grey st up in the town, and rode to the beach every second day , had surfboards stashed at a mates place. I see that house is still there in the corner by the rocks. It never was that fun to ride to the beach and back, especially with the mine worker and their 4x4's.
