I typically do woodworking of small items, sewing, jewelry and candles. I will use vinyl on some of my wood & sewn items as well as leather/pleather jewelry and on the candle jars. Years ago I did cups and the translucent tumblers, but the crafting events I do to seem to.always be inundated with people selling tumblers, so I avoid them and try to offer something unique.

Another way to do pricing is to take your cost of goods sold (materials) and mark that up 50%. Then, take your time spent, multiply by your hourly rate, and add those two together. A 50%.markup is pretty standard, but you will find that there are some things you will only mark up 30% and some things you will mark up 70%. You will find these are the exceptions, and the majority of the time, 50% works perfect. I'm a cost accountant.

Love the freezer paper technique!! And I agree with Christmas ornament training :) the forth tumbler you talked about with just the glitter vinyl that has to be hand wash only, couldn't you add a layer of epoxy over the whole tumbler to make it dishwasher safe and hold up much longer?

Your formula doesn’t work for knitted items. I make knitted berets and it can take several hours to make and I use wool blends, bamboo etc! I don’t use acrylic yarns.
