Your Dad wants you to finish this because he knows how much you put in to it already. This isn't just any hike. It's a rite of passage, a test of your metal. I'm thinking he's super proud of you right now. I would be.

Thank you for sharing about the mental aspects of the trail! It’s so important to talk about mental health, and you’re awesome for doing that!

Just to let you know, we do care about your mental health, as much as your physical health. I think every one would agree that you crept into our hears and we feel your emotions through your videos. Best of luck for what's still ahead Jessie!

Glad to see you made it to your next campsite without incident.
The landscape up on top of those mountains was so beautiful.
If you pass through Greenville, ME on your way to Katahdin, I would really appreciate a look around the town while you’re there.
It’s on my list of possible towns to retire to.
Wishing you safe hiking, beautiful views, and dry feet.

Keep in mind that creams like athletes foot cream contain oil and will thus prevent your feet from drying out all the water they absorbed. Your feet need to dry at night if they are wet all day. I suggest putting the athletes foot cream on in the morning after drying them all night long.

Sweetheart you cry and let that be your release. I know this hike has to be such an emotional experience. When you get home we want to hear about it over and over again. You are all we talk about and everyone is so proud of you. Your dad smiles every time he talks about you. You should know your dad and I have talked about his surgery so many times and his faith is so strong so we both walk away knowing he was going to make it through without a hitch and he did. No complications!!! Praise God. The first thing we talked about after his surgery was YOU He is looking forward to seeing you stand at that sign on the top of the mountain and then he can't wait to see you in person. You only have a few days to go and already proving your strength shows You got this. God is with you for a safe journey and we love you so much.

I don't follow your channel to watch a girl walk through the woods. Caught a few of your first vids and wasn't sure about you. Couple months in you were still there and I have followed every since. In spite of all your struggles up to now you've shown tenacity and a won't quit attitude. All that to say "we care"! So sorry to hear about your dad and what your family is going through I pray it went well, and that you will complete your mission and get back home to him.

I’m so glad to hear your dad is ok and got through the surgery successfully! I feel you on the ignorant and creepy comments. I don’t think some men realize how uncomfortable they can make women feel. And hen again, some do. Stay vigilant, sis! Keep up the great work. 💙

I just had open heart surgery. Four bypasses and a new heart valve. If you were my daughter I would be wanting you to finish and then come home to see me. Just like your dad. You are killing it! I know these videos are delayed and you may have even finished already and back home hugging your dad! 🙂

So glad to hear of your father’s successful surgery. While for each of us individually such a procedure can be very scary these procedures are literally done hundreds if not thousands of times each year. Success rates are around 90% five years post surgery so your dad’s gonna be fine. Dry feet tomorrow night!! It’s the “small” things, right? By the way, I worked in the mental health field for many years and sharing your emotions is not only a positive for you, it gives others “permission” to process, out in the open, their concerns and fears. Sometimes exposure to sunlight allows us to see our self talk with a more rational and factual perspective. Keep on trekking Honeybee!!

I feel for your worry about your dad. I took care of my father for years before he passed away two years ago. A parents illness is one of the toughest things we go through. It must be especially trying being out on trail while it’s happening. Hoping for a speedy recovery for him.

My wife has had 2 kidney transplants and my daughters has had one and both my boys will also have to have a transplant. It is a major surgery of course but one that has been done successfully thousands and thousands of time. Your dad will feel better almost instantly with a working kidney. Be strong , and if you really feel you need to be there then be there for him, but he will be fine either way. Your so close I hope you are able to finish our prayers are with you and your dad

You have accomplished so much and you are a very strong and determined young lady. I believe you can make it to Katahdin, it will be worth it in the end. Easy for me to say because it’s not my mental or physical struggle but I am praying that you can!
